“Claire was *fantastic*! She took incredible care of our menagerie for five nights/6 days: three mid size dogs (50-60lb); two older, each on a number of medications, and a very spunky 5yo. We also have three cats including a frail 15 yo; and 9 hens. We live in an old farmhouse that is in various stages of renovation - for sure, not the easiest for house sitting. Thankfully Claire was undaunted by the challenge. It was obvious from the moment I got home that my animals were loved, engaged, and truly cared for, not just “watched.” Baxter was excited to see me for about five minutes… and then ran to the window looking for Melanie. He even ran straight to my truck outside, which he has never cared about, clearly expecting her to step out. That says everything. Melanie spent real time with them, kept my home clean and tidy, and even washed all of the containers I use for homemade dog and cat food, which was completely above and beyond. About: I’ve cared for animals most of my life, including regularly volunteering at local shelters and caring for two dogs and three cats of my own. I absolutely love spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I’m an active person and would be happy to take your dog on long, fun, and enriching walks, but I also love relaxing with pets, playing with them, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I’ve cared for up to three dogs at once and am comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m also happy to accommodate special needs, including medications, special diets, and specific care instructions. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own and give them the same patience, care, and love I’d want for my own pets! I am currently a part-time employee. My schedule is relatively stable but subject to change. I am unavailable at the following times due to my work schedule: Thursday and Friday 7:30am-3:00pm, and Saturday 6:30am-3:00pm I only do care at client’s homes because of my two cats at home who generally do not like other animals. I am ready to utilize client’s backyards, nearby trails, and anything else owners implement into their pet’s daily routine!
About: If you have an athletic or active dog, we are the hosts for you!!! Trips to parks (on and off leash), running the trails, and swimming in a Lake will happen every day. If your dog is less active, we can bring our activity level to where your dog is most happy and comfortable. I have a very open schedule. Usually I go to the park go with my family who enjoy the day doing things outside the house. If you have a last minute appointment or you need anything on the same day I do take them I have a very open schedule one works in the morning and the other one works in the afternoon so your pet will never be alone. I had pets before they pass away. We used to love our pets so much. We took CPR classes and emergency classes for pets just in case.
