I am so grateful for Kris! She is so kind and accommodating. Our dogs are a little high maintenance (one has some behavioral issues and the other has special needs) and she was more than happy to take care of them. In the past when we’ve had a poor experience with other walkers my dogs are stressed when I get home. Every time Kris has taken care of my dogs they seem so calm and content! She leaves detailed notes about the visit and sends lots of pictures, which I appreciate. She also stopped by to meet them beforehand to make sure it was a good fit. I would 100% recommend her services and will continue to book with her!

About: Professionally, I have 5 years of experience watching animals. Much more with personal experience, having owned animals almost my whole life on and off. I also fostered puppies, and recently adopted a 15 week old lab mix. (8 months old now) She is very friendly and also loves cats (the white lab with freckles in most pics). I also have 2 cats that are VERY good with dogs. Cats take more time, but I have cat rooms with cat walls, and spaces to separate if necessary. They will get all the love and care they need. Some cats adjust same day and fit right in. Some take more time, or don’t want to be bothered during their stay. Either way, we make sure to take very good care of them. I have a lot more experience with smaller/medium breeds, and prefer small to medium dogs. Our home is big with plenty of space, and we have a park close to us that we enjoy walking to often. I am fairly active, so they will get plenty of excercise between myself, husband and kids for dogs staying overnight. I work from home, so am very flexible around school drop offs and pickups. I can take 1-2 dogs overnight, and I promise they will get the love and attention they need. I have 1 older girl who help me keep a close eye on things. For dogs that get into things, we block off back rooms to keep them close for safety reasons. We have baby gates and clean very well before visits.

Allison was absolutely amazing! She was able to walk my puppy two days in a row when I was unable to get home from work to let her out. She sent pictures and kept me updated. I will definitely be reaching out to her again.

About: Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve spent time looking after pets for friends, family, and neighbors—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I pay close attention to their personalities and needs so they feel right at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I build my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits, and I ensure each pet receives consistent attention, exercise, and care. I keep my schedule organized so I can be reliable and fully present for every visit. I care for pets in their own home where they feel safest and most relaxed. I stick to their usual routine—meals, walks, playtime, and downtime—so nothing feels disrupted while you’re away. I spend quality time with each pet, not just quick visits, and always make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. I also keep you updated so you have peace of mind.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. Growing up I was around breeds such as Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Chows, German Shepards, Poodles and Lhasa Apsos. The first time I became a dog mom was to Zoe, a Bichon Frise. I lived in Chicago at the time in an apartment so I had to walk her multiple times a day. Bichons also need a lot of maintenance with their fur, so I’m very familiar with grooming methods of that type of breed. After Zoe, I became a dog mom to a Pit Bull/German Shepherd puppy, Garner. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and had him for 13.5 years. I understand the level of care a puppy needs as well as a senior dog. I’m also very familiar with handling large breeds on a leash. I understand how a pet is part of the family and I will show your dog lots of love and affection, just like I would my own. I am available Monday-Friday 8am-2pm then from 6pm-8pm. I’m available 7am-10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please contact me if you need help outside of those times and I can try to work with you. I’m not able to keep your dog in my home, but I will always make sure your dog is safe in your home. I will always follow your safety protocols.

My education comes from NC State University with a minor in Animal Science, I volunteer regularly with Caring Hearts for Canines, and am a certified Canine Care and Training Instructor though the AKC. About: I am a lifelong l lover of all animals. As a kid I had dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and fish. As often as I could be, I was outside looking for all types of animals and exploring nature. Currently I have 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 beautiful little girls. One of my dogs is diabetic and I have to administer insulin daily. I have a lot of experience caring for many animals with different dietary and health needs. Right now, I am a stay at home dad. My wife is off work for the Summer, so I will have time available to help care for your pets. My children will also be starting pre-school in the Fall so I will have plenty of time available for pet visits. I am very detail oriented, and will make sure I care for your pets how you prefer, and follow your instructions to the best of my ability. I currently have two daughters in elementary school. I drop-off and pickup every day from school. I am available while they are in school (approx. 8:00AM-2:00PM) and may have availability later in the afternoon some days. I am available for any drop-in visits at client's home (including walking, feeding, and other routine pet care) but, am not caring for pets at my home at this time.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve volunteered with shelters and own three of my own for the last 10 years. I’m currently working from home and hoping to get out of the house for a bit by doing drop in visits or dog walks. I’m available to board dogs as well so long as any furry guest gets along with the dogs already in the house. I’m comfortable administering medication so long as instructions are given. I’m certified in canine CPR. Im happy to cater to the needs of your dog and follow any instructions you provide. As im working from home, im available nearly all the time except for a few virtual meetings during the week. Our normal routine is a short walk in the morning, they hang out with me while I work, maybe a walk or a game at lunch, more work from home, then free in the evening for movie nights/parks/bite to eat somewhere dog friendly. I have a fenced yard with a doggy door to the back. I have also converted my office into a dog room with space for extra crate if that’s what is preferred. Animals are allowed on furniture at the owners discretion. I recognize all owners do things a bit differently and I know how worrisome it can be to leave them with a stranger so I want to put your mind at ease by conforming my care to how you prefer.

About: I was born and raised with dogs, cats, birds, and horses. I’ve never known a time in my life without animals! From farm animals to household pets, I’ve cared for them all. I’m a big proponent of positive reinforcement and prioritize gentle care and minimal stress for your pet. I’m comfortable with complex medical needs, seniors, and "quirky" pets. I’m happy to adhere to routines and training for continuity. I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care that I treat my own ❤️ I’m doing animal care full time at the moment so I have a flexible schedule. I can work in midday visits, late night check ins, and multiple visits. Whatever works best for you! I’m happy to take your pup on neighborhood walks, play in the yard, or go on outings to Sniffspots or parks. I can drop in and check on your cats or spend time doing enrichment activities. I’ll treat your home with respect as I would my own and can take care of house sitting chores while you’re out of town. At my home, I have a large fenced yard and three very playful dogs. A large greenway runs through my neighborhood and is shaded for year round walks. I can crate your pup separately as needed.

I recently adopted Tucker and he is very shy around new people. Before the first walk, Shannon took the time to sit with him and get Tucker comfortable with her. After that, he looked forward to the daily walk. I will definitely use Shannon again.

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Because I’ve always had pets of my own, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust looking after your furry family members. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply keeping a routine, I’m here to provide dependable, caring support for your pets. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets, I respectfully follow the pet’s normal schedule like handling feedings, walks, potty breaks, medication if needed, and any special instructions you provide. No matter where the care takes place, I’m committed to offering reliable, loving, and attentive service so your pet feels happy and secure while you’re away.

About: I grew up with several different kinds of animals at home. My first job was at a pet store and I have continued to love caring for animals since then. I've taken care of friends and neighbors pets for several years. I am comfortable with any pet, as long as they have a good temperament. I am a fourth grade teacher, so my schedule is completely open in the summer. During the school year, my availability is mostly limited to weekends. At my home I have a fenced in backyard and two high energy dogs ( a Dutch Shepherd and a Corgi) who would love a buddy to play with. I also have three children, ages 8-15, who like to help take care of our furry friends. At your home you can expect your pet to be cared for just like you were there, whether they need to be walked or just let out and played with while you are away. Dogs must be crate trained for boarding or day care at my home. This allows me to make sure my pets and yours are safe when I leave the house.

Melissa did great with Colt this morning! They bonded together very quickly and had an excellent walk in the woods on this September morning before it gets hot this afternoon. I can tell that Colt really likes her and I highly recommend her and will be needing her assistance again to walk Colt in the very near future!
