“Neesa was so great with my two cats, she took the time to come by and get to know them and the space first, she was very flexible and understanding with schedule adjustments and really transparent. She took great care of my home and even waters my plants. My cats seemed to love her and really warmed up to her, letting her pick them up and sit down for long cuddles. I would 100% recommend her and will be booking her again.”

About: I've had dogs since I was a toddler, cared for puppies, seniors, and every stage in between. I'm familiar with specialized care needs and comfortable with all requirements including daily injections and monitoring. I love our furry friends and approach their care passionately. Your dogs are going to love me more than you thought possible. I'll love them equally too. I currently work a flexible and remote schedule so I'll be available for your pets often and prioritize their needs. I enjoy my morning and evening walks and I'm happy to include your furchild to get them enough stimulus and some exercise. I currently have an elderly rescue who can be aggressive at times with other dogs, so I'm unavailable for taking new dogs in my home, but she is very well loved and cared for so I'm free for all in house pet sitting.

“Grace is an excellent sitter. She is highly communicative, checking in regularly and sending photos of my cat, Hera, while I was out of town. Grace is responsible, reliable and always on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Grace for your pet sitting needs and will definitely be using her services again. Thank you Grace!”

No matter their age, needs, or temperament, I’m confident and capable of giving your pet the attention and care they deserve. I work from home from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., which gives me plenty of flexibility in the afternoons and evenings. I’m available for walks and pet sitting after 2 p.m., and I truly enjoy both morning and evening walks—having a furry companion along makes them even better! “We loved working with Layla. She’s incredibly kind, responsible and invested in making sure our dog was well cared for. We highly recommend her. We had just moved to a new town and she made it easy for us to feel comfortable to do what we needed to do and not worry about a thing while we were away from our pup.”

“Caroline visited with our dogs twice while we were skiing. What a great service she provided!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was a kid. From dogs and cats to birds and turtles. Animals have always been a magical part of my life. Weekly animals are a huge part of my life. From caring for my own, to walking dogs and watching animals while their families are away. We live in a neighborhood that is very close to lots of great trails for hiking. My dog Abby loves making friends as do my kids.

“Alex was great! My cats were fed and watered everyday by her!”

About: Raised on a cattle ranch, I have had experience with animals large and small my whole life. I joined Rover about a few years ago, shortly after my 120 pound lab of 9 years passed away, I wanted to be able to be around dogs and be able to be active by going on hikes and out to dog beach, but wasn't quite ready to bring to a new puppy into my life. I have house sat for many clients over the years: friends, co-workers & students families. I love to go on long walks, am comfortable administering medication if needed & providing lots of love for your dear furry friend(s). It’s been 7 years since I brought my lab puppy Pilot home & he absolutely loves having other dogs come to stay and/or join in on our daily adventures. Since covid hit he especially loves that I am a work from home dog mom now and we take a considerable amount of additional walks/hikes/bike rides each day. I would welcome anyone who is looking for Daily walks/adventures as well as longer term pet sitting to reach out as I would love to watch your furry friends. My dog Pilot would love to meet more friends to play with. Please note: I am unable to accommodate pets with any type of aggressive tendencies. I work full time from home, so your pet will be cared for and with the company of myself and my lab for their entire stay. I have a huge property with a doggie door and live near a variety of trails and lakes that can be accessed right out our door for our exercising adventures

“I’m so thankful for Caitlyn! Due to an accident I had a last minute request. I felt so much better knowing that she was going to be caring for my animals and it helped take some of the stress off of what I was dealing with. Caitlyn took great care of them and I hope to book with her again .”

About: Hi there! I have 10+ years of experience with house sitting, pet setting, and nannying (even though you'd be on the wrong site for that one, ;) !) and as a result have several trusted references. I’m currently looking for sits predominately through the summer time, as my schedule will likely change in the fall! As of right now I am in between jobs, so I can provide lots of flexibility in my day to fit your pets needs :). I'm unable to host on my property at this time, but I am open to staying at your home to provide seamless care to your fur babies! Being away from their owner can be tough, but allowing them to stay in their home can help ease the transitional shock and allow some comfort through change. I aim to additionally help make this change as easy on them as possible with a lot of love and attention.

About: Having had two dogs, I love being active with them and making them feel loved. Because that’s what they do for us too, am I right?! I have some experience in basic training, house sitting/dog sitting for short and long periods of time. I have been pet sitting for over ten years for all types of dogs, big and small, fluffy and smooth, young and old. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your dog(s) to keep them and me active, happy, and healthy! I can help with feeding, walking, of course, administering meds, cuddling, and basic training reinforcement. I value dogs as if they are people and acknowledge the amount of care they need. Your pup is/are in good hands with me!

About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

About: I have house sit for neighbors and friends since I was 12 years old, I have watched dogs, cats, even fish. I am great with pets and knowledgeable about a whole range of pets, from dogs to fish to even reptiles, amphibians, and birds. My schedule is flexible, I am available most days unless specified. I work from home as an artist. I would say my max preferred stay length is about 4 days. I have a large yard, live near many trails for walks, and the rest of my family love dogs. I have a dog, Lucy, she is 13 and can get a bit jealous, but overall she is very sweet.

“Averyl has cared for my pets several times. She is punctual and from the moment she meets your animals it's evident how much she genuinely cares for them as if they were her own. She is adamant about ensuring they get plenty of exercise and are taken care of. “Lizzy has cared for our 12 year old lab, Shelby, many times over the years for both short and long periods of time. She does an excellent job. Lizzy loves animals and is a responsible, caring young woman.”

Nedra B.
“Nedra is literally the epitome of an animal person and has been for the entire 60 years I have known her. Some of my earliest and happiest memories are of her and the family dogs greeting me at her front door when I came to play. Seeing her clean the bird cage on the weekend was another educational experience for me as a very young child as she so carefully and competently did what to me was such a novel process. Nedra's love of (and care for) not only her animals, but all animals, is legendary in our family as we have visited and been visited by she and her critter family members over the years. Nedra has repeatedly exhibited a deep appreciation for the importance of thoughtful caring for animals throughout their lives and across all circumstances, i.e. "in sickness and in health". Her efforts to provide optimum nutrition spared no expense or effort as she happily and lovingly prepared meals shown by research to be the very best. Her happy animals have always been a joy to be around and reflected the awesome care they received in their joy-filled lives. I offer no hesitation and an enthusiastic "yes please" to Nedra venturing into realms of care to whatever lucky animals and their humans she comes to encounter.”

Alek R.
“Alek loves animals and it shows! He was very easy to stay in touch with, very caring with the animals and left the place just as clean as he found it. I would recommend Alek to everyone as he is very dependable when taking care of my dog, cat and goldfish.”
