House Sitting in Gunnison

About: I have worked at a dog boarding and grooming facility for over two years. I gained experience with boarding and grooming. I also own 2 dogs and a rabbit. I attend Western University. I am a full time student, but have lots of free time and would love to spend that time around animals. I have always loved animals and take the best care of them. While working with dogs I have learned how to focus on their body language and know if they are comfortable or not. I love helping pets stay happy and healthy in the comfort of their own homes. During home visits, I make sure your pets are fed, have fresh water, and get plenty of playtime and attention. For dog walks, I give your pup safe, fun walks that match their energy level whether that’s a quick potty break or a longer stroll to burn off energy. I always follow your instructions to keep your pets on their normal routine, and I treat every pet like my own.

About: I have grown up around pets and livestock my whole life. I have always loved every pet and animal that has come across my path. I even am in school to become a veterinarian! I have taken care of other people’s pets, and always treat them as my own. Willing to give references if ever needed. I have my own pets; and growing up I had the opportunity to raise and care for many different animals and pets. Making my schedule work around the animals is something I completely understand. I have three classes and two labs at WCU. I am done by noon most days, with labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2. This leaves mornings and evenings as well as mid-day completely open. I have a fenced yard and take my own, dog-friendly dogs, on two walks a day which vary in location. I usually try to play fetch at least one of the times we go out, and the walks always last from 30-60 minutes.

About: I’ve been watching animals for about 10 years. I have experience in almost everything from walking dogs, animal sitting in my home and others, play dates, grooming and anything else you can think of! I’m a lover of all animals of all shapes and sizes and enjoy spending time with new pet friends ! I am currently working full time at a local doctors office but have an hour lunch break as well as time in the morning before and after work to check on and care for any animals! I am off on weekends which is when I spend most of my time with pets that I am watching. I have a fenced yard with high enough fencing to avoid any lost animals. While in a clients home, I always keep an eye on the pet when they are outside or wondering.

About: I have taken care of neighborhood pets for years and house sat. I have had my cat for 11 years and my dog for 8. I have open availability and will be able to take care of pets at any time. I’m available for house sitting, potty breaks and walks. I treat my pets and others like family, I think at least one walk a day is very important for dogs and cats also deserve attention throughout the day.

About: My partner and I have been working with animals since we were kids. Emily grew up on a farm and has raised all sorts of animals, including showing horses. My father is a veterinarian, so I grew up around animals and worked in the kennels while I was in school. We're comfortable dealing with various behavior quirks, giving medications, and we've always got vet advice on call if an emergency were to arrive. My partner and I work at the hospital, but we have slightly different shifts. There are usually only 1-2 days per week where one of us isn't home. When we are both at work, our shifts are staggered enough that we can get home every 4 hours, in addition to morning and evening walks. We are both extremely active people, so our dogs get multiple hours of walking/hiking every day when we're not working. We have an acre of land with two separate fenced-in yard sections, which gives us the ability to divide dogs of various sizes, or those who may be timid/hesitant around others. The lower level of our house has a separate entrance, so there's ample indoor space as well when the weather is too hot/cold to be outside. Pets will be indoors any time that we are not at the house to directly supervise. We walk our dogs multiple times per day, and have trail system access 50m from the house, so we're not reliant on just leaving dogs in the yard for outdoor stimulation.

About: I’ve had dogs and/ or cats my whole life. I love caring for puppies/kittens all the way to seniors. I can give them the care they require. I love our furry pets! I am Gunnison homeowner for over 40 years and now retired. I have the time, energy, and desire to accompany your pet anytime. I am able to care for your pet in the way they are accustomed at your home. If staying with me, I have a fenced yard and a large home and a small Aussie named “Banjo” for them to play with. We can go for walks, to the doggie park, or just stay home.

About: I absolutely love spending time and playing with dogs. I have 2 dogs at home in Chicago and I adore them. We go on walks, play catch/fetch outside, go on hikes, and spend lots of time outside. Since I have moved here I am missing so much dog time and would absolutely love the opportunity to meet and spoil your dog in the best ways. I have dog sat and house sat for many people who continue to ask me to dog and house sit when they need it. I am currently employed by a wilderness therapy program where my schedule is 8 days on 6 days off and would love nothing more than to spend time with dogs on my off shift! No matter the age, I am happy to dog sit! I have a 14 year old dog and a 2 year old dog at home, so I have experience with both older dogs and younger dogs.

About: It doesn’t matter if it’s dogs, chickens, horses, or kids, all feel comfortable and drawn to me. As a parent and animal lover and experienced caregiver, I bring my maturity, reliability, and professionalism to every client and am adaptable to special needs and circumstances. I am fortunate to spend much of my days outdoors and happily travel between Paonia, Crested Butte and Gunnison. Animals in my care receive dedicated attention and ample exercise. In my home, I will offer multiple walks, hikes, or runs per day. While in your home, I can accommodate crate training, walks, and hikes- or any special needs or care instructions.

About: I have taken care of pets since I moved back to CO and love to get back to helping out families and their pets too. I am currently working part time. My job allows breaks to run home if need be and if not dogs are welcome at my work place. I don’t have a yard but love walking or going to the park. I am willing to stay at a client’s home as well too.

About: Hiking, walking, training, playing, or cuddling - no problem! I work remotely so when your pup is under my care, they're with me 100% of the time! No errands or work to juggle. Plus, my pups are awesome playmates! I work remotely so my pet care is simple, I'm with the pups all day and all night. Potty times are frequent, daily walkabouts are necessary, playtime is alternated with my professional computer time, meal time is morning and night, and bed time is sunset. I am able to make myself at home anywhere, very easily. So my home routine is the same wherever I go. Of course, client preferences may alter this routine.

About: I have a lot of energy and am willing to take your dog on long or short hikes/walks; whatever is desired. I love dogs and have never had the opportunity to have my own, so this opportunity satisfies my need. I'm new to Rover and therefore do not have any reviews on the site, however I have cared for pets of clients whose homes I've cared for over the last 25 years. I am semi retired (working mostly in the winter) and therefore can be very flexible. My significant other and I have lived in the Roaring Fork valley for over 40 years, know the environment, and are happy to take care of your pet in the environment he's most comfortable in while giving you, the pet owner time to get away! As I have taken care of various properties in the past, I have tremendous attention to detail and will care for your home like my own.
