About: ⭐️ MEET AND GREETS WITH NEW CLIENTS ⭐️ DETAILED updates with videos / photos ⭐️ extra treats and cuddles!!! I have hands on experience caring for both my own dogs, neighbors dogs while they’re away, and 6+ months on the rover app. I regularly care for my two best friends a Labrador named Luna and a Collie/Beagle mix named Maggie. handling their feeding, fresh water, medication/vitamins, playtime, and daily attention. With my new furry friends I’ve made I treat them with the same care as if they’re my own family. What sets me apart is that I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely LOVE spending time with animals. I take pet safety seriously, follow routines closely, and make sure pets feel comfortable and loved while their owners are gone. I want to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible with me!! Pet care fits well into my weekly routine alongside school. I attend school Monday through Friday (Sep-May) but I’m flexible to make your pets routine work for me! plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and attentive care. I provide pet care exclusively in my client’s home to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, routines, and safety guidelines. I make sure pets always have fresh water, a clean space, and plenty of attention. I respect my client’s home, keep doors and gates secure, and prioritize the pet’s royal safety, comfort, and well-being in their palace at all times!

About: I’ve taken care of furbabies my whole life, as I get older I have more experience and more opportunities to do with them. I love having the opportunity to take care of them and I love when the owners are comfortable enough to trust me with them. Everytime I take care of my brothers pit he absolutely loves it since he gets so spoiled rotten lol. After a hot walk I tend to make natural eatable frozen pops for them, and after dinner he gets play time outside with me. I treat my furbabies like if their a child/baby since that’s how I view them. It comes straight from my heart and I’m very genuine and patient with them! Im currently not working, so im available throughout the week for whoever furbabies needs company! Im also sometimes available on weekends just depends, but doesn’t hurt to ask since im willing to cancel unimportant plans if someone needs a sitter! If it’s my house, I have a fenced backyard with a pool therefore, I don’t have much yard. I’m right on the golf course though, that has a trail I could take them on for a nice walk so their not always in the house. I have female animals, 1 small dog and 1 cat both very friendly, but shy lol so they probably won’t play together. I also have a upstairs that I could use as a extra open area for anything, I recommend it for the pups that are in creates since with my upstairs, they don’t need to be since I have a gate and pee pads I could put down so their not locked up if they don’t need to be. If it’s the owners house I’m open to anything, as long as I have rules and exceptions I know to follow just ask and tell me! I’ll make sure your furbabies feel at home no matter the place. :)

About: I’m a dog mom myself and have been taking care of dogs (and occasionally cats) since I was a kid. I’ll treat your fur babies like they’re my own! I currently work part time and mostly from home, so I’ll have plenty of spare time to take care of your pets. My schedule is flexible, varies week to week, and is something I have control over to change as needed. I’m available for walks, drop in visits, or pet sitting in your home. I’m reliable and a dog mom myself, so I’ll treat your babies just like they’re my own.

About: I’ve always been the kind of person who learns the dog’s name before the human’s. 🐾 Whether your dog is a professional couch potato, a fetch fanatic, a certified Velcro dog, or thinks every walk is the greatest adventure of their life, I love figuring out what makes them happiest. I also have extensive hands on experience with Believe in Dog Training in Houston Heights, where I’ve learned a lot about dog behavior, communication, and training. I’ve personally taken two of my own dogs through training with them, so I understand how important consistency, positive reinforcement, boundaries, and keeping up with the commands and routines your dog already knows can be. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m happy to follow your normal walking routine, feeding schedule, commands, house rules, and all those little quirks that make your dog your dog. I don’t want your pet to simply be checked off a to do list while you’re gone. They’ll get genuine attention, playtime, walks, love, and cuddles if that’s their thing. And yes, you can absolutely expect photo updates including the unnecessarily cute ones. 🐶❤️ My schedule is flexible, which means I have plenty of time to make your pets a priority! 🐾 I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop ins, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine because we all know they’re the ones actually running the schedule. Whether it’s morning zoomies, an afternoon walk, or dinner served precisely when demanded, I’m there! Your pet’s safety comes first fun is a very close second! 🐾 I follow your instructions, routines, house rules, and training cues closely because consistency matters. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, and surroundings, and I’ll never introduce your pet to another animal or take them somewhere new without your permission. I also know every pet has their quirks. Whether I need to give them space, burn off some serious zoomies, throw the ball approximately 900 times, or provide mandatory couch cuddles, I’ll adapt to what makes your pet feel safe and happy. You can expect plenty of updates and pictures along the way because wondering what your pet is doing while you’re gone is half the struggle! ❤️

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands on experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and more. I’ve also worked at Banfield Pet Hospital, giving me experience in a veterinary setting and a strong understanding of how important attentive pet care is. From energetic puppies to senior dogs, I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ll treat your pets like family, keep you updated, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! 🐾🩷 I’m currently a full time student, so my schedule is flexible and I’m able to work around your pet’s needs. I’m generally available throughout the week, with Thursdays being my busiest day. I’m especially flexible for weekends, evenings, and overnight stays, and I’m happy to coordinate ahead of time to make sure I can accommodate your pet’s routine. About: I've had animals my whole life and have over 6 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. I currently work in the pet care field washing and drying dogs, so I'm confident handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I'm pet CPR and First Aid certified, and I take safety and care seriously. I've also helped friends and family with pet and house sitting, and I truly love what I do. Every animal is unique, and I always treat them with love and respect like they're part of my family. I recently graduated high school and currently have a very open, flexible schedule. I work part-time at a grooming salon on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but the rest of my week is wide open for pet care. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine because I genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m reliable, easy to reach, and happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, and even last-minute bookings whenever I’m available. I live in a house with a fully fenced yard and share my home with three friendly dogs and two cats (who mostly stay upstairs). We have gates throughout the home, which makes it easy to separate pets or puppies if needed. I’m happy to crate your dog if that’s what they’re used to, or create a calm setup based on their unique needs. Whether your pet is high-energy, shy, or somewhere in between, I always provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where they’ll feel like family.

About: Before I moved to Humble, I lived in San Antonio where I grew up volunteering with a great dane rescue. I have fostered over 2 dozen great danes including a variety of some other breeds as well. I have volunteering experience at both rescues and shelters. I’ve enjoyed meeting all different types of dogs. I have a soft spot for the giant breeds but really love them all. I am comfortable dealing with dogs in any stage of life. I enjoy the puppy energy just as much as relaxing with our senior pups. I graduated Grooming School in May and am now an official Groomer! I currently work full time at a local Pet Resort but that won’t stop me from making time for your pets. I can take off time to care for your pups if necessary. Whether I am House-sitting or walking, I will make time to meet your needs. I pride myself on being a great pet owner and companion. I would care for clients dogs as if they were my own with lots of patience and quality time. I would prefer to keep pets on their own schedule in their own home to minimize stress and change for them. Many pets are just more comfortable in their own space. I do work full time but could come back to the home if needed. I would be staying in the home with the pets so that they could have as much of my time and attention as possible.

We could not have asked for a better sitter than Megan for our week-plus trip. Going in, we were honestly a little nervous — between our 3 dogs (1 German Shepherd and 2 Corgis) and 6 cats, it's a lot of personalities and needs to juggle — but Megan handled it like she'd been doing it for years. She sent check-ins every single day, complete with pictures and videos, so we never once wondered how everyone was doing. The dogs were brushed daily, walked, fed on schedule, and clearly happy and relaxed in every photo. The cats got just as much attention, which isn't always a given with a multi-pet household this size. She also stayed right on top of medicine and vitamins for the whole crew, never missing a dose — that alone takes a level of organization and trust we don't hand out lightly. What really stood out was the state of our house when we got home. It wasn't just "fine" — it was spotless, arguably cleaner than when we left. Litter boxes maintained, no messes left behind, everything tidy and put away. That level of care and respect for our home, on top of juggling 9 animals and their daily meds, says a lot about her reliability and work ethic. If you have a full house and want someone who treats your pets and your space like their own, book Megan. We'll absolutely be using her again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Harmaston

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Harmaston on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 3,283 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Harmaston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Harmaston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Harmaston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Harmaston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harmaston. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
