“Erika was the best! This was Coppers first doggy daycare and he loved it ! She paid attention to him, gave him walks, and he enjoyed playing with her dog as well. She communicated with me throughout the day, which made me feel at ease since we are not from this area. I highly recommend Erika and I will use her every time we are back here.”

“Vetra is 5 stars! I can’t say enough about her care during Bo’s first doggy daycare. She sent a picture and I knew immediately he was happy and doing great. She held him for 30 minutes to calm him, pottied him several times and encouraged him to eat during his stay. He was very calm when I picked him up from daycare showing no signs of anxiety or upset. Vetra provided a wonderful, caring environment for Bo. Thank you Vetra! We are booking again!”

“Gulcin was very accommodating as our request was last minute. Met here out front where Harley was able to greet her. She kept us updated with pics and messages on how he was doing and took him for a walk while with her. It was only for a few hours but could tell she has a love for dogs! If we need daycare again while here in Ft. Myers while on vacation will definitely use her again!”

About: A little about myself.... I got my first pet when my father brought home a puppy when I was about 6 years old. I've always loved dogs my whole life. I've had 4 poodles two boys (our family pets) & my own- one boy toy poodle & one girl- who was a Bichon-Poo- both were mine. Sadly, both have crossed over to the "Rainbow Bridge." Sophie was also an emotional support & therapy dog for my mother. Recently had to put my most recent rescue Sugar down due to complications from heart failure. My home is without and dogs or cats now. I just have 2 parakeets. However, I've fostered dogs & will continue to do so from time to time. That said, I will always be sure to give all of my clients pets the love & comfort that they need & deserve. 😊 Contact me for boarding/petsitting at my home anytime. I am also available to pet/house sit at my clients homes as well. My reviews speak for themself! 🐾❤️ I have a lot of flexibility with my part time job so I can care for pets with ease. I can be available just about anytime! I can take care of your fur babies anytime💕🐾 I can pet/house sit at a client's home. I am available to board/sit/dog day care at my home full time.
“Karin was amazing with my little Abby. Responds fast to last mon requests. Also is super attentive, always providing updates with photos and paying attention to my little fur baby! Thank you for being super caring with her. Definitely recommend her services.”

About: We’ve had dogs all our lives! Being around them brings us joy. Dogs are our favorite creatures on the planet! We will care for them as if they were our own. Dog sitting fits naturally in our routine allowing us to provide consistent care and regular walks and dependable attention throughout the day, Ana works from home which is perfect, and Rick is retired and is also available supporter and helper . He loves dogs as much as I do. Ana lives in a large golf community, with lots of dogs around and nice trails to explore. Your pet can also enjoy some of the local parks that are close by. Your pet will feel like he is at his home away from home when with us.
“Nina was an incredible sitter for our one year old puppy and gave her lots of love, attention, and play time. We appreciated the photos Nina shared throughout the day and highly recommend her. Your dog will be in very loving hands. Thank you, Nina!”

“Our dog has done weekly daycare with Pamela for about two years, that’s easily 100 times- and I would recommend her 100 times over. She’s also boarded our dog and checked in on our cat when traveling. Pamela is great at communicating during a stay and always takes the best pictures of our pup. She genuinely loves her job and every dog that she works with she treats as her own. I’ve never worried about my dog with her and any issues (dogs not immediately getting along) have always been quickly and thoroughly communicated. The pack of daycare dogs she made has been amazing at socializing our dog and wearing her out. Our dog is so excited to go to Pamela’s every single time and sleeps so well that night. Pamela is truly unique in how she runs her daycare and the services she provides. Any dog that gets to spend the day with her is well loved and cared for. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“I highly recommend Ashlee to care for your love-pups. I reached out to Ashlee for doggie day care assistance for my two cocker spaniels. This was to be the first time for these two pups to be cared for by anyone other than myself and outside of their own home. Ashlee was extremely pleasant and professional. Ashlee put me at ease by answering my questions before I even asked them. Ashlee and her family have a very nice and secure home. I was quite comfortable leaving my love-pups in her hands. I will call upon Ashlee for future doggie day care and slumber parties for my two love-pups. Thank you so much Ashlee!”

About: I have over 40 years’ experience caring for pets. I've often watched friends and family dogs. As I am now fully retired and recently lost my most precious Dachshund, Nathan(hotdogs) after 16+ years, I’m hoping to help anyone who may need pet care watching their family dogs. I really enjoy watching, walking and playing with pets. See you soon! I'm fully retired and spend most of my time at home. I have plenty of free time and I’ve always enjoyed getting out for a dog walk in the early morning and late afternoon. I'm committed to loving care and safety for my clients' pets. I always enjoy long walks with the energetic fast pace Rovers. I'm always cautious to have them on a proper leash and collar or harness during their walks. I take care not to walk dogs when it's too hot and always keep them off of hot sidewalks and pavement. I also allow plenty of couch and TV time for all dogs especially the less active senior dogs. Tell me your dog's needs and habits and I will do my very best to make them feel right at home.
“Pablo and Elaine have a carefully controlled dog pack with a range of moderate energies well suited for socializing other dogs. Although our dog was initially nervous when we brought her there, she fit in well with the pack by the time we returned to pick her up. We are extremely happy with their service and highly recommend them.”
“Elisa was absolutely wonderful with our puppy! From the moment we arrived, our pup ran straight into her home without hesitation or barking at all, which immediately showed us how comfortable and safe she felt there. That alone gave us so much peace of mind. Elisa was incredibly kind, accommodating, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent plenty of pictures, which made us feel connected and reassured while we were away. It’s obvious our puppy had an amazing time and was well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Elisa again. I highly recommend trusting your pup with her, you won’t regret it!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
