“I had a last minute emergency of not having someone to watch kylo while i went away. after constant searching my boyfriend recommended i try Rover and i found Jennifer . She was accommodating, sweet and attentive from the first meet. i was a bit nervous as a first time user for the app and i’ve never had anyone who wasn’t family take care of kylo, but she’s trustworthy and always sent updates on Kylo and how he was doing and he was settling in very easily. her environment was something i loved for kylo to be around, she was always around with kylo and gave him constant attention, cuddles, and her dog Sadie, was just as energetic as him. i’m glad he wasn’t alone and it definitely eased my mind to know he was in a safe environment surrounded by people and other pet friends. my encounter with her was so smooth and last minute but i’m glad she took Kylo in and treated him like her own. if you’re unsure of leaving your pet with someone i 100000% recommend her ! i know kylo had a blast with her and i would definitely love for her to watch kylo for future because of how happy he was and i was knowing he was cared for”

I've always loved animals and grew up surrounded by pets. My parents bred Pomeranians, and as a teen I had a Sheltie who I absolutely adored. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’, coworkers’, and even my boss’s pets while they were away, making sure they stayed on schedule with meals, exercise, and attention. Last year, I took a sabbatical during which I traveled the country largely through pet sitting. During that experience, I cared for a wide variety of pets—from young, energetic pets to seniors, and from energetic Border Collies and Newfiedoodles to independent outdoor Calico cats and affectionate indoor Russian Blues. I loved and cared for each of them as if they were my own. I’m attentive to established routines and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. I understand how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I’m always happy to provide regular updates and photos. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, well cared for, and loved while you’re away. Since I work full time (8:00-4:30), my availability is primarily evenings (5pm onwards) and weekends for dog walks and drop-ins. I can also assist with morning cat feedings or drop-ins (6-7:30am) on my way to work when timing and location allow. I’m open to weekend house sitting with advance notice and aim to provide consistent, reliable care for every pet. I genuinely enjoy forming bonds with animals and creating a calm, consistent environment for them while their owners are away. To me, this means closely following their established feeding, exercise, and play routines while also giving them plenty of care and affection. “We had to get work done to our house and or dog couldn't be home during the day. I looked at other options and they just didn't fit what we needed. We'd have to take off some hours from work as the construction was done on our house. I hopped onto Rover and quickly found Ashley. The rates were affordable and her profile really stood out as someone who cares about pets. We consider our dog, Amber, one of our children. Ashley was amazing with pick up and drop off. Always on time which was great because we wanted Amber to be picked up before the workers got there. When we got home from work Ashley would drop her off. My dog gets anxious easily and that, in turn, made me anxious about her being with someone she didn't know in a place she had never been. But Ashley was reassuring and great with her, even in the car ride which Amber usually despises. Ashley sent pictures and updates of Amber relaxing and being happy each day. Highly recommended. If we need a dog sitter she will be the first one to call.”

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. I'm always super careful about keeping doors locked and making sure no quick cats or dogs try to slip out past me. I'll follow whatever instructions you leave for food, walks, or medicine, and I’ll send you updates and pictures so you know everything is good.

About: For the majority of my life, I have always had a dog in my possession! So I have always known how far my love and care for animals goes. I have watched my family’s dogs when they went on vacation and I’ve also walked a couple of dogs in my neighborhood. Now, my love and care for animals goes beyond measure.
