“Tamara is caring and attentive and great with Odin. She communicates well and went above and beyond to make talk to my apartment manager to set up an emergency back up system when she had trouble getting the spare key from them. She’s amazing and Odin always seems happy to see her”

About: I am the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and friends of the family. I have been told i’m an “animal whisperer” and take that title proudly! I have a bachelors in psychology, i’m a self-published author, and i’m certified in Reiki (energy healing) and can provide your pets and your home with reiki while i’m there. I have a background in housekeeping and can also provide additional cleaning services to your home. I love animals and have found pet sitting to be my happy place. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! Pet sitting is my full-time job so my schedule is very available! I used to do housekeeping professionally and now just clean for friends and friends of the family, but would be willing to provide additional cleaning services if the client requested. I currently live with two cats and two dogs (a pitbull and a dachshund). They’re my roommates animals but I treat them like they’re my own. I always said growing up if i had steady hands I would’ve been a vet! I’m always caring for pets, or with pets and treat them like I would treat a child.
About: I am a proud cat owner who has co-cared for all sorts of dogs over the years. From pitbulls to chihuahuas, I've been challenged and rewarded by all my furry friends. Apart from roommates and partners, I've also cared for many of my friends animals while they were out of town. One of whom (a dog) I had to administer medication orally. I am also comfortable with syringe applications. From a personality standpoint, I have a way with dogs that just comes naturally. I'd call it a commanding presence, although I can be a big softie, too. Always down for a cuddle! For both cats and dogs, know that I will give your pets time to adjust to my presence, aka let them come to me and give them space, so that I can foster a measure of trust between us. When walking your dog expect that I will be focused, confident and vigilant, keeping an eye out for any triggers your dog my have to outdoor stimuli. For every booking I accept there will be pictures provided as well as a detailed summary of our time together. Your pet's safety is my primary concern, so should anything abnormal occur you will be notified in a timely manner. Please leave information regarding diet, medications, general health info, behavioral issues, personality, and hiding spaces. When it comes to daily routine I'd like to keep things as close to their eveyday schedule as possible. Any information about your building, parking, lockbox location, or house rules would be great help. I'm always available to answer any questions you have, so feel free to contact me with any concerns via the Rover phone number provided. Thanks for wading through this with me. Can't wait to meet your special friends. ** Bonded and licensed via Pet Care Insurance (PCI) My best friend and roommate has an elderly cat I help her care for, so pet care is a daily commitment for me. Your pets will receive the same love and care. I am on the job hunt and a DC transplant, so I have a pretty open schedule at the moment and a healthy desire to explore the area with your pups. I am not accepting stays at the moment, but at your residence I intend to give the same care and attention you would. Please let me know of your daily routine, their favorite toys/games, and sociability level. My aim is to build a foundation of trust with your animals and have a safe, fun time together.
“Lara is great - she handles my large dog with ease - he can be leash reactive and that requires expertise. And she is consistent and timely and reliable. What else could you ask for?”

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.
About: I’ve spent my whole life loving animals and over 15 years working in animal care. I’ve partnered with rescues, owned a pet-sitting business in North Carolina, and worked as an ER vet tech. Now I’m back doing what I love most, spending time with pets. I know how to keep them safe, happy, and feeling at home. Expect photo updates, plenty of love, and yes, a few silly voices too. I am new to Saint Louis and work from home part time, which means I have plenty of time to devote to you and your furry friends. I prefer to care for pets in their own home where they feel safe and comfortable. I follow their usual routine, keep things clean and calm, and make sure they get plenty of attention and love while you’re away.
“Virginia is fantastic! She helped walk our two dogs daily for 2 weeks. She was great with our dogs, reliable and an excellent communicator. Her report cards offered helpful info about how the walks went and I trusted her to take good care of our fur babies. I highly recommend Virginia and will certainly be reaching out to her again next time we need help with our pups!”

About: Hey, I’m Ross. I’ve been dog and cat sitting in the St. Louis area for the last 8 years. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all sizes and demeanors including all kinds of doodle mixes (big and small), Boston Terriers, Labradors, Chihuahuas, Gold Retrievers, Jack Russell Terriers, Great Pyrenees, Bulldogs, and many more. Most of my experience has been staying at my client’s houses for a few days up to a few weeks, doing middle-of-the-day check-ins, and doing some dog walks. I’ve been the preferred dog / cat sitter for a family of veterinarians for the last 8 years. They’ve had up to five dogs and a cat at one time. My long-time girlfriend and I also share our home with our beloved cat, Appa. My approach is to stick to my client’s pets’ routines as closely as possible and to have fun! Ultimately, the most important thing is keeping your pet safe, healthy, and comfortable, all the rest is just having a good time with your pet friends. I love getting outside, getting my steps in on long walks, and playing fetch, tug-of-war, chase the ping pong ball or whatever is your pet’s jam. Whenever I’m unable to pet sit for my clients, they often muse that it’s hard to find someone else trustworthy to look after their pets. I build trust by doing what I say I will, communicating frequently and consistently, asking questions (and being an active listener), and treating people’s pets like they’re my own. After all, I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, and I want my clients to feel like their pet sitter cares (close to) as much as they do. I have a fully remote job so I can work anywhere with an internet connection. The job offers a high level of flexibility and allows me to take periodic breaks throughout the day to tend to any of your pet's needs if I'm staying at your home. I'm also open to walks or check-ins on weekends or after 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Typically, I stay overnight in my client's homes when they are out of town. I closely read and adhere to all instructions provided. If at all possible, I'll stick to the same routine that your pet is used to. I tend to error on the side of caution when encountering other dogs or people and avoid interactions until I know the pet well and know how they'll react.
“Kati was an amazing dog walker! she was very good with my dog (who is a difficult dog). My dog has significant reactivity towards other dogs on walks and she worked with him with dog treats to help with that. She also brought some of her own dog toys to help me when I first got my dog, and overall had many helpful tips for me! I would highly highly recommend!!”

“Allison has been dropping in and taking our dog on walks for a few months now and she has been wonderful! She is very prompt, reliable, and communicates well. We would highly recommend!”

“Chris and Sam were great with our dogs and professional! They were super flexible when it was too hot for the dogs to walk and had excellent communication throughout. I loved getting a video of the dogs mid-walk. We will be booking them for more dog walks and housesitting in the future!”

“Madison was awesome! I made a mistake when I booked, and scheduled Madison for the week after I was going out of town. She graciously asked if I wanted her to check on Bella, and then was flexible enough to be able to walk her for us the next day! Thanks Madison!”
About: ***Constant care pets will be an extra fee*** Constant care is care in which we can't go to work our regular jobs, care for our pets, or go spend time with family. Constant care is care in which we cannot leave your pet alone for more than 3 hours. Meet and greets are free unless you need more than one before the stay, then the first meet and greet is free. My expertise is with older dogs, pets with disabilities (such as dementia or seizures), and pets that need medications. If your pet does need Constant care, we can negotiate a price that works for you. I've always had pets. I have always had cats, dogs, guinnea pigs, or ferrets. I'm versed in many kinds of animals and am happy to care additional small animals if needed. Short notice is ok as long as there are at least 2 days between the time I'm asked and the time of the stay. Unless you're a repeat customer. The 2 days are to allow time for a meet and greet. When I pet sit for you, I clean up after your pet, watch attentively to escape artists, adhere to your schedule, and most importantly, ensure your pet is safe and having fun. I may not be at the house 24/7 during the stay (unless you're paying for constant care), but I will definitely be following whatever schedule you leave for me. I clean up after myself and after your pets if they make any messes. I follow any house rules you may have and enforce rules for your pets. I work at The Darkeness Haunted House. I work the weekends and we are only open at night, so dinner schedules may be impacted. I may be working 6 hours or 8 hours, depending on the schedule of the season. I'm LGBTQ+ friendly as well as disability friendly. I will provide excellent care for your pets. I try to keep the routine as close as possible to what pets are used to. I will try our best to leave the house as it was or better than it was when I arrived.
