“Over the course of the eight days that Charles took care of my two dogs, and my bird, I received reports two times a day on how far they walked, see pictures and a detailed map of where they walked. Charles was highly responsive, even when I was halfway across the world on vacation. He gave words of encouragement about my trip and was glad to know that I came back safely. Upon my return, my dogs were super excited to see me, but they were very well taken care of. Would highly recommend Charles and the use of Rover as a way to make sure that your pets are cared for while you are away on vacation! I highly recommend Charles to take care of your babies will definitely do this again. Bailey, Fifi & Babu-thank you Mr. Charles!!!!!!❤️❤️”

“Tim was absolutely phenomenal! He came over to make sure he was a good match with our dog first and she loved him as soon as she met him! He was so attentive to detail and kept us updated with pictures of our girl. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was being taken care of so well while we were gone! Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Ashlynn - I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, including senior pets and those who require oral medications. Every pet deserves individualized care, so I take the time to learn their routine, favorite activities, and unique needs, I’m happy to provide the care that’s best for them. I have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of routines and visit times. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. Pet comfort is my top priority, always. As a Cat Mama, caring for animals is second nature to me. First thing in the morning, I am providing unconditional pets and scritches before ensuring food is given and litter boxes are tidied up. For dogs, potty-time immediately and food prepared simultaneously. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting exclusively in your home, where your pet can stay in a familiar, low-stress environment and maintain their normal routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique needs, carefully follow your care instructions, and treat your home with the same respect I would my own. You can count on reliable communication, regular photo updates, and compassionate care while you’re away.
“Brooke has been a huge help during our travels! We have automated feeders and a Litter-Robot, and Brooke not only shared pictures of our pets but also pictures showing that all of our automated devices are working properly! It a huge relief when we have to leave our cat (who doesn’t travel well), even though we take our pups.”
About: I have been a dog lover and owner most of my life. I currently have a longhair dachshund named Ollie who does get along with other dogs. I’ve grown up around horses so I am comfortable with even the biggest of dogs. Im always up for an adventure through the woods or taking a walk along the water somewhere. Would love to meet and care for the four legged member of your family and provide the same love and attention to them as my own dog. I am available for: dog walking, dog sitting (your home or mine), dog visits and much more. I take great pride in how I interact with animals, I feel they listen better than most people I know haha. I do work full time, 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and live on the 3rd floor of a gated apartment complex in Fort Myers. I do work full time during the weekdays but I am available in the evenings and on weekends. I also live with my boyfriend and he is home usually before me during the week. I treat all animals with love and patience. Every dog is different and I take my time getting to know their personality and quirks so they feel safe around me.
“Alesia is the best! She kept me updated regularly and I could tell she genuinely cared about my cats. When my door lock wouldn’t work, she provided the food to my outside cats so they wouldn’t go hungry until I got back. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Myers
Brooke really helped us with our kitty when we were in a time crunch. She did everything we asked her to do along with making our kitty feel comfortable. He’s a shy boy too, but really seemed to enjoy when she came to check on him! Definitely will be booking again.

We were in a bind. Ran off to vacation and forgot to feed our poor boy Armin. I reached out and Isabella responded quickly. She couldn’t get there when we requested but we worked it out. She arrived earlier than expected and did everything quickly and professionally. She communicated and made sure to send pics. She’s very nice and I definitely will use her again.

Heather did an amazing job caring for my two cats while I was away. She made both cats feel comfortable and safe. She did a great job of giving the cats time and space to warm up to her - one is very skittish and the other can sometimes be standoffish. Heather also easily got my grouchy cat to take his meds, which is always a win. I appreciated the updates about their status while I was away and I felt confident the kitties were well cared for by Heather.

Bianca came through at the last minute for me and took care of my cat for a few drop in hour long visits! My cat is very social and just needs some human interaction which is what I requested of Bianca. She sent photos from each visit and my cat seemed content when I came home. Thanks again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
