“Lori is my favorite sitter on this app. She's great with my cats, clearly loves animals. Excellent communicator, she gives me total peace of mind when I'm out of town that my cats are being well looked after.”

“Kate went above and beyond with our two cats that we had to leave for an extended amount of time. We received multiple updates and fun photos each visit. It gave us such peace of mind to know they were safe and being well taken care of. She even updated us on weather conditions and helped prepare our home for an upcoming storm when we couldn’t return home in time. We will definitely be rebooking Kate in the future and know our two boys will be very excited to see us go!”
“My first time using Rover. Julie made me very comfortable leaving my dogs sending pictures during her visits. She had good rapport with them during her meet & they “posed” well for pictures while I was gone so that rapport obviously continued.”

About: ---> Sorry, I do NOT accept most spunky, young dogs Over 40 pounds. Most of the small pets I care for cannot physically handle playing with most dogs over 40 pounds. (Unless your pet is an elder and/or they're very mellow) <--- My name is Melissa (aka. "Missy"). I'd like to care for your precious pet the next time you need some help. Do you have somewhere to go, or something to do? Let me help you, at your place or mine!?! You & your pet can book me for a caring, one hour, drop-in visit to your home, a few overnight visits, or an extended stay at my house. You need help at the last minute ... ? No problem. I can easily provide safe pet transportation. I can also help you fulfill the rules & requirements at a "Pet-Friendly" NOLa hotel, when the rules say, “you cannot leave your pet in the hotel room alone”. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant - This means your precious pet will NEVER be left alone for long hours, whenever they're in my care. I will be at your pet's side, while you take care of business or if you have a fun get-away planned. I’m very comfortable with many different animals & dog breeds, including elderly dogs that need a mellow, safe space with calm, gentle care. I pay close attention to what your dog likes & dis-likes, along with their personality quirks & individual needs. I enjoy caring for all animals, both young & old. I do not accept more than 2-3 dogs at a time. I USUALLY only schedule ONE family's pet(s) at the same time, especially if there’s a new dog client. I always put in a great deal of consideration, before scheduling more than one family's pet at the same time. My home is very spacious, clean, well-organized & safe. I have a large, gated/enclosed & secure, backyard. The dogs that stay with me are ALWAYS supervised. My eyes will be on your pet constantly, while we play at your home or mine, both inside & outside. Allow me to love & care for your precious pet, while you take care of you. Let's discuss your needs. I do offer one free meet & greet. Other than dogs, I also have experience caring for: Cats, Birds, Bunnies, Turtles, Lizards, Snakes, Hamsters, Fish, Frogs, Chickens & Plants. Most of my pet guests are small, therefore any extra frisky, playful pet, over 40 pounds may cause physical harm, even if they are just playing. I'd rather not take that chance. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant. I’m rarely away from the house for more than 2-3 hours. I will always keep my eyes on your pet, even when the pet is roaming around the backyard. My backyard has a 9 ft. high, wooden fence. I also have a gated entry, front-yard/patio. I can provide crates if needed. My 20pound dog is 8yrs. old and he is very mellow & well behaved. He welcomes another dog friend anytime. We have a trusted routine for introducing new pet guests.

About: Former Registered Nurse, forever animal lover! I truly enjoy taking care of animals and people. I have had dogs all my life, my mom even had 6 dachshunds at one time in our lives! She currently has three large Bernedoodles that I house sit and walk for her when she needs. I have two senior Labrador Retrievers that live with my dad and his Border collie, who I house sit, walk, and eternally throw a ball to when he needs. I also occasionally baby sit my sister’s havanese and brother’s dachshunds. So I guess you could say I have experience with dogs big and small and all ages. I currently teach motorcycle safety classes at NOLA Riding Academy on weekends so I’m available most weekdays. I currently teach motorcycle safety classes at NOLA Riding Academy on weekends so I am available most weekdays and some weekends. I live in Elmwood/River Ridge area. I have experience walking a 95lb chill bernedoodle, an excited 78lb bernedoodle, an incredibly energetic 35lb border collie, a 10lb curious dachshund, and a 6lb havanese that just wants to do her business and get back inside. After some treat bribing I can get my mom’s timid 36lb bernedoodle to go on a walk and once she’s out she loves it! I can throw the ball for hours to my dad’s never tired border collie and can get him back into his crate when it’s time. I pet my attention loving yellow lab until I collect a hairball the size of him.
“Celeste was so sweet! We felt very comfortable having her watch our cat while we were out of town. She was super accommodating and we loved the photos that she sent us. We will definitely book with Celeste again.”

About: I’ve grown up with whole life with dogs, so I know the importance of taking care of your 4-legged family member(s) that are important in your life. I want to provide my services so that your fur baby is safe and comfortable in their own home, while you are alway from home. I’ve had small dogs such as jack Russell’s and as big as pit bulls in my family. No fur baby is too big or too small to love and care for. I am currently not working since I am finishing my degree in Nursing. The only work I have been doing is part-time babysitting and dog sitting on the side & weekends. I am mostly available weekdays from 8am-8pm. Weekends can be tricky for me due to other side jobs such as babysitting, so it just depends. Just ask if you have questions about any specific weekend. I currently have a recused pitbull-husky mix living in my home with me, that loves to play all day. She is recently just finished her heart worm treatment as of August 2025. We just started slowly becoming active again. Due to her circumstances, I have been able to learn more about pets medication and aiding in helping her through this process. Unfortunately, I can not have any pets in my home due to renting restrictions of no more than 1 dog. However, I am available to help with other pets medications and care for your fur pup in your home.
“Dani was fantastic! She even stopped in extra because my dogs were being a bit more needy than I anticipated! She kept me up to date with pictures and comments so I knew what was going on and we could make decisions together! She truly made it like my animals were her babies as well! 100% recommended!”

About: Nothing, I'm just a regular guy that dogs&cats know is a great person. I give off good vibes only. This is an opportunity to learn about pets in general and meet new people. Open to negotiation on a price we both can agree on. If you're a fan of anime, I'm your guy. Easily. I've fallen on hard times and am learning new skills currently. Which makes me available all the time. All day every day. Always available essentially. I like to be secure. Always lock the door before leaving the house. I’m a 2nd black belt in Taekwondo, blue belt in BJJ, and have practiced Muay Thai and Judo, and am a decorated wrestler. If it's a big dog I am sitting and anything happens we will become a tag team in perfect sync. The 2nd thing is organization and cleanliness. I despise clutter, hate leaving a mess. My greatest offer is security when I watch your pets and your home.
“Jayde has been amazing for my Lab Niko, incredibly sweet and has gone above and beyond to take care of him including multiple walks a day plus play time. Highly recommend and will definitely call again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and we just moved here Monday and had an event we needed to go to. Mimi was wonderful and followed the instructions for our cat and I'm with him now and he is a very happy guy. I will definitely be reaching out to Mimi again when we need someone to watch our cat. I was very reassured by the pictures she sent and his report card. 🙂”

About: I’ve been walking and caring for animals since I was a young child, so I bring a lot of hands-on experience and confidence in handling pets of all kinds. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong understanding of animal behavior and how to keep them safe, happy, and well-exercised. I’m currently working from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to dedicate time and attention to pet care. I’ve developed strong time management and organizational skills that translate well into pet walking and training. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to be available during key times of the day for walks, check-ins, and consistent training sessions. Since I’m already accustomed to planning my day around routines, I’m able to reliably incorporate pet care into my schedule while maintaining a high level of attention and consistency. This flexibility also means I can accommodate client needs more easily and provide dependable, attentive care for their pets. I provide a safe and trustworthy environment by prioritizing consistency, attentiveness, and clear communication. Because I work from home, pets are never left unattended for long periods, and I’m able to closely monitor their behavior, comfort, and safety at all times. My experience working with animals since childhood has taught me how to recognize signs of stress or discomfort early and respond appropriately. I also maintain a clean, organized space and follow any specific instructions from pet owners regarding routines, feeding, and training. Building trust is very important to me, so I make sure to communicate regularly with updates and ensure each pet is cared for with patience, reliability, and genuine attention.
About: Hello neighbors and fellow pet parents! My name is Allie and I am a full time night shift RN. What full time means for me: I work three 12 hour night shifts per week and on those days and for half the day after my 3rd shift I don’t offer pet sitting services because your animals deserve all the attention. It also means that I am home 4-5 days out of the week all day. I have two indoor/outdoor cats named Karma and Mo. I also have a sweet 7lb Chiweenie named Murphy. All of my animals are fixed and UTD on vaccinations. I have a large fenced in back yard that has plenty of room for more paws. My cats keep to themselves and are used to Murphy’s zoomies. Murph loves dogs and cats of all sizes as well as children (talk to me about babysitting as well). I am just looking to give Murphy some socialization and playtime with friends on my off days and have more doggos to pet 🥰 I am home during the daytime and I work 3 night shifts per week that is not a set schedule. I will update my specific availability every month. I have a large fenced in backyard and I live close to Lafreniere park for frequent walks if the weather is right. Murphy loves laying in the sun and running around with any animal that will play with him. He even befriended a neighborhood turtle. I also love the outdoors so you can expect me to sit outside and play with the dogs while enjoying the sun myself. We love outside but we are also couch potato’s on my off days! All of my pets sleep in bed with me but Murphy is also crate trained and stays in his crate when I work and is able to be crated if necessary.

About: Loving, reliable, skilled care for puppies and seniors alike. I’m good with giving them their medicine like pills or liquid. I can do basic training too It something nice for me to do seem I love animals and love seeing different animals that can be unique or special. Plus I like to have something to do on the weekends I keep them in my room with me or let them run around alittle bit in the house. If they are tired I would let them sleep on my bed
Harahan pet parents share their Rover experiences
We are so fortunate to have been able to meet Natalie and have her watch our dog while out of town. From the very initial meet and greet, I knew this was going to be a great experience. She has kept in communication through the duration of her visits which is amazing for my peace of mind. She has made this such an easy transaction for North and myself. I will absolutely use her in the near future!
