House Sitting in Gilroy

About: Over 20 years as a dog owner. I'm semi-retired. I've been watching friends' and friends of friends' pets for years. I've been the only house/dog sitter for a pair of Dalmatians for the last 5 years. I've handled puppies that are still working on becoming housebroken as well as senior dogs that need regular medication and extra care. I do in-home tech support/ IT work. When a customer's animals have warmed up to me, I've been asked if I did pet sitting as well. It feels good when the pet picks you. My working schedule is very flexible, I'm usuably able to adjust it to make sure I'm available to see to your pet's needs. If I commit to caring for your critters they will be my scheduling priority. I don't have pets in my own home. When house/pet sitting, besides feeding, walking and picking up after the pets I'm capable of handling household issues that might come up.

About: I can teach your fur baby some tricks like sit, give paw, lay down, stay, gentle, jump, fetching, touch, look, feed them and play with them ! I’m currently working part time so I would have time to care for your fur baby on days I don’t work which are some weekdays ! I have a big fenced yard and a 2 year old pitbull female shes super friendly and playful. I also have have a 1 year old male pitbull they would make great company to your fur baby ! I can teach your dog a few tricks too !

About: I have been taking care of pets for over six years. I have cared for fish, cats, and dogs. I have a big dog myself so large dogs do not scare me. I am great with animals and am more than willing to do house sitting, day time check ins, walking, bathing, etc.! I am about to graduate from school so I will be home all the time and will be able to stop by for house visits or to hang out with pets all day. Though for things like walking dogs would prefer to do that in the morning in order to beat the heat! I have a large fenced in yard with one dog to keep others company. My dog is crate trained and is non aggressive. In the house there is no chemicals or other harmful substances that pets could access. Additionally most cabinets and such are baby proofed so cats or other small pets would not be able to get in or trapped.

They sent regular photos/updates, were very communicative, and the house was clean and cared for when we got home. Our spicy cat even warmed up to them eventually! It was a great comfort to know that our pup was getting his walks and was able to stick to his regular routine while we were away. We will defiantly use Sara again.”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life, but I especially love dogs and cats. I help care for my two grand pups, a golden retriever, and a German shepherd mix. You can often find me walking around Gilroy with one or the other. I also have 4 cats, all rescued from the wild! I volunteer with feeding multiple feral cat colonies in town also. You’d think I have no time to care for other pets, but I’m RETIRED! 😬 I love it! And I’d love to help you with your pets while you work or just need a break! I’d love to love them! 🥰 I’m retired so I’m very flexible. The only times I am not available are Wednesday mornings until about 11, and Sundays until after 1:00 pm. I offer to come to your home to provide whatever care is needed, from walks and yard play, to feedings and kitty snuggles. Just let me know what is needed!

She stayed overnight each evening and gave us periodic updates with photos of them playing together in our backyard. Our dog hit it off right away with Angelene and we could tell immediately that they were both very comfortable with each other. Anglene took exceptional care of our dog and our home. About: I’ve taken care of different breeds and types of dogs, including catahoula leopard dogs, golden retrievers, labs, yorkies, and hounds, over the past couple of years. The dogs I’ve taken care of range from the ages of 3 months to 13 years. I have also taken care of pups after being neutered, which required extra attention to incision site as well as giving daily medications. I’m currently working full time in San Jose, but am completely available weekends. I also am available early mornings and late evenings. I have in the past worked from home to stay with pups for multiple days in a row. The dogs I have cared for have always been in the client’s home, which have been both indoor and outdoor dogs. I ensure to stay on schedule for the dogs to ensure they are comfortable while their family is away.

“Abby saved Arty’s life while she was sitting. He became very seriously ill the second day I was gone. I was on a boat in glacier bay Alaska and could not be reached for 2 days. I had not left a letter authorizing payment to his vets (my bad) and when she called, they refused. So she had the good sense to show up at their door with him in their arms after calling everyone who I listed as support and trying on her own to revive him. (He is diabetic). He had been in ICU for 2 days by the time I got all her messages. The waters parted and I was able to get home the same day. In the meantime, she visited him in ICU and gave him love and encouragement. It turned out that he had a ruptured gall bladder and they removed it along with cleaning out all the granular black debris from his abdominal cavity. He has almost recovered completely now, only one week later. I know he would not be alive if it wasn’t for Abby. Grateful is an understatement! Abby is all that a pet owner could want to look after their beloved fur baby.”
