“Spencer did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs and cat for 4 days while my family and I were out of town. I could tell that he took the time to read through our detailed instructions and he sent lots of pictures and video to reassure us that they were well taken care of while we were away. Also, one of our dogs is very strong and pulls a lot during walks. Spencer is definitely strong enough and experienced enough to walk him which is one of the reasons we hired him. He is also a very good house guest. If it weren't for the pictures and videos he sent, I wouldn't have even known he was there. Thank you Spencer. About: Over 20 years as a dog owner. I'm semi-retired. I've been watching friends' and friends of friends' pets for years. I've been the only house/dog sitter for a pair of Dalmatians for the last 5 years. I've handled puppies that are still working on becoming housebroken as well as senior dogs that need regular medication and extra care. I do in-home tech support/ IT work. When a customer's animals have warmed up to me, I've been asked if I did pet sitting as well. It feels good when the pet picks you. My working schedule is very flexible, I'm usuably able to adjust it to make sure I'm available to see to your pet's needs. If I commit to caring for your critters they will be my scheduling priority. I don't have pets in my own home. When house/pet sitting, besides feeding, walking and picking up after the pets I'm capable of handling household issues that might come up.

“Abby saved Arty’s life while she was sitting. He became very seriously ill the second day I was gone. I was on a boat in glacier bay Alaska and could not be reached for 2 days. I had not left a letter authorizing payment to his vets (my bad) and when she called, they refused. So she had the good sense to show up at their door with him in their arms after calling everyone who I listed as support and trying on her own to revive him. (He is diabetic). He had been in ICU for 2 days by the time I got all her messages. The waters parted and I was able to get home the same day. In the meantime, she visited him in ICU and gave him love and encouragement. It turned out that he had a ruptured gall bladder and they removed it along with cleaning out all the granular black debris from his abdominal cavity. He has almost recovered completely now, only one week later. I know he would not be alive if it wasn’t for Abby. Grateful is an understatement! Abby is all that a pet owner could want to look after their beloved fur baby.”

About: I’ve taken care of different breeds and types of dogs, including catahoula leopard dogs, golden retrievers, labs, yorkies, and hounds, over the past couple of years. The dogs I’ve taken care of range from the ages of 3 months to 13 years. I have also taken care of pups after being neutered, which required extra attention to incision site as well as giving daily medications. I’m currently working full time in San Jose, but am completely available weekends. I also am available early mornings and late evenings. I like to run and can run with dogs. If you need your dog tired out I can make that happen! I’m going to school so I have plenty of free time to board, sit and walk dogs in between. I have a lifelong experience with dogs; grew up with a German Sheppard mix and have been doing pet care exchanges with friends for the past 5 yrs. While boarding dogs at my house I always provided frequent updates to the owners. For boarding: my dog does best with dogs same size or smaller. I live in a house with a fenced in backyard, within a walking distance to the beach and Frederick St. dog park. I do cook for my dog and can do same for yours (or I adjust to your preferences). I’m dedicated to pet’s wellbeing and will ensure that your dog is safe, gets enough exercise and rest. My 16 yo son also loves playing with dogs. We all are looking forward to host your dog in our house (and/or go for walks together). I work from home part-time and I'm available for boarding your dog at my house (also over the Holidays) or for taking your dog for walks (together with mine). I have plenty of space in my house, fenced yard and a friendly dog to keep your pooch company. For safety I do not accept very large or uncontrollable dogs.

About: I’ve owned dogs for over 10 years and currently have 3 of my own. Over the years I’ve become experienced in caring for dogs with special needs. I love that I can be that voice for them. I currently work Sun-Wed but available if you need a weekend off or you even just need a day to run errands. I’ll be glad to take care of your pet. I have a fenced yard as well as crates if needed. I do have 3 other dogs that just chill all day which one has special needs. There is also an influx of toys that they can choose from.

My single-story home has a large, fenced yard where your dog can roam freely to play, take a sunbath, or chase butterflies. My 32 lb dog, Prema, will keep your dog company on daily walks and at home. The home has a doggie door, so your dog is free to roam in the house and outside. The doggie door is locked at night. Ideally, you would supply you dog’s favorite bed (although we have extras) a collar and leash, and preferred food with instructions on feeding timing, amount, etc. I want your pet to feel happy, safe, and have fun while here. 🦮

About: I have been taking care of pets for over six years. I have cared for fish, cats, and dogs. I have a big dog myself so large dogs do not scare me. I am great with animals and am more than willing to do house sitting, day time check ins, walking, bathing, etc.! I am about to graduate from school so I will be home all the time and will be able to stop by for house visits or to hang out with pets all day. Though for things like walking dogs would prefer to do that in the morning in order to beat the heat! I have a large fenced in yard with one dog to keep others company. My dog is crate trained and is non aggressive. In the house there is no chemicals or other harmful substances that pets could access. Additionally most cabinets and such are baby proofed so cats or other small pets would not be able to get in or trapped.
