“Claire was *fantastic*! She took incredible care of our menagerie for five nights/6 days: three mid size dogs (50-60lb); two older, each on a number of medications, and a very spunky 5yo. We also have three cats including a frail 15 yo; and 9 hens. We live in an old farmhouse that is in various stages of renovation - for sure, not the easiest for house sitting. Thankfully Claire was undaunted by the challenge. During our time away, she was terrific providing updates and was super quick with replies when I had the additional need to check in- super reassuring, especially give that this was our first time with Rover, and having a combined housesitter/animal sitter at this house. We returned home to a very content crew - the truest sign of being well cared for in our absence, and the house in perfect order- seemingly better than we left it. About: I have had a life long love of animals and have grown up with cats and dogs. In addition I am a long standing volunteer at the SFSPCA, and am trained in dog and cat care. If your pet is shy or out going I know exactly how to work with them. I am a college student with a fairly flexible schedule. As junior my course load is predictable therefor I can work with you to find a convenient care schedule. I am available to walk dogs or care for cats at your home. I have a car and can reliably get to you. When we first meet I would love to spend a little time with your pet and learn your routine in order to make them as comfortable as possible. If you are traveling for an extended period I will gladly send you pictures and keep you posted on what is going on.

It was obvious from the moment I got home that my animals were loved, engaged, and truly cared for, not just “watched.” Baxter was excited to see me for about five minutes… and then ran to the window looking for Melanie. He even ran straight to my truck outside, which he has never cared about, clearly expecting her to step out. That says everything. Melanie spent real time with them, kept my home clean and tidy, and even washed all of the containers I use for homemade dog and cat food, which was completely above and beyond. I came home to calm, happy animals and a house that felt respected and cared for. “We are so grateful to have found Aliza! She stayed at our home with our two pups while we were out of town for a family event. This was the first time our pack of four had been separated since Covid, also our first time using Rover, so I wasn't sure what to expect or how it would go. Plus, it was the Fourth of July weekend and one of our pups is not good with fireworks or thunderstorms. But Aliza rose to the occasion! While we were away they were putting up pictures of Brie as well as updates as to how things were going. They cleaned the whole house!!!!!! And washed the linens they used.
