From growing up with two golden retrievers to getting my own dog louie at 17- and seeing him through his senior years all the way up until his passing this past February. We still have his sweet loving sister Nala who is 5, a tender gentle girl who lives for fetch! She may be timid at first meet but is just a submissive gentle girl who eventually opens up for fun loving play if the other dog will have her :) I have dog and cat sat for family and friends since I can remember. I absolutely love animals and take care of them with immense responsibility and care as I know from my own experience they are often some of the most important beings in our life. My husband Louie (my dog Louie came first they just happened to have the same name! lol) is also an animal lover and instantly adopted my babies upon meeting and has always treated them with tender and diligent care. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. About: We hit the trails daily and have plenty of safe, secure space to exercise your pup. I'm currently taking on some gig work to supplement my grad school aid as I finish my degree. Time is as precious as the angels by our side, and I’ll treat your pup like my own. For your peace of mind, I maintain an active Wilderness EMT certification, and my trail kit always includes canine-specific tourniquets and first aid. Flexible schedule. We prefer early, especially before a summer crowd, so that there is some safe space for everyone to run off leash and feel the freedom we all deserve. Selectively accepting a few well mannered companions. We'll keep a good eye. I have a couple spare tracking collars if that is a concern for off leash activity.

We have experience volunteering at the humane society, and have spent the last few years pet sitting dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. Dan and I both work in the restaurant industry, which gives us a flexible schedule. We work 3–4 days a week and often work opposite shifts, so one of us is usually home or available throughout the day. If we do work the same day, our shifts are in the evening, so we still have the entire morning and afternoon to spend with your pet. We make it a priority to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love so your pet feels comfortable with us. We want every pet to feel at home while in our care. We have a fenced-in backyard and live just minutes from the marsh and beach, which gives us plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime. If your dog prefers to be the only pet or does not do well with other dogs, we are happy to provide care in your home instead. About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
“Breanna and Dan were the ultimate dog sitters! Their home is close to beautiful trails, marshes and beaches so it’s like your pup is on a vacation of their own in Tahoe. They took Roo on multiple adventures on her short 24 hour stay and consistently sent me photos and updates. They were very quick to get back to me and coordinating our schedules and booking was super smooth. Roo seemed very at home, comfortable and loved on, I would highly recommend Breanna and Dan as your dog sitters. I will be booking with them for any future Tahoe adventures.”
About: We hit the trails daily and have plenty of safe, secure space to exercise your pup. I'm currently taking on some gig work to supplement my grad school aid as I finish my degree. Time is as precious as the angels by our side, and I’ll treat your pup like my own. For your peace of mind, I maintain an active Wilderness EMT certification, and my trail kit always includes canine-specific tourniquets and first aid. Flexible schedule. We prefer early, especially before a summer crowd, so that there is some safe space for everyone to run off leash and feel the freedom we all deserve. Selectively accepting a few well mannered companions. We'll keep a good eye. I have a couple spare tracking collars if that is a concern for off leash activity.
“Jennifer was a wonderful care-taker for our 60lb Vizsla. She was accommodating, communicative, and thoughtful, and cared for George as if he was her own. She made sure that as an active dog, he was adequately stimulated, and she made sure he was comfortable in his foreign environment while we were away. In addition, she made sure to send us updates in a nonintrusive yet fully transparent way. As dog parents, we felt calm and confident that George was in safe and loving hands. “Tim was awesome! We had our dogs at our wedding but didn’t want them around for the loud music, so Tim came to our venue to pick them up during dinner! They had SUCH a good time - so many great pictures of the two of them with Tim and other new dog friends to hang out and play with. They are passed out from all of the fun activity”

About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.
