“We were very pleased to have had Harley stay with Alexis and would 100% recommend her as a host. When I first met her I could tell off the bat she was good with handling dogs. She has a sweet pup of her own and on the morning we dropped off my Harley, Alexis was also taking care of another dog for a few days. At first she had the other dogs outside knowing my dog is a little afraid of other dogs, but brought them in one at a time to introduce to Harley so he wouldn't be afraid and overwhelmed when he first arrived. Alexis was very warm and welcoming to Harley and during the day she contacted me just to assure me Harley was doing well and sent me a couple of photos of him. Alexis also took Harley for walks and knowing he gets seperation anxiety he went on a little outing with her...In the end Harley was a happy dog and I would definitely have Alexis take care of him again!!!”

About: Just moved from North Carolina to Tennessee! I recently retired from working in college athletics so I currently have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I have a 9 year old basset hound/beagle mix so I understand our animals are our kids. I can give your pup love, fun walks or any medications needed. I work from home so I can be flexible with days and times on when I drop in. If needed a last minute in-home or boarding situation please let me know! I know the feeling when emergencies come up. Please write down anything that I need to be aware of and clear instructions on how to best care for your pet. Example, love walks but afraid of amazon/fedex trucks, starts to pull if they see another dog.

About: I LOVE dogs and cats. I have had dogs and cats of my own my whole life of all breeds and sizes. From over night stays, to just a quick check in I will be available for any need your dog(s) may have. Activities I enjoy most with dogs- walks, inside & outside playtime, and doggy cuddles. I am willing travel to reach you around the Dickson/ Hickman County areas. I am also willing to take dogs to appointments/dog parks in my car so I am versatile and mobile. I try my hardest to be flexible with my schedule to be available at different times as much as possible. No dog is too small or too big. No dog is too young or old. Trust me to take care of your dog care needs. Please note I don't mind dropping in to help with cats and walking cats also. Just due to allergies I cannot have them in my own home. I work from home and my husband and I are home most nights and weekends. So, he will be around your animals as well in our home. Any drop in visits and walking I will be handling myself. We have two (female) dogs of our own who require medications and extra care. So, we are familiar with routines for dogs with special needs/ requests as well. I have also had dogs in my care from newborn puppies to senior dogs. So, I am used to furry friends of all ages and sizes. In home we have two (female) dogs of our own who get along great with other dogs. Our home offers a fenced in back yard so dogs can hangout outside or inside. There are various dog beds throughout and an extra room to allow for personal space, alone, and quiet time. Going to other's homes I stay mindful of a dog's or cat's space and preferences, as well as clients personal property. I also have access to nearby dog parks and I live in a neighborhood where I can walk dogs for extra exercise as well.

About: I can not imagine life without a dog. As if there could be a world of absolute innocence in which we forget ourselves. They are my only 4-legged fur children. Rescuing has been my passion and luckily with a former career in media have been able to orchestrate major fundraisers and rescues. If there is a heaven on earth -- it is the little angels on an assignment that actually rescue us. Crate policy: Dogs will be crated in our home for short periods if we are away to run an errand. This is for the safety of visiting dogs, our own dogs, and our home. Dogs will be crated at night for sleeping. We gladly accept your personal crates while visiting or your personal beds or blankets. Please add any questions to your booking request! The front portion of the yard is fenced. Cattle fencing along whole back perimeter of property. Plenty of room to run! I also live 15 mins from Bowie nature park so I can take your pup out for hours to play. If you have an older dog or a dog that doesn't love playing you can be confident they will still have a relaxing and quiet stay. If you're looking to wear out your pup for the day or just looking for an honest, reliable sitter then I am here! I also have a pond that all the dogs love to swim and play fetch in. I can ensure your dog will have a blast at my place! My pets are my children and are treated as such! My daily schedule works around them and their needs.
