“I have an older dog with chronic diseases, and Hope has been so great. It is clear she truly cares about her. She has passed on tips from her veterinary ICU experience and has used her own supplies to help her.”

“Jenn was amazing to my pup, Elton (and his little cat brother Balou)! She was extremely prompt and communicative and I never worried about my animals when they were in her care 🐾”

“Autumn is a responsible, attentive, and overall great care provider for my dog! My dog has epilepsy and needs meds every 8 hours, Autumn does such a great job giving her meds and taking her on walks so that she gets some exercise during the day.”

“Meghan, I’m so grateful for you. You came into my home with such calm care, followed every instruction, and treated my fur family with genuine love. You took Arrow for a real walk, made sure everything was secure, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Knowing my home was safe and my dog and cat were so well cared for meant everything to me. I’m looking forward to having you back very soon.”

“Alexa is super fast to respond and very caring with my puppy! She always makes sure that he is comfortable and happy when she takes him on his walks, and she takes the best pictures of him to keep me up to date.”

About: I have been taking care of my own animals my whole life, and have sat for other people on numerous occasions. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I have to say though that I cannot walk for an extended period in thunderstorms or freezing/icey temperatures. That's for my safety as well as your dog's. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! I have availability on weekdays as well as weekends Message me and we can talk about scheduling a time for me to walk your dog I will make sure the animal gets whatever care they need I am not a vet though, so if your animal is sickly and/or old then I don't know how well I can care for them
About: I have 14 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have cats of my own and previously had dogs, so I understand the unique needs, energy levels, and personalities of both. I offer dependable dog walks while you’re at work and attentive, loving care when you’re out of town. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and routine are my priority, and I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. I work from home and make my own schedule, which allows me to be very flexible and consistent with pet care. Because of that, I’m able to fit walks, drop-ins, and extended visits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’ve also worked remotely from clients’ homes in the past, so if your pet needs extra attention while you’re out of town, I can spend extended time there while still handling my work responsibilities. This flexibility allows me to prioritize your pet’s routine, exercise, and comfort without feeling rushed. At this time, I do not bring pets into my own home. All care is provided in my client’s home so your pet can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your specific instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any household routines. I make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping their environment clean and secure. My goal is to minimize stress and make your time away as smooth as possible for both you and your pet.
“Annamaria has been great! Charlie seems to really like her, and she’s been able to get him out of the house every visit so far - he can sometimes be a bit stubborn and refuse to get up lol. I’m very happy with the service so far, and definitely plan to continue having her work with Charlie.”

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and have experience fostering sick kittens and mama cats. I have lived with dog roommates and loved taking them on long walks and runs! I would love to take care of your fur baby for you. I am a graduate student and work part time. Going on vacation? I have plenty of free time to look after your pets this summer! I will take care of your fur baby with empathy and attention to detail when it comes to their care routine. I live next to a park and would love to take them on long walks or runs!

“Allison has been dropping in and taking our dog on walks for a few months now and she has been wonderful! She is very prompt, reliable, and communicates well. We would highly recommend!”

“Emily has been walking my dog Brody for a few weeks now and she’s been fantastic! She is super responsive, trustworthy, and I can tell she really loves my doggo. Your pets will be in good hands with her!”

“Jasmine walked our Roo for a week when our normal walker cancelled. She did a wonderful job. Attentive, reliable, and left great rover cards. Happy to have made connection with Jasmine since she is so good with Roo! ♥️🐾”

About: I have a 5 year old 100lb staffordshire terrier named Kaido that I raised and trained since he was 6 weeks old. I crate trained, house trained, recall trained, socialized, and lead trained him myself. I have also Kaido to help work with other dogs that are not well socialized or have anxiety issues. I am currently working two part time jobs as a research coordinator so I am typically able to be flexible with whatever schedule is requested. While my apartment does not have a fenced yard, I do have a large dog crate if needed and have knowledge of many dog parks and trails in the St Louis area.
“Kati was an amazing dog walker! she was very good with my dog (who is a difficult dog). My dog has significant reactivity towards other dogs on walks and she worked with him with dog treats to help with that. She also brought some of her own dog toys to help me when I first got my dog, and overall had many helpful tips for me! I would highly highly recommend!!”

About: I'm a Rolla native and a current college student at Saint Louis University. I love running and long walks, so if you have a high-energy pup who needs a good run I'm the walker for you! I grew up on a small farm, and because of that I've had a lot of experience with various medical needs, and I know how to give medications orally. I've potty trained and raised several dogs and cats, and I have developed the patience of a saint because of it. I look forward to working with you and your furry family members!
Southwest Garden dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tatianna was an amazing help walking my dog. She met with us beforehand to introduce herself and clarify how she best care for my dog. She sent a picture after each walk and ensured my dog had enough food and water before leaving. I highly recommend her to everyone in the area that needs their dog walked!

Emily was such a godsend during my pup’s final days. I had an 11 year old tripod pittie named Brody who had trouble walking. Emily would spend whatever time was left after these short walks to sit with Brody and shower him with love and attention. I’d recommend Emily to anyone looking for a kind, patient and trustworthy dog walker

Devon is terrific! She has been walking my 3 goldens regularly for over a year and a half. My pups love her. She genuinely cares about their health and well being. She is honest and always quick to let me know if an issue arises with my dogs. I highly recommend!

Ben’s great! I know my girls are always gonna get a good walk with Ben. He’s walked our two pups regularly for the last few months and always been very prompt. We’ve got one older dog that can be reactive with other dogs while on leash but Ben’s really good with her, I trust him 100%!

Elizabeth provided our family complete peace of mind when we were unable to give Tux his normal daily walks. We felt very comfortable knowing that she has experience with her own aging doggie with particular preferences. Elizabeth was able to get Tux into his harness for the walk and reward him his daily supplement treat. She always made sure he had fresh water and food before leaving. When we’re in need, we will be reaching out to Elizabeth again.
