My cat, Maithai, likes to observe dogs from a distance and stays to herself unless she is in a playful mood. She can be separated as well since my spacious 3 bedroom home offers such accommodations. About: I have been caring for dogs for over 40 years. I will spend all of my time with your dog, hiking, swimming, playing in the snow and cuddling. I am interested in boarding your dog while you enjoy Lake Tahoe. I live near the lake so there will be a daily visits walking along the shores. I will provide a safe and clean environment for your dog. When we hike, swim, play in the snow, they will be on a leash. I will always be very careful with your dog.

About: My husband and I had one dog (Russell) for 12 1/2 years - and now have 2 puppies (Ash - just over 2 years old, Daisy - 1/2 years old). I love them more than anything, and have been using Rover to find dog sitters for the last ~10 years! I am finally retiring and am excited to now help others! Ash and Daisy love other dogs - and we go on lots of adventures - and go on shorter walks and have fun times at home too. My family has trained working dogs, including avalanche and search-and-rescue dogs, which gave me a deep respect for canine behavior, safety, and communication. I’ve owned high-energy breeds like huskies and now have a playful golden retriever. Whether your dog loves long walks or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work from home as an independent contractor, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks and check-ins throughout the day. I love being outside, enjoy longer walks, and I’m currently training for an ultramarathon—so your dog will always have a willing, energetic walking partner. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, energy level, and any special needs so I can keep their day feeling familiar and stress-free. I use leashes on all walks unless otherwise requested, avoid unsafe areas, and closely monitor weather and trail conditions here in Tahoe.

About: I have taken care of many different dogs and cats over the years and always go above and beyond to make them and their parents happy. I have worked with small and large dogs, one to three dogs at once, old and puppies. I love animals so much and watching them is always the best part of my day! I have my own business so I am able to leave and walk a dog whenever I need to! I also work a night job 2 nights a week but it’s typically only for 5 hours. I am very attentive and any time I am walking a dog I make sure to be very aware of our surroundings. Even when I let them out in a backyard I make sure to keep an eye on them. I always make sure everything is okay before I leave (checking there’s no food out, making sure they have enough water, triple checking there’s door is closed and locked!)

About: I have spent my life caring for animals of all sizes - farm kittens to watch dogs, horses, turtles, birds, and beyond. I know how hard it can be to leave town without them and the stress it can cause to not know who to trust with your beloved pets. I have working experience on farms and animal hospitals and am comfortable caring for the needs of pets of all sizes and ages, and can safely administer medication or supplements as needed. I love to play, train, do muscle work and energy work as well as make home made meals for them! I have had many pet-sitters in the past, some good - some horrible… because of those experiences I am able to promise you the best possible care for your loved one and the upmost discern in choosing a good fit for your home. PS - If you like photos and videos of your pets while you’re away, I’ll have a boat-load to send you 😉. I am up by 6:00am most days and work from home which makes for lots of flexibility for walks and adventure! Mental and physical playtime is a must and can be accommodated for any energy or age level at any time. Bedtime starts with relaxation and their own comfy safe space. If you feel safe, they will feel safe! A home visit meet-and-greet prior to your vacation dates is always recommended. I am happy to care for the home, plants, and other household needs.

About: I know the guilt you feel having to leave your baby but I am here to give them love, attention, and exercise while you are out! I have grown up babysitting, house sitting, cat and dog sitting. About: Hello! My name is Alora, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I’ve spent the past year working as a vet tech at a local veterinary hospital, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and cats. If your animal is every hurt or sick, I am qualified to take care, and watch over them. I’m used exercising, cleaning up after, and giving medications to animals. I’m also a dog mom to a black and white Mutt named Ray. As far as exercising your pet, it can range from short or long walks, trail walks, runs, or playing with toys, depending on what they need/like. House sitting will consist of me keeping your pet company, feeding, and all the exercise they need. If needed I can spend the night, or if you prefer I can come back in the morning. I am currently a bartender so I can be available to take your animals out during the day while you work! I love to get outside and hike, bike, and go to the beach, so if you have an adventurous dog I can cater to its needs. I have a fenced in back yard that your dog can run and play in, as well as a few Roomate’s who love dogs as well.
