About: I've grown up with dogs all my life. My Eagle Scout project was to help create storage and kits for a dog rescue agency and since then I've helped foster 5 dogs and doggysat for numerous friends and family. I give dogs my time and attention and try to pay attention to their preferences and habits. I am a college student so I have flexibility to care for animals during summer and winter breaks. I love being able to chill on the couch next to dogs so they feel cared for and loved. I have a fenced yard and two very sweet dogs who have been mentors to our foster dogs. We have toybaskets everywhere and a regular routine for feeding and care.

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. About: I've taken care of multiple dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I watch dogs for my family and friends when they go away. I walk, feed, and play with their pets. I work part time, three days a week until 4 pm. I can walk dogs after work or any other day. I am available on the weekends. I currently do not accept boarding requests. When I am caring for dogs in their home I give them lots of love and attention and play. I take them on walks as needed or determined by their physical abilities. I am attentive and here to give your pet companionship!

Since I work from home they will not be alone, which is very nice to know.
