“Amanda is absolutely conscientious and dependable, but what REALLY shines is the calm demeanor and gentle nature that won over our old but still a bit rambunctious Mac immediately. Dogs always seem to know who to trust and he wasn't wrong. Sad to see her go, but we'll most definitely hire her again!”
“Julia went above and beyond to accommodate our very socially anxious dog. He’s always extremely excited to see her again, she stayed with him to calm him down when he was howling out of loneliness, she always replies quickly, and she’ll even bake cookies for the owners. Best experience we’ve had on this app”

About: I am a professional dog walker and pet sitter with over twenty years of hands on experience caring for animals. I recently moved to Suffolk County, New York from the Upper West Side of Manhattan after closing my small business in the city. Long Island has been an amazing change for us and we truly love being here. Animals have always been a huge part of my life and have shaped my career for more than two decades. Now that I work from home, I find myself really missing the daily connection with pets. I am certified in pet grooming and have experience in animal behavior as well as light training. I love teaching dogs fun tricks like giving kisses and building trust with them through patience and consistency. I also have experience working as a veterinary technician and receptionist, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health and communication with pet owners. I still maintain several wonderful clients from my time in Manhattan and I am excited to grow my services here in Suffolk County and meet new dogs and their families. About This Sitter Animals have always been my passion for as long as I can remember. I never imagined how far this path would take me, but I truly cannot picture myself doing anything else. Caring for pets feels natural and rewarding to me, and I am grateful every day to be part of their lives. Why I Love Dog Sitting I have loved dogs since the first time I was able to have one of my own. The more I learn about different breeds and personalities, the more my appreciation grows. Every dog has its own temperament and charm, and getting to know them is one of my favorite parts of this work. Meet My Pets In loving memory of Miah. Jenna is currently my active little companion. They are two beautiful Chihuahuas who have filled my life with joy and laughter. About My Home We live in a small four bedroom house in Coram with a backyard that offers space for fresh air and outdoor time. My Experience Administering Medication Yes. I am comfortable giving oral medications only. Pet care fits into my routine very naturally because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available most weekdays and weekends, especially afternoons and evenings. Since I am home often, I can provide consistent attention, walks, feeding schedules, and check ins without rushing. I live in a small four bedroom home in Coram with a backyard where dogs can safely get fresh air and supervised outdoor time. Inside the home, pets are never left unattended for long periods and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I have over twenty years of experience working with animals, including veterinary office experience, so I am very observant of behavior changes and health concerns. I also have one senior toothless small house dog who is gentle and used to other pets, but I always introduce animals slowly and respectfully based on their comfort level.
About: I love dogs! I am a true dog lover who has cared for dogs my whole life. I am a teacher that has always had a passion for dogs, and have a great deal of experience dog-sitting for neighbors and friends. I currently have two adopted pups. I have an Australian cattle dog/American Staffordshire mix, my beautiful 9 year old girl, named Riley. My older, handsome boy is a Chow/Lab mix named Bane. He is 13 years old. I've had Riley since she was a few weeks old, but I took Bane in when he was about 4 or 5. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and dog sitting. I am a reliable, punctual, and professional dog lover that will treat your four-legged family members as though they were part of my pack! “Daniela was so sweet and gentle with my dog who was a little bit timid at first!! We are so glad we chose her and trusted her with our fur baby! We will absolutely be using her again she is amazing”

“Unfortunately with my job they’ve been making me work 12 hour days… I am so thankful for the help that you have given me! Lola is my baby and has been by my side for nine years! Thank you for making this process so much easier!!!”

“Jack said he very much enjoyed their company!😁 It is a big relief to have trustworthy people to take care of my boy. I will definitely be using their services again.”

About: I don't just walk dogs and drop in to take care of a cat. I take the time to play with them and keep them company so they don't feel alone while the person they love the most is not around for the brief moment. I am an independent Contractor who works with Autistic Adults. I create my own work schedule so I am flexible and available to take care of your fur baby. When coming into your home, I will slowly open the door but not all the way. I wouldn't want to chance a fur baby running away. If it's a dog, I will wait by the front door and allow your dog to approach and sniff me. We can take as long as needed so your puppy feels ok with me. If it's a cat, I will go searching and slowly approach with my hand extended so they can sniff me and see Im harmless. I am all about making my time with them as least stressful as possible. And of course if they want to play a bit, I'm all for it.😁
“Madison is great! Great communication, followed all the steps needed to properly walk Enzo and went above and beyond to ensure my dog was taken care of. I would highly recommend Madison and would definitely use her services again in the future.”

Gordon Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Gerri is such a warmhearted and caring person - no wonder our pup warmed up to her right away! She was also kind enough to meet our pup before she came the next day for our booking. She walked our two pups and gave us very detailed photos and notes throughout the day about their walks. We had a great experience with Gerri!

Julia has been great to work with and an immense help with Kevin. She arrives on time (or within a few minutes of the scheduled time) and promptly gets Kevin out on his hour long walk. She often stays a little past the hour and makes sure Kevin is all good to go again in his crate. Definitely would recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker.
