About: A little about myself.... I got my first pet when my father brought home a puppy when I was about 6 years old. I've always loved dogs my whole life. I've had 4 poodles two boys (our family pets) & my own- one boy toy poodle & one girl- who was a Bichon-Poo- both were mine. Sadly, both have crossed over to the "Rainbow Bridge." Sophie was also an emotional support & therapy dog for my mother. Recently had to put my most recent rescue Sugar down due to complications from heart failure. My home is without and dogs or cats now. I just have 2 parakeets. However, I've fostered dogs & will continue to do so from time to time. That said, I will always be sure to give all of my clients pets the love & comfort that they need & deserve. 😊 Contact me for boarding/petsitting at my home anytime. About: I have my own dog at home so I understand the importance of making sure dogs are happy, healthy and safe. My dog even eats the best around here! Premium food, no kibble. (No hate against kibble, this is just to highlight that I make sure to take the best care of my animals). I treat pets the same way I would like my pets to be treated! He also sleeps in my bed with me. I grew up on a farm and I also would take care of neighbors farms as well. With this said, I have hands-on experience with horses, birds, cats, dogs, fish etc. Horses definitely have been the trickiest to take care of with them being huge, dangerous and fragile so I believe if I can take care of horses, I can take care of almost anything easy peasy. This background has given me a broad understanding of the specific needs and behaviors of different animals. My volunteer work at animal shelters and shadowing at veterinary clinics have increased my knowledge of animal care, behavior, and health, equipping me to handle various situations with confidence and compassion. I've recently decided to join Rover again to make some extra money as a student. I would be happy to help you and your fur baby! Shannon was such a sweetheart! She was welcoming & easy to communicate with before & during my dogs stay. When we got there, she was super nice & even offered to give us a tour of her apt complex to show the areas the dogs can go play and walk. She was very attentive to the dogs making sure she understood everything they needed & felt comfortable with, including paying attention to their behaviors. The dogs were so happy with Shannon, she took great pictures & at the end during pickup, one of my dogs didn't even want to get up from her couch!! I was in the area visiting and wished she lived near Orlando as I would absolutely make her my local sitter. I hope to cross paths again if we're ever in the area again!
Having been about 3 1/2 hours from home, due to work, and desperately needing to find a safe and welcoming accommodation for my pup for the following day Amanda was absolutely amazing!! She was a life saver — if that! My Frijolin was absolutely obsessed with her. By the second day, he walked himself to her door and greeted her in a loving way. The sense of relief that I was given just seeing my pup greet her so warmly let me know that without a doubt, Amanda is not only an angel to us pup parents but also to our pups.
