About: I have been taking care of my dogs and neighbors dogs since I was 10. We got 2 puppies when I was 8 (buttercup and Ellie) and I would get left alone with them and took them on walks all the time. When I turned 10 I started taking care of neighbors dogs every so often and just love being around dogs. I grew up with a Rhodesian Ridge dog that was over 120 lbs so I have had the best of both big and little dogs. I guarantee to give the same attention and care to your dogs as I do with mine! I work as a cashier at Home Depot and have shifts at different times of the day but I am very flexible and have a lot of free time throughout the week. I will make sure I will handle the dogs with care and be very respectful of your home. I have some pretty energetic dogs my self who get a little wild on walks with other dogs around so I have gotten good at handling situations like that. I understand how important pets are and want to give the best care and respect to you and them.
“Allie is a great sitter, she took such great care of our cat Ana when we were traveling and I gave me such peace of mind to know she was checking in. She is very responsive and always sent me photos and updates of her visits which I really appreciated! Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: College athlete that works part time, allowing me to give ample time, exercise, and attention to all your pets needs, in a home close to a network of trails and parks. I work part time a quarter mile away from my home, which allows me to make sure your dog gets the attention it needs even on workdays I have a yard and nearby parks and trails for your dog to enjoy. I can provide crate time to your dog upon request, if not they will be watched and able to relax on furniture
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, I have cared for our dogs as they have become seniors. I have cared for dogs with high anxiety and attachment. I personally have one pet that is ready to be your dogs best friend. Each dog is a gift and I love all of them. I work full time but I’m available from Friday evening till Sunday night. I am also available after 6pm on week days depending on your needs. My first priority is always safety, I keep my home picked up and pet proofed at all times. I really enjoy learning each dog and being able to walk and play with them how they feel comfortable.
“Haleigh did a wonderful job caring for our Odin. He is an older pup and she helps make sure he is comfortable if I have to work long shifts...taking him outside, playing ball, so on. Definitely contacting again when available. Thanks!”
“First time using this service. Kaitlyn was very patient and wonderful to explain the app to me. She was prompt and friendly. She’s a natural animal lover and it shows! Will definitely use again.”

About: I've taken care of multiple different dog breeds my entire life. Ranging from small breeds to larger ones. I have also pet sit numerous times for cats. I currently have a senior dog that I have cared for the past 13 years! I work from home during the week. I am available throughout the day for pet care. I can also let animals out or walk during the day. I have pet sit for various different animal breeds in the past. I also have house sat for families in the past. I grew up raising livestock as well.
About: I grew up with two weimaraners and my family fostered dogs for years (from puppies to senior pups). Now we’ve got a golden doodle named Sunny who just turned 9. Dogs are amazing to work with and if I can make money while doing something fun I think that’s a pretty great deal. I’m actively on a job hunt (I have student teaching in the Fall so just trying to find something for the summer) - that being said if I agree to help out with an animal I will prioritize my agreements! I’ve done babysitting, house sitting and dog sitting for friends and family. My parents raised me keeping a clean house so that’s my default.
“Layla was really great to work with - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for help with their fur babies, and we will definitely use her again! She was good with communicating, sending pictures and updates, and giving one of our cats their medicine. Overall great experience!”

About: I have been dog walking and pet sitting overnight for many years. I have a golden retriever and we love making new pet friends with all of our clients. Snuggles always included! We can go on several on-leash walks daily and work on leash walking skills. I work part time so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets. I am available daily walks and check-ins, as well as for overnight pet sitting any night of the week! You just tell me how you like your pets to be cared for and I’ll do exactly that! Hopefully they like golden retrievers so I can bring my dog along for more play time!
About: I've had pets for my whole life since i was 8 years old so I have 14 years of experience. I've had cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, hamsters, frogs, and even fish. Taking care of their needs being punctual on feeding times, making sure they get their daily walks, and bath when they play in the mud! I've taken care of senior dogs that need special care such as giving them their medication as directed by the pet owner. I work remotely, so I can be there to make sure your pets needs are met. I love taking care of all kinds of pets. I care for the pets solely directed by the pet owner. I make sure everything is precise, and from the notes the pet owner left. I also ask questions on how to care for the pets if the information was not provided, so I make sure the pet and the pet owners are comfortable and build that level of trust.
About: I have taken care of pets since I moved back to CO and love to get back to helping out families and their pets too. I am currently working part time. My job allows breaks to run home if need be and if not dogs are welcome at my work place. I don’t have a yard but love walking or going to the park. I am willing to stay at a client’s home as well too.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
