1. Rose V.
“Rose is the the absolute best. There are just no words to even say. Already have her booked 3 more times. My puppies lover her and she keeps everything neat and clean even better then it was left.”
2. Aliza B.
“We are so grateful to have found Aliza! She stayed at our home with our two pups while we were out of town for a family event. This was the first time our pack of four had been separated since Covid, also our first time using Rover, so I wasn't sure what to expect or how it would go. Plus, it was the Fourth of July weekend and one of our pups is not good with fireworks or thunderstorms. But Aliza rose to the occasion! She swaddled and comforted little Leah during the fireworks with her best Mom skills. She sent plenty of pics so that I was able to feel completely at ease while we were away. Good communications via text. We found Aliza to be reliable and flexible, mature, trustworthy and responsible. The house was left for us in the same condition as she found it. The most important part was that the pups were happy and fine when we returned home. Wagging tails all around! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely rebook with Aliza in the future.”
3. Meg V.
“The most important thing is that Bella loved Meg. Meg made Bella very comfortable, played with her, and was on time. We already have another date.”
4. Dan B.
“Dan was great! He stayed with our dog for 5 days while we were away for the holidays, and took great care of our pup. He was extremely prompt and reliable with communication, which I appreciated—both in our initial conversations about booking and then sending daily photos/updates while we were gone. We would definitely book with Dan again!”
5. Beck W.
“Beck was outstanding in every possible way! He even came to meet me ionthe road to shorten my trip to drop Frankie and collect him. He sent photos regularly with anecdotes. He was very easy going and a pleasure to communicate with. His devotion to dogs is very clear and it’s also clear how much Frankie adored being with Beck. I am thrilled to have found a dog companion who I will use forever!”
6. Kristen C.
“Kristen took great care of my dog and cat. They both needed some extra care. She was great giving them their meds as well as treats. My dog loved her. I plan on having her take care of them again soon!”
7. Shana G.
“Shana was our first experience with Rover and it was great place to start. Shana communicated well leading up to the stay and even visited twice to get the lay of the land. During the stay, Shana haves updates, sent pics, and asked questions when necessary. When our usual sitter took over the second portion of our trip, they reported that the house was in good order. Thanks!!”
8. Nathan B.
“Nate is amazing with animals. I have never met anyone as loving, sweet, and patient with animals as he is. He has assisted me in situations that required a calm and steady hand, such as locating scared cats, when I could not do it. He has assisted me with my pets, as well as accompanied me and assisted on house sits. He is trustworthy, dependable, and honest.”
9. Nicole D.
“Nicole was the best pet sitter ever. I used Nicole when I went to Las Vegas to get married. She took a major stressor away and took wonderful care of the dog, cat and fish. The house was in perfect shape, the animals were happy and we were happy. It’s great to not to have to worry on a vacation about the animals. Highly recommend”
10. Lauren W.
“Lauren was great! Our dog is working through some separation anxiety and Lauren hung out with her while we went out for a few hours. Loved and appreciated the walks and photo updates.”
11. Deanna T.
“Deanna is a warm and friendly young woman and did a great job of sitting for my two cats while I was away, sleeping over for three nights. She fed them and seemed to genuinely enjoy them. She sent me a photo every day to reassure me. She even cleaned up their vomit without complaining. She left my home neat as a pin, just as she found it. I recommend her and would certainly hire her again.”
12. Manuel J.
“I believe this is the 4th time I’ve used Manuel’s services. He is great with my 3 Dogs and is always in communication and makes sure to send pictures. He is always my first choice when I am looking for a dog sitter.”
13. Erin H.
“My dog Louie had so much fun with her! Thanks again!”
14. Leon M.
“Leon is a very dependable and responsible person! He cares greatly for his pets and I would rely on him with 100% confidence to watch mine as well!”
15. Rachel S.
“I've known Rachel for years, and she is always engaged, enthusiastic, and respectful. Marty, her own dog, has benefited immensely from her constant attention to his health, diet, and activity level, vastly improving his physical and emotional health since his adoption. Her patience and love for pets is only matched by her consideration for their owners and other caretakers. Ensuring everyone is informed of any problems, questions, or other potential issues through regular communication is always a top priority. She genuinely cares about the lives of everyone involved and is as trustworthy as they come.”

About: I recently moved over to Rover from TrustedHouseSitters where my partner and I house/pet sit for others. I recognize I am new to this platform and would really appreciate being given the chance to care for your pet! I’ve lowered rates for walks to hopefully get my first couple of clients. I have housesit for 9 different hosts for a total of 90 nights, caring for both cats and dogs, and we averaged a 5-star review from all of our hosts. We cared for dogs ranging in size and age, making sure they got fed on time, got their daily walks, and most importantly got some attention and affection from us as well. I enjoy running, so if your have a very active dog that would enjoy going on a run with me, I would be happy to take them with me in the morning or evening. When I visit my partner, I also take her families Bernepoodle, Sumo, out for his walk. I'm comfortable walking multiple dogs at the same time; during one house sit I took 3 dogs out for walks, two times daily around a mile each and felt fairly comfortable doing so. I am currently finishing up my teaching residency in the Bronx this school year, so I am mostly restricted to the weekends until I complete my residency in August 2024. I am fairly flexible on the weekends and am accustomed to waking up very early because of my morning commute to the Bronx. With my experience housesitting, I'm used to caring for pets and a host's home! I'm communicative and love sending updates/pictures of how everyone is doing. I prioritize maintaining a clean space, a set feeding and walking schedule, and spending time with the dogs to give them good company. I'm careful when it comes to walks and stick to the sidewalks, quiet roads, and parks. I am male, so if your dog is aggressive around men, please keep my safety in mind as well.
17. Anastasia S.
“Anastasia is a loving responsible pet owner of 3 cats. She has cared for animals in my home for 6 years. Whenever we go away we call Anastasia. We have three dogs ( Two who are elderly and need special care..) and a guinea pig. We feel safe knowing she is caring for them. She takes them for walks and makes sure they are fed in a timely fashion. We trust her completely!”

About: All dogs love me and I take the time to get to know them so that walking is a joint experience. Being outside is the best thing for our dogs. This is part of my personal exercise and fitness routine. What better way to stay fit than walking with a friend? (oh....that's your dog). Let's go! Safety is paramount so looking for any areas of risk is my first action in a clients home. Most people take safety of pets for granted.

About: Welcome to my profile! I’m a dedicated pet parent, who does dog walking as a side job. My dog background: My experience with dogs includes raising three pedigree dogs in my adult life—two pugs and one French bulldog. Additionally, growing up in Delaware provided me with the opportunity to care for numerous breeds and types and offer dog walking services to my neighbors. Personally, I walk my own dogs for 45 to 90 minutes daily and have a special homemade diet for them, consisting of 60% chicken and eggs, and 40% carbs and vegetables, a recipe praised by my vet and one I’m happy to share. Beyond personal pet care, I’m a professional in freelance advertising, my remote work setup gives me the opportunities to explore daytime income streams, particularly during downtimes. At this time, I am focused on folks in specific areas who are interested in daily walks. I will be experimenting with time frames and specifics to find the most repeatable schedule possible. • Beacon: neighborhoods. Early Morning walks • Poughkeepsie: Southside neighborhood- late AM walks. • Kingston: Historic Districts - early afternoon walks. While these are my primary areas and times, I'm open to discussing and accommodating requests outside these specifics when possible. In home, I bring dogs out about once every 2 hours. My yard is entirely fenced with a 12 foot privacy fence. I stay outside with the dogs while outside. I walk dogs a minimum of 2 times per day.
