About: I started dog walking for neighbors in 2001 and continued to do so off and on for a decade. I pet sit for my neighbors in 2011 in exchange for the wifi password. I have a one-story apartment with a partially fenced yard and lots of natural light. I am one of those people who 100% crawls around on all fours to play with animals, regardless of my scoliosis. I have a relatively set sleeping schedule so the pets who board with me will have some sort of consistent structure for however long they are with me. I have a series of beds from a previous pet as well as a baby gate for sunny days and a set of stairs for my bed if needed for older/special needs animals. I work a full-time job that is a 10-minute drive from my place and the lunches are 30 minutes long. This works well for boarding since they will never have to be alone for more than 4.5 hours. I have Fridays and Saturdays off and I like to use them for Adventure Days. The manager for my apartment complex is aware that I am a pet sitter and will be informed when there are pets in my apartment. Though this information is not relevant to the animals, it is relevant to my emotional wellbeing: my pronouns are they/them/theirs. Thank you for being an ally!

13. Elle S.

About: I have nearly 6 years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and bunnies along with pets that have special needs. I can assure you that your pet(s) will get the best care and more! Taking care of pets on a daily basis is something that charges my battery everyday that I get the opportunity spend time with a dog on a walk or cuddling with a cat. Generally I prefer to care for pets at the client's house just to ensure that pets don't undergo excessive stress in a new environment and can maintain their routines.
15. Kallie S.
“Kallie took care of our kitty while we were away! She sent lots of pictures and took great care of him. She even spent some extra time with him one day! We will definitely use her again.”

About: I’m an animal person, I can’t think of a time in my life I haven’t had a dog or two. I raised my boys on our farm in Black Mountain, NC with lots of dogs, goats, chickens and a beautiful cow named Daisy. My kids are now grown and I find myself drawn to time spent outdoors hiking, trail running and taking long walks around town with my dogs, and yours too! I have a flexible schedule and I’m available most days for 1-2 hr walks, 1/2 day doggie care (hike, playtime, snacks), full day doggie care (hike, playtime, snacks, nap, afternoon walk). Drop off and pick up included. I have a fenced yard for playtime at my house, I can also sit at yours. We take off leash or on leash hikes, trail runs and neighborhood walks.

18. Karla M.

19. Emily W.
“Emily has taken care of my two pugs when my husband and I have been out of town and taken them on walks when they just needed out of the house for some exercise during a busy work week. Her enthusiasm for animals, her kindness, and her reliability have made her our go-to dog walker for ages now and though I’m selfish enough to worry about sharing her, I couldn’t recommend her more!”
20. Yvonne P.
“Yvonne was awesome! She was very communicative and arranged a time to meet my cat before taking care of him. She followed instructions perfectly and left me without worries for my cat's well-being.”
