“I was visiting Lake Tahoe but staying at a timeshare that doesn't allow dogs, so I booked Teeda and her husband Richard to pet sit my dog Teddy in their home. They were phenomenal! Not only did they take Teddy on hikes and to the beach every day, and send lots of photos, but they also were EXTREMELY accommodating. They were super flexible about letting me take Teddy out on several days--in fact one morning when I called to ask about picking him up, and they were already driving him to another lake for an outing, they even offered to turn around. But the most amazing thing was that on the last day, due to a crazy-early flight that my travel companion had booked out of Sacramento Int'l airport, we had to pick Teddy up at 3:45 in the morning (!!!). I felt terrible about this, but Teeda was very cheerful about it and was ready at the door before I knocked. I can't recommend Teeda & Richard enough!”

About: Hello! I’ve been regularly looking after dogs and cats for about 5 years, and I’ve had parrots most of my life, so I’m comfortable with birds too. I have a deep respect for the place I stay at - maintain necessary privacy and keep the house clean and tidy during my stay (check Airbnb reviews in the last photos). I work on creative projects from home - writing a book and doing online consulting and life coaching. I’m around plenty to keep your pet a company, play, engage, and follow your pet’s schedule. A note on overnight stays: I do require a separate bedroom to recharge. This is important for me to show up fully for your pet and maintain my energy and focus for my work the next day. If your pet used to sleep with a human and struggles with overnight separation, I may not be the best fit. I appreciate your understanding! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend 🙏🏻 I am an energy therapist and provide sessions online. I make my own schedule. Looking after a pet is an additional source of income for me, so I treat it equally as a job and make a proper time in my schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. I only provide a service of looking after your pet at your property and do not take pets to my home. I will do so only in a case of an emergency.

About: My fiance and I have a Bulldog Lab mix with epilepsy named Asparagus. Seizures with a 90+ dog are difficult, but I do what I need to to make sure he is comfortable and not a danger to himself. My life long friend, Dodger, passed away at 15 this last year. She passed in my arms, after about a year of doing everything we possibly could to keep her comfortable, including administering ointments and frequent diaper changes. I love animals more than I love people and have been caring for all sorts since I was very young. I also have experience with cats, chinchillas, and an assortment of reptiles, rodents, and amphibians. My schedule is very flexible, which is great because I can make room for all the lovely animals out there! I am a bartender around town, but this never takes up full days. I am attentive and caring. I am also very observant and great at reading situations, whether that be with the environment or other animals or needs more specific to your pet.

I can work from your home, take breaks for walks, and adjust the routine around what your dog is used to. I live in the Tahoe area and spend a lot of my free time outside, so I’m especially happy to get out for walks, hikes, or just some time in the fresh air with an energetic dog. At the same time, I’m equally happy hanging out at home with a senior dog or a pup who would rather spend the afternoon on the couch. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and have experience with senior dogs, daily exercise, and oral medications. My goal is to keep your dog comfortable and on their normal routine while you’re away, take good care of your home, and send enough photos and updates that you know they’re doing well. I work remotely and have flexibility on weekdays and weekends to stay at your home full-time or do frequent drop-ins, depending on the client’s preferences.
