I was a dog in a previous life!
My name is Kate and I used to be an emergency vet tech. I switched over to human patients and pretty much all the time miss interacting with other people's animals! I am available pretty much any time and I can dogsit at your place or mine, depending on what your needs are. I can handle "special needs" dogs, be they physical or emotional and can make sure your pet gets any needed medications. I have my own reliable transportation to assist with meeting your needs. I can help with kitties too! Why I love dog sitting I can not remember a time when I didn't love dogs. As a kid, I roamed my neighborhood and walked many of my neighbors' dogs every day. For a long time, most of my friends were people I had met through their dogs. I worked for awhile as a groomer and then worked as a vet tech for eight years before moving to human medicine. My experience administering medication: I am, even with difficult dogs who hate getting medicated. I have years of experience doing this as a vet tech.

I was so nervous about leaving my elderly, blind dog for a week as she had been quite sick recently. Knowing that Kate has been a veterinary technician was a great comfort because my pup gets several daily meds. I'm so glad I committed to taking a much-needed vacation for myself and entrusting her care to Kate. When I picked up my pup she was happy and healthy. I only wish I had received a few more updates/photos but I was never worried.

Schedule
We are super early risers and have outside play time and walks before the heat starts and again in the evening when it cools off.

We have a 7 foot fence thats buried 12 inches underground and double gated. We also have a double gate to the front door. All pets are fed separately and separated when we are not at home. We try to have them sleep in whatever arrangement theyre used to with you.

A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog 30-60 minutes? This is negotiable depending on my schedule and the needs or your dog(s). Extra house-sitting services I can bring in mail and take care of kitties or other small pets.
