Trisha did a great job caring for our 3 kitties for a week. She left detailed notes on all the things she did, took our packages inside, and communicated clearly if there were any issues within our home. We will definitely be booking with her again!

About: I have been taking care of pets for over six years. I have cared for fish, cats, and dogs. I have a big dog myself so large dogs do not scare me. I am great with animals and am more than willing to do house sitting, day time check ins, walking, bathing, etc.! I am about to graduate from school so I will be home all the time and will be able to stop by for house visits or to hang out with pets all day. Though for things like walking dogs would prefer to do that in the morning in order to beat the heat! I have a large fenced in yard with one dog to keep others company. My dog is crate trained and is non aggressive. In the house there is no chemicals or other harmful substances that pets could access. Additionally most cabinets and such are baby proofed so cats or other small pets would not be able to get in or trapped.

About: I was raised with all types of dogs around me including Labradors, chihuahuas, pit bulls, and terriers. I dog sit for a few family friends that trust me to care for their pets while they are out of town. I am currently flexible in my day to day schedule so I am available most of the week. I am open to do walks, drop ins, or house sit if needed. While I don’t have my own place to keep your dog, I am more than willing to care of your dog at your home. I have reliable references who have let me stay at their homes weeks-months at a time to care for their pets. While staying at your home or just checking up on your pets, I also take the trash out as well as bring in any mail/packages when needed while you’re away.

We had such a great experience with Deborah! From the start, it was clear she really gets German Shepherds—and Maple absolutely loved her. You can tell from the photos that Maple was happy, well cared for, and had clearly been running around getting all her wiggles out. It’s wonderful to find someone who connects so naturally with our baby girl. So grateful to have found Deborah and already looking forward to our next visit!

About: Over 20 years as a dog owner. I'm semi-retired. I've been watching friends' and friends of friends' pets for years. I've been the only house/dog sitter for a pair of Dalmatians for the last 5 years. I've handled puppies that are still working on becoming housebroken as well as senior dogs that need regular medication and extra care. I do in-home tech support/ IT work. When a customer's animals have warmed up to me, I've been asked if I did pet sitting as well. It feels good when the pet picks you. My working schedule is very flexible, I'm usuably able to adjust it to make sure I'm available to see to your pet's needs. If I commit to caring for your critters they will be my scheduling priority. I don't have pets in my own home. When house/pet sitting, besides feeding, walking and picking up after the pets I'm capable of handling household issues that might come up.

About: Hi there! I’m Yolanda, a dedicated and loving pet sitter with a passion for giving your furry family members the same care and comfort they get at home. I know how much your pets mean to you — because they mean just as much to me! ✨ Why You’ll Love Leaving Your Pet With Me: • 🏡 Home Away From Home: Whether it’s cuddles on the couch, long walks, or playtime in the yard, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and loved every moment you’re away. • 🕒 Reliable & Flexible: I take pride in my punctuality and excellent communication. Updates and adorable photos? You’ll get them daily! • 🐶 All Pets Welcome: From energetic puppies to senior sweethearts needing meds, I’m experienced with pets of all ages and personalities. • 💚 Safety First: I treat every pet like my own — lots of love, but also the highest attention to safety, routine, and your instructions. ✨ A Little About Me: Animals have been a huge part of my life for 35+ years. I grew up with dog’s, cat’s and cows, and I’ve cared for everything from shy rescue pups to playful kittens and even senior dogs with special needs. Morning starts with feeding time and a quick check to make sure they’re healthy and comfortable. If I have a dog, there’s that refreshing morning walk — a chance for both of us to stretch our legs and breathe in the day ahead. If it’s a cat, maybe it’s a playful moment or just sharing a quiet breakfast together while they curl up nearby. I take pet care seriously and always treat animals with the same love and attention I’d want for my own. In my daily routine, I make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. I stick to feeding schedules, provide plenty of fresh water, and keep their living areas clean and tidy.

I have the most experience with cats, dogs, birds and fish. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we are the proud parents of five lovely girls (two are grown up and starting lives of their own) two amazing labradoodles and two sweet kitty cats who we fostered from our local animal shelter. We have a large family with lots of love to share and a large, secure fenced yard for furry friends to play in, plus a devoted indoor cat area where cats can sit back, relax, and enjoy freedom in a safe environment. Dogs have the freedom to go in and out at their leisure, and I also have a private area for dogs who don’t want to be around other dogs. I am interested in expanding my pet sitting clientele and I hope you will consider me for your pet care needs! Please feel free to ask me anything- I look forward to meeting you! I run my own business from home, leaving me plenty of time and availability to offer a loving and safe environment to furry friends who can’t be left alone. About: Hello! My name is Sarah, and I’m a recent graduate from Cal Poly SLO with a lifelong love for animals, big and small. I have experience caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors, and I truly enjoy getting to know the personalities of each pet I meet. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I do care for a small aquarium with zebrafish and a snail—and Rover gives me the wonderful opportunity to spend time with new furry friends. I'm comfortable with walks of all lengths, and have experience with both high and low energy dogs. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities. I’m also flexible with cost and cancellations, and I pride myself on being a quick, reliable communicator. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions. I can’t wait to meet you and your furbaby! I’m currently enjoying my summer after graduating from college, and my only regular commitment is my part-time retail job at the Gilroy Outlets. This means I have plenty of availability during weekdays, which I will be sure to constantly update in my personal calendar. My reliable schedule allows me to fit in lots of walks outside of work to fit your pup's needs. When walking dogs, I always prioritize their safety and comfort. For me, this means secure leashes and walking in areas that feel safe. I tailor the walk to the dog- whether that's a jog for a higher energy dog or a slower walk for some sniffing and exploring. I also ensure there are plenty of bathroom and water breaks as needed. I'll keep you updated with messages and photos of your fur baby so you can be assured they're in good hands during our walks.

We initially chose Tracey based on all her great reviews and returning clients. She was awesome taking care of our senior cat Brie. Tracey sent us daily updates with photos and videos. When our electricity was unexpectedly disrupted on a very hot day, she generously offered to take our cat to her home for care. This was truly going above and beyond her Rover requirements. We would not hesitate to hire Tracey again to care for any of our pets and we certainly plan to do so!

About: I'm currently a San Martin 4-H Club Alumni, and I was a part of 4-H for the past 10 years. I was an adult volunteer for the 3 years my local 4-H Club. A couple of the animal projects that I did were rabbits, dogs, poultry, and dairy goats. Back in my hometown, I live on an Alpaca Farm where I took care of our landlord's Alpacas. We also had 7 chickens that I would help take care of daily. I did Rover a couple summers ago dog walking and house sitting for 3 different dogs in total and I'm looking to help out around anyone in Gilroy, San Martin, or Morgan Hill who needs help taking care of their pets. I'm also open to expanding my services to South Bay. I'm Cal Poly SLO Alumni and a San Jose State University Alumni where I earned my M.A.T in Teaching & Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials. I'm looking for a part time dog sitting or dog walking jobs during the start of January 2026. I'll be available to pet sit in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Martin or South San Jose area. As of December 2025 until January 2026, I am available for most of the days/times. During the 3rd week of Janurary 2026, I'll only be available on weekends. Since I live on a farm my farm area back at my hometown in Gilroy, I live in a large fenced-in area. There is plenty of room for the dogs/animals to explore, run around, and take to them for walks around our property. Since my family has previously had dogs before, we have equipment like leashes, toys, and crates for the dogs to play with. Likewise, I was a part of 4-H, where I learned how to take care of animals, and specifically, I showed dogs in showmanship and obedience competitions for 5 years at the Santa Clara County Fair. I've also shown Dairy Goats at the fair as well for 2-3 years.

I’m writing this review to help others who are looking for the perfect person to watch their precious fur babies. Like many of you, my pets are incredibly important to me. I have three indoor cats, including Luna, my “scaredy-cat” princess, who usually only likes my wife and I. My biggest worry was that Luna would be too terrified to eat while we were away. This is my first time using a pet-sitting app. I chose Trisha because she lives nearby, has cats of her own, and had great feedback. We had a wonderful meet-and-greet where she was punctual, attentive, and showed a genuine love for animals. Because our vacation was a month and a half away, I asked her to come over one more time right before we left to review the routine. She happily agreed, which really put my mind at ease. Trisha visited twice a day for one hour over seven days. She was incredibly reliable never missed a visit and sent daily reports with pictures. While Luna spent most of the time under the bed, Trisha used different feeding tactics to make sure she ate. By the end of the week, Luna actually came out of hiding for photos-which is huge for her! When we returned, the house was immaculate. The litter boxes were clean, and the floors were perfectly vacuumed of any tract litter. I am so relieved, and will definitely be using Trisha for all our future Pet setting needs!

My doggies LOVED Debbie! And if the doggies are happy, then I'm happy. Debbie clearly knows her way around challenging dogs. Mine could pull a freight train (individually and collectively), but Debbie handled it with ease. I would definitely use Debbie's services again if and when the need arises.

I can’t recommend Lisa enough! She watched my dog for 2 weeks and did daily drop-in visits while I was at work. She made sure he was well taken care of—taking him on walks, feeding him, and always keeping his water full. I came home to a happy, healthy pup every day. She even got him a pup cup! Lisa was reliable, caring, and treated my dog like her own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind pet sitter. 🐾

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
