I make sure the pet is comfortable in their environment and do not force them to interact with me. I take the time to let any pet warm up to me. I love taking pups for walks and giving all pets lots of attention.

I like to know the pet's typical routine - times of day they eat or go outside, if they get a walk, if they take meds. I also want to know a little about them: do they like strangers, do they get nervous when it rains, do they have accidents? The more information you provide, the better prepared I am to make sure your pet is well taken care of!

I love taking pups for walks and I will happily play with pups and cats with their toys. If a pet prefers to relax and just get attention, I'm happy to sit with them and love on them!

I am an avid animal lover who grew up with dogs & learned to love cats. I currently have one dog & 2 cats, and I have been pet sitting for about 4 years. I work part time with Jefferson SPCA and volunteer with Friends of Jefferson SPCA. I volunteered with a rescue group in Baton Rouge called CAAWS as a dog shift worker for 4 years while also volunteering as a photographer for Friends of the Animals and a foster for Cat Haven. I am very comfortable around all animals and have pet sat for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I am fine pet sitting extra large dogs but walking them is a little harder since I know they are stronger than me. Volunteering with the shelter has shown me the proper ways to approach dogs and cats and how to handle tense situations. I have no issues with any messes and I love watching puppies.
