About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My childhood cat lived to 22, and I grew up with Golden Retrievers, including helping care for a litter of puppies. I also worked as an assistant manager at a large pet daycare facility and now have two rescue dogs of my own. I’m very active and love walking, so I’m happy to give dogs plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention based on their needs. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work part-time in a flexible office role and can also work remotely, while I am building my real-estate career. That gives me the ability to plan my schedule around walks, drop-ins, feedings, playtime, and staying consistent with each pet’s routine. In my home, pets are treated like family. I have a fenced yard, a large back porch, a walkable neighborhood, and a park nearby for walks and playtime. My two rescue dogs are used to sharing the furniture, so visiting pets will have plenty of comfortable places to relax and feel at home. In a client’s home, I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, medication instructions, and any house rules—while keeping you updated with photos and messages. As a former college coach and admissions counselor, I have spent most of my career in trusted, responsibility-heavy roles, and I bring that same attentiveness and care to every pet.
“Just picked up my pups from staying with Alex for the weekend. They had a great weekend playing with Reese. Alex sent us pics of them and they were so relaxed and happy. They look forward to staying again!!!”

“Brittanie, Ryan and their family were absolutely amazing sitters for our Milo! He loved getting to play with their dogs and kids. They sent pictures throughout his stay and updates on him. We were really reassured. We can tell Milo would love to come back!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter with our pups!!!! Daily updates and pictures!!! Was wonderful in making us feel like our babies were in good hands!!!!”

“Aida was a great sitter for my pup. She was very communicative with me and very attentive towards him. I was able to have peace of mind while on vacation as I was updated with pics and activities throughout each day I was gone. I highly recommend Aida for any of your dog sitting needs.”

“Had a wonderful experience using Megan and Vincent! Would highly recommend their care for overnight pet sitting. They provided great updates, got lots of outdoor time and seemed to really enjoy their stay!”

“My lab Ruby had a wonderful time with Jacob and Megan. She was super excited that she would be able to play with other dogs and lounge on their deck. She was exhausted when she came home. I definitely recommend Jacob and Megan as dog sitters and would take Ruby back again!”

“Dear Carla and family thank you so much for the care you provided for our fur baby. We enjoyed seeing the pictures of her and with your dog Max, especially the picture of them going for a ride in the car-they looked so excited. It was comforting to receive your texts and pictures. Thank you”

“We had a wonderful experience with Lydia! She and her family took excellent care of our dog while we were away, kept us updated with messages and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We truly appreciated her reliability, kindness, and genuine care for our dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their dogs!”

“Ebony did a great job with our Rusty. She sent pictures and videos every day. When he had an upset belly and needed a diet modification, she had no problem making adjustments! Thanks, Ebony!”

“Theresa and Lyv were the absolute best watching our baby Misa for the week. Theresa sent so many pictures and updates throughout the week and I could tell Misa was having such a great time with them. She loved curling in bed with Lyv and being the diva that she is! It was really good to be able to relax while away knowing she was in good hands. Last minute, Misa had a skin flare up the weekend before we dropped her off and Theresa was able to medicate her and keep a watchful eye so she was all better by the time we picked her up. Can’t say enough good things about Theresa, will 100% use her again when we need a sitter!”

“Fantastic time was had by all! Brianna is a warm soul who knows dogs, detailed, and observant! I looked forward to her message updates and pictures of the pups while i was away on a trip.”

“I have left Yoda with Lingli on multiple occasions when I'm out of town. My experience with her has always been great! She takes very good care of him and he is always happy to see her :) She is also very diligent at keeping me updated with photos which I greatly appreciate! I highly recommend her :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
