My cat, Maithai, likes to observe dogs from a distance and stays to herself unless she is in a playful mood. She can be separated as well since my spacious 3 bedroom home offers such accommodations. About: Dogs have always been part of my life. My family has trained working dogs, including avalanche and search-and-rescue dogs, which gave me a deep respect for canine behavior, safety, and communication. I’ve owned high-energy breeds like huskies and now have a playful golden retriever. Whether your dog loves long walks or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work from home as an independent contractor, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks and check-ins throughout the day. I love being outside, enjoy longer walks, and I’m currently training for an ultramarathon—so your dog will always have a willing, energetic walking partner. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, energy level, and any special needs so I can keep their day feeling familiar and stress-free. I use leashes on all walks unless otherwise requested, avoid unsafe areas, and closely monitor weather and trail conditions here in Tahoe.

About: My husband and I had one dog (Russell) for 12 1/2 years - and now have 2 puppies (Ash - just over 2 years old, Daisy - 1/2 years old). I love them more than anything, and have been using Rover to find dog sitters for the last ~10 years! I am finally retiring and am excited to now help others! Ash and Daisy love other dogs - and we go on lots of adventures - and go on shorter walks and have fun times at home too. About: I have been caring for dogs for over 40 years. I will spend all of my time with your dog, hiking, swimming, playing in the snow and cuddling. I am interested in boarding your dog while you enjoy Lake Tahoe. I live near the lake so there will be a daily visits walking along the shores. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and adjust my care style accordingly. I have always had a passion for animals, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is extremely flexible! I am available almost everyday, all day to care for your pups! I just recently moved up to South Lake for college and am living in the dorms, so I’m trying to save up some extra money doing what I love! On walks, I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I always stay alert to surroundings, and avoid busy or unsafe areas. I always make sure to bring water on longer walks, watch for signs of tiredness or overheating, and give them time to sniff and explore. I also reinforce good leash behavior with gentle guidance and positive encouragement. Each walk is a mix of exercise, care, and fun.

About: I have watched dogs since I was young, both at my house and at the owners house. I have watched up to 6 dogs at a time 😅 but prefer to keep it to 2-3 total. I have a dog of my own, a long hair-dachshund, that loves to play with all dogs. I make sure the dogs I watch get to play outside each day as I know how important it is for their health and happiness. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I often watch dogs at my house but can drive to check on dogs if it’s nearby. Most weekends I’m outside either hiking or playing the snow and love to take the dogs with me. I have a fenced yard and a dog door for access to the upper deck. During the day I often take a morning walk and evening walk in my backyard ranging from 30 minutes to an hour depending on my work schedule that day. I’ve spent the past year working as a vet tech at a local veterinary hospital, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and cats. If your animal is every hurt or sick, I am qualified to take care, and watch over them. I’m used exercising, cleaning up after, and giving medications to animals. I’m also a dog mom to a black and white Mutt named Ray. As far as exercising your pet, it can range from short or long walks, trail walks, runs, or playing with toys, depending on what they need/like. House sitting will consist of me keeping your pet company, feeding, and all the exercise they need. If needed I can spend the night, or if you prefer I can come back in the morning. I am currently a bartender so I can be available to take your animals out during the day while you work! About: Hi there! My name is Andi, I’m a ski patroller and avalanche rescue dog handler at Heavenly. I’m on Rover to look for part time work while getting to do something I love, be with animals. I’m a full time ski patroller in the winter and an EMT in the summer. I grew up with and helped raise an few animals in my family, volunteered at my local SPCA and have several years of experience dog sitting and walking. I can take dogs on walks, trail running or swimming, I love anything outdoors. I am a certified EMT and although I do not have education in dog healthcare specifically, I would consider my medical and rescue skills as expert. I currently have a 10 month old black lab puppy that is in training to be an avalanche rescue dog and have worked with the other dogs on our team with training, obedience and avalanche rescue skills. I typically have Tuesday-thursday off each week and am available those days anytime to help with pet care. On Friday-Monday I am available in the morning and evening to help with walks, adventures or just letting your pet out and giving them some pets. I am excellent at routines and following directions, I am happy to learn and implement whatever routine works best for your pets. I love to trail run and hike and can take your pets with me or just hangout at the park or home if that’s what they prefer.
