“It was so easy to communicate with Amanda - quick responses to my messages and we are all set for a meet and greet, then she looked after Daisy today. She has a really cute ground level apartment right next to the Ballston Commons, and it has access to a fenced in shared yard for bathroom breaks. Daisy takes a moment to warm up to new people, but she quickly befriended Amanda and it took some effort when I came to pick her up to get Daisy to leave her curled up spot on the couch next to Amanda. ❣️. About: I’m a proud dog dad to Rambo, my Golden Retriever, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my everyday life. Raising him has given me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, basic training, leash manners, and all the attention and care that comes with being a dog owner. I’m also flexible and can plan around your pet’s routine and needs. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and the owner’s instructions, whether that means walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, or just keeping them company. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. In my home, pets get plenty of attention, walks, and playtime, and I always make sure they’re introduced safely and comfortably to Rambo.

Our puppy was incredibly shy but just a couple days with Shayla and she really came out of her shell. Shayla has such a natural gift for caring for animals and her house has an awesome yard and secure setup. We let her know about our concerns about our older dog being an escape artist and she walked us through the various measures in place to ensure his safety including she has even worked on threshold manners when him so he doesn’t walk through the door until he’s told it’s okay to. She also knows just how to manage my puppy’s anxiety and doesn’t see her anxiety as a hassle but is instead so empathetic and dedicated to building her confidence. She introduced our dogs to her dogs over time and in a way that didn’t stress my puppy out. She takes them on lots of walks and they come back from day care happy and tired!”

Although I no longer have a dog of my own, I miss having them around and would love the opportunity to care for yours. About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years- I am great with all breeds and have a knack for training puppies (and older dogs too!) I am working from home and live right along a beautiful pet friendly park! I go on walks and runs throughout the day so love taking pups out with me! I ensure dogs are well taken care of and have experience administering different medications to dogs (including allergy injections) and following dietary restrictions or other needs. I show a lot of love and affection to pups and will keep them occupied and hopefully burn some of their energy playing and going on walks/runs!
