“I'm a first time Rover user so I was new to the process and a little apprehensive, but I had nothing to be concerned about- Autumn was amazing! We had a meet and greet with her before our trip and she immediately made us comfortable about leaving the care of our kitties to her. It's clear she loves animals and our two 9 year old kitties loved her visits while we were out of town. She took great care of them and was extremely communicative with us the entire time. I will definitely request her services again in the future!!”

“Lizz made our elder kitty, Bella, feel very comfortable during our absence. She sent messages and photos after every visit. Bella always lets us know when we return if she is stressed by her experience. This was NOT the case during this trip. Thanks Lizz for all your care.”

“Camille took such amazing care of our two cats while we were out of town for a long weekend. We were so thankful she was able to care for them so last minute too! Our cats are former ferals and it takes them a bit to warm up to new people. I could tell by the pictures she shared that they warmed up to her quickly and enjoyed her company. Camille will definitely be our go-to cat sitter!”

“Paulina has been an excellent caretaker!! She has gone above and beyond every step of the way. She did not miss a single detail when it came to caring for our four pets, and by the end of the trip our dog and cats were very comfortable with her. She took nice pictures and kept us updated during our trip and at no time did we feel like we didn’t know how our pets were doing. We would definitely recommend Paulina to anyone and we look forward to booking her again in the future!”

“Azure is absolutely amazing. Our kitties love her, and we feel safe with her caring for them while we are gone. Her updates, pictures, and all recommendations are excellent. We plan to hire her always in the future.”

“I would trust Zoe to take care of my cat any time any day! They were so great with giving my cat Marny the love and care she needed while I was gone and was even able to trim some of Marny’s nails (something very hard to do haha). I appreciate the thought and care Zoe put into taking care of Marny and would really recommend their services when leaving on a trip. :)”

“Natalie is the best dog walker my pup and I have had on a consistent weekly basis on rover. I work long hours out of town and she has always been able to keep my dog happy on short notice (bad habit on my part). Definitely recommend her.”

“Maddy is so fantastic. She always goes above and beyond in caring for my critters, and you can tell how much she loves spending time with them. She provides great, consistent communication and always takes fun photos. I highly recommend using Maddy for your pet care :)”

“Anna was terrific. I had just moved to a new town, where I didn't know anybody, a few days before when I had to leave suddenly for a family emergency. I needed to be gone for at least a week. My cats hadn't even had time to adjust after the move. Anna accepted a last minute request, and remained flexible as plans changed in the unsettled situation I faced. Her updates were thorough, and a break from the stressful situation I faced. My cats grew to love her, and I returned to three very happy and well adjusted cats.”

“Flannery is the best. Scroll through and you will see other reviews that we have left. We feel so much better leaving town now that we have Flannery to call on. Our attention hungry old cat loves her!”

“Milo did a great job watching my cat while I went to see family for two weeks. I was provided with daily updates and so so many pictures of my cat on each visit. Milo was always quick to respond and treated my cat so well and I will recommend them to anyone in the future!”

“Stone was terrific!! The dogs immediately loved her from the first time they met her. We never worried about them in her care. She even took them for walks! She went above and beyond. We will definitely have her back again!”

About: I have experience in vet med, so I will be able to keep a detail-oriented eye on your pet's health and wellbeing. If it comes to it, I can take your beloved companion to the vet clinic while you're out of town and see to any at-home care they need, no problem. I currently make my income entirely through app-based freelance work, making it easy to interweave schedules. I can check in on your pet, go out and work for 2-3 hours, then come back again. ADHD tendencies serve me well in this situation-- I can focus on a show, a book, or working on my laptop, while still being peripherally aware of what your pet is doing, and taking time to check in and give lots of scritches and belly-rubs. I live in a shared housing situation, so I have plenty of experience leaving an environment that is not my own exactly as I found it.

About: I began volunteering at my city's animal shelter at the age of thirteen, dog walking, and I quickly began taking on more responsibilities at the shelter from there. By the time I was fifteen, I was volunteering in vet services, helping with adoption events, and doing critter care, where I socialized and took care of small animals like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and mice. During my time as a volunteer, I began a veterinary assisting program. I spent five days a week providing care to dogs, cats, horses, and rodents while learning proper medical procedures. Within that care, I attentively followed tailored feeding and kenneling instructions meant to keep the animals safe and healthy. Through my time at my tech school, I gained my OSHA 10 healthcare-focused certification, my HIV, Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and I graduated with my veterinary assisting certification. After graduating, I began working at my city's animal shelter as a Student Day Laborer and Veterinary Assistant, as well as pet sitting for people living in and around my city. At the animal shelter, I handled dogs with various behavioral challenges, including nipping, jumping, barking, pulling, lunging, and multiple kinds of reactivity. I maintained a clean and tidy environment by cleaning up many kinds of bodily fluids and parasites to ensure the comfort and health of the animals. During my time there, I fostered several dogs from the euthanasia list to provide them with proper enrichment and training to make them less frustrated and more adoptable. I have experience providing medical care and enrichment to puppies as young as three weeks old and senior dogs. I am a college student, but I am currently on summer break, so I am available every day except for Thursdays and Fridays. I am very flexible with my schedule when it comes to work and am willing to work with people on timing. I am capable of providing medical care and following specific feeding instructions that have been provided to me by the owner. I provide appropriate enrichment and exercise for different age ranges and breeds.

About: I have over 300 volunteer hours with NOAH Center as a dog walker, cat kennel tech, and foster parent. I grew up with 5 dogs (2 Whippets, 2 Chihuahuas, 1 Boston Terrier) and 2 cats. I ride horses in my free time so there is no dog too big for me! I am currently in between jobs and out of school for the summer so my schedule is wide open for pet sitting and dog walking! My first jobs have been dog sitting at other homes, which I believe is the ideal situation as the animals are always most comfortable in a familiar space. I love to take dogs on frequent walks and breaks outside, they are easiest to manage when tuckered out.

About: I have had pets for as long as I can remember and have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and breeds since I was a little girl. I'm in college now and live apart from my pets so I would love to use my experience to take care of your pet! I can take care of your pet whenever works best for you! I'm on summer break right now so whenever I am needed I can be there. My apartment doesn't allow dogs but I would be more than willing to pet sit in your home and take care of other duties in the house. I can also walk your dogs through the neighborhood as needed.

“Darian watched our cat Cedar for 5 days, and she did a fantastic job! She took adorable photos of him for the Rover Cards, and he looked happy and playful in each of them! She also brushed him and played with him which he loves, and gave him lots of attention and cuddles. Usually Cedar is pretty nervous when we’re on vacation, so i’m very grateful we had Darian to watch him, she took such great care of him! Cedar and I say thank you!!”

About: Hi there! My name is Ry, I’m a 25 year old musician and community radio show host with a positive and bubbly personality who loves to laugh. I also absolutely adore animals. So much so I had to stop eating them! (Vegan joke) Having grown up with lots of different pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters), I have experience caring for a wide variety of pet needs. If your pet likes to play, we’ll have a grand ol’ time. I have experience training dogs of family member’s basic commands such: as sit, stay, lay down, play dead, speak, and how to walk with manners on a leash. Some experience clicker training. I am open to working with any animals learning or unlearning any behaviors. Bonus if your pet enjoys music, I love to sing! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I am available to drop in on your furry friend or stay with them while your gone whenever needed. I cater the amount of attention given to each pet based on their individual needs. If your dog wants to play every minute they’re awake, play we must. If your cat wants absolutely nothing to do with me, I’ll make sure they’re fed, watered, the litter stays clean, and stay the flip flap paddy whack out of their way. Whatever I gotta do to keep them stress free while you’re out of the house.

Fairhaven pet parents share their Rover experiences
Sophia & The Rover service were all amazing. First time users and will be returning (to hopefully book Sophia) on our next out of town get away. Sophia had a connection with our cats that was immediate and left us with no worries while we were gone. Well taken care of with tons of pics which is one of the best features of this service. I can’t give a higher recommendation than to book Sophia through Rover to take care of your animals while you are away.

Milo did a great job watching my cat while I went to see family for two weeks. I was provided with daily updates and so so many pictures of my cat on each visit. Milo was always quick to respond and treated my cat so well and I will recommend them to anyone in the future!

Trinity was great: quick to respond, easy to arrange a meet-and-greet, friendly, and understanding. Looking forward to being able to utilize her more in the future. My dog took to her right away which is always a good sign. Thank you again for the last minute drop in!
