About: I am 24 and have grown up with dogs my whole life. I self train my own dogs.. give baths, trim nails, not only for my own dogs but my friends and family as well. I own big dogs as well as 2 English bulldogs so I am familiar with working with large dogs and dogs that need extra care as well. I’m currently on leave so open to all different days and times. If I am needed last minute I will try my best to accommodate. I have a big yard and friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I have multiple crates in house as well as dog bed and toys if needed.

About: I've been a dog owner most of my life and also have two grand dogs and a grand cat who I care for often. I'm experienced with any age, any sized dog and regularly walk two dogs at a time. When can we meet? I'm looking for a way to meet more dogs when away from my grand dogs and want to walk / and exercise more while providing a trustworthy option for your pet(s)! Inclement weather doesn't matter if your pet doesn't mind it. I'm already an experienced and trusted house sitter, plus dog and cat sitter (and can care for houseplants & yards too). “This was our first time using Rover. We booked Steven & Linda pretty much last minute since my older cat was diagnosed with diabetes just a week prior to our vacation. He needed to be fed diabetic food and given insulin shots 2x per day so we were in a crunch to figure out how to have this handled before we leave town. Steven & Linda made us feel really comfortable leaving our cat in their care and we knew he was being taken care of per the doctor’s instructions. About: I have lots of experience with cats and dogs, big or small. I’m comfortable with dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, reptiles, and fish! I have experience giving injections and oral meds and I’m super comfortable with doing so. Also, I have experience watching pets post-op, as well as puppies and dogs with anxiety. Pet care can easily fit into my routine as I have 8 hour school days but afternoons free to spend with your pets! I also have some days completely off if you need 24/7 companionship for you pet. Please reach out if your pet is okay alone 8 hours at a time. I can fit you into my schedule as your family needs. I can crate your dog, or let them roam and hang out with me if they are house trained! I am used to having a dog around the house and I hope to make a good companion for them while you’re away! Don’t worry, if they normally sleep in the bed with you, I love dog cuddles!

About: I’ve taken care of pets since middle school. First, myself had many different types of pets before. Like cat, dog, ferret, Chinchilla… second, because I’m not afraid of any size or type of animal, so my friends will always ask me to take care of their pets when they’re out for vacation. I’m currently working as a part time job, because I’m a rising senior at high school so I can’t put all my time on this. But I’m willing to do as much as I can, like 3 or 4 days a week is not a problem. Because I just enjoy the happiness animals bring to me. I don’t really have a pets in my house right now, but I used to. The closest time is when I was living in my sister’s house for a year, she has a big size dog, that’s a not very independent baby. And my sister is always busy so I basically fully take care of him every day. Apart from the most basic requirements such as eating, drinking and going out for a walk, I can also handle any emergency that arises very easily. For instance, sudden vomiting or the dog's sudden dash when it is uneasy or scared during a walk.

About: Ever since I was a kid, I've had love and fascination for all kinds of animals - including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, crickets, even fishflies! I understood from a young age that each living creature has a place and a purpose on this planet, and that it's our job as humans to respect them. My experience with pet care first began with a family goldfish, and eventually a couple of parakeets. I quickly learned that there are responsibilities that come with not only physically taking care of a pet, but tending to their emotional needs as well. In 2018, I started taking care of my loved ones' pets when they were out of town or just needed a little extra help - ranging from my brother's dog to my best friend's cat. I have devoted my attention in these situations to ensuring that the pets are well fed and hydrated, they've received appropriate stimuli from either walks or playtime, and that they've received extra snuggles (if they want them!) I understand that it's also important to take care of the pets' owners as well, so I've prided myself in being an excellent communicator. In 2021, a sweet little peanut came into my life - a smushy-faced, Shar Pei mutt named Mischief. He has lived up to his name, but in a good way! We have spent the past four years munching on carrots (his favorite), going on long walks at the park, and burying ourselves under the covers on rainy days. He has made me a very happy dog mom, and from the very beginning we have had a special emotional bond that still amazes me to this day. In short, I have had quite a few years of experience with taking care of pets, and I have proven myself to be communicative and reliable. I have a big heart for all creatures, big & small, and I have more than enough love to go around! I work remotely and I live in a walkable area, so whether I am needed for a quick walk/drop-in while the pet owner is out of the house or at work, I have ample time throughout the day to take care of the pet. For any new pet, I understand that a bit of acclimation is necessary to gain the pet's trust. If the owner would like, I can meet the pet ahead of time to determine its temperance level and I'll respect any special needs that the pet has. I will cater my behavior and energy level towards the pet so that it doesn't become overwhelmed. I also have the strength and endurance to take pets for long walks and maintain good leash control. Lastly, I know a number of First Aid / CPR tactics for both dogs & cats alike, and I have the aptitude to learn anything else that is necessary for the pet's care.

About: I’ve done drop-in visits for a year now. Family and friends know they can trust that their pets are well taken care of throughout the day. My favorite part of drop-ins is quality play time and lots of petting!! I’m currently working from home so I have lots of flexibility for drop-ins during business hours. I’m also usually free evenings and weekends as needed I like to build trust and make pets feel as comfortable s as possible. I like to gift treats and pets to build a bond

About: I've had the pleasure of looking after small to large dogs, each with their own lovely personality - I'd love the opportunity to meet your pup! I offer walks, photo pupdates, vet visits, and meds administered (if needed). I like to keep open communication as that is what I want when my animals are looked after. I work part time so have quite a lot of availability to be with your pup when you need. I can offer morning and evening walks or drop in for a visit! I like to know the lay of the land and receive instructions as to best care for your pup. I am able to crate dogs, adhere to feeding schedules, and offer lots of play!

About: When I was 18, I spent 6 months learning how to train police dogs for narcotic/explosive detection & bite work and civilian dogs for basic obedience & behavioral problems. After that, I moved back to Grosse Pointe and started training civilian dogs for basic obedience & behavioral problems on a referral basis. I now have two children and, while I still take on training clients, dog training usually takes place nights and weekends. While exploring ways I could supplement my income while my kids are at school, I settled on the idea of dog walking during the day. I used to waitress as well as dog train and the constant walking helped me keep in shape, so the idea of getting back to that as well as spending time with dogs and working hours that still allowed me to maintain my commitments as a mom and volunteer at the schools is very appealing. I love meeting new dogs and people and would love the opportunity to walk and care for your best friend! My experience makes me the perfect choice for anyone who is looking for someone reliable with a dog or if you have a pet you're concerned about a stranger being able to handle. Big or small, I can promise that your K-9 will be in trusted and experienced hands with me. Both of my kids are in school. My elementary student is in person and my middle school student homeschools. I've spent the last year increasing my volunteer work to help my family adjust to me being available less during the day, so they are all ready to work around mom being gone a few hours during the school day. My middle school student has transitioned to working at the library when I need to be away for a few hours while his brother is at school. 2025 is marking my goal of stepping back from volunteer work and into a job role. I would love to spend those hours with your pets, either going for walks, playing, or caring for them in your home. I am very responsible about making sure my home, pets, and kids are secure. This makes me to perfect person to care for your pets in your home. I will always make sure your yard is secure prior to letting out a dog. I will follow all of your instructions for care and reach out with any questions or concerns as soon as they come up. I will make sure all harnesses, collars, and/or leashes are reliable prior to taking your dog outside of the home. I will double check all locks prior to leaving if I am caring for a pet while the owner is away. I'm also big on pictures and will be happy to send along plenty of reassure pictures via text while your pet and/or home are in my care.
