“Stefanie was wonderful with our two dogs. The little one can be a handful, especially when she’s on a walk with the bigger one, but Stefanie was a total pro and was able to keep both our pups safe and happy! She was very easy to work with and I’d highly recommend her.”

About: I had a dog for 14 years who just recently unfortunately passed away. Having a furry friend in my life made such a huge impact on me and I love caring for them. I grew up not only having a dog, but pet sitting for many people in my community. I would love to care for your pets as it brings you peace and comfort and it is a joy for me to do so. I’ve been a dedicated pet sitter on Rover for over 3 years with 5-star reviews and plenty of repeat clients. I’m excited to be moving to Poughkeepsie, NY and am now accepting new clients in the area! I treat every pet like family and prioritize clear communication, reliability, and lots of love. Looking forward to meeting your furry best friend! I just graduated college so I will be working on rover full time and will be home all days of the week with your pet! I am moving into a new apartment which is dog friendly with a nice dog park downstairs. I will be doing rover full time and whatever your needs may be I will obtain them:)

“Mario was great and our dog loved him. He asked all the right questions about Penny and was very attentive. We’ll definitely be using him again.”

“Aliza was so great and communicative when she came over to take my dog for a walk. Very knowledgable and great with animals. Would absolutely love to have her again. Thank you!”

“Excellent dog walker, reliable and nice to animals!”

About: I had two felines for over 15 years but they recently passed away. They were my best friends, but they hated dogs, which brought me to Rover. I love dogs big and small, from german shepherds to a Maltese, I have never had the living situation to have one. I understand the importance of a routine in a dog's life and want to make them as comfortable as possible, especially when their human is not around. I love taking them out to play in the park or snuggling on the couch. Depending on the dog's needs I will take them for a short or long walk. We will make a plan catered to your specific pet. I have experience with giving medicine. I have experience with walking, overnight care, and in-home pups. I've always wanted a dog, let me give yours all the love I have to share. I have a flexible schedule and keep my rover calendar updated! I am an early riser and like to get moving so if you need morning help I am happy to do so. I try not to be out super late so unless I am doing an overnight the latest I'd do a visit it 9pm-10pm. Unfortunately, I can no longer offer home care in my house. For pet parents, I will arrive within the designated time, greet the pet with a warm hello, check the water to make sure it is clean and full, check the food to confirm the amount eaten, take the puppy outside to relieve itself, and/or change the puppy pad if required. Give the dog some good scratches and pats and maybe a treat if available. If the dog wants to play tug-o-war or fetch I'll do some of that too. I would like to tailor the visit to the dog's routine, so as not to cause any undue stress.

About: I love all animals. I share a deep bond and love for dogs and would love to devote my time to keeping them happy. I am very energetic and attentive. My hours are very flexible so whenever needed I can be available. My job is my first priority! My dog of 18 years passed away in 2016 and ever since I have had two cats who have ultimately turned me into a major cat lover and appreciator! My latest cat Bear is a rescue and has become very much so like family to me. After all animals are considered family and should be treated as such , under my care I can assure that any animal will be treated with the utmost love and care.

About: Aside from growing up with two dogs throughout their puppy and elderly stages of life, I have lots of experience with animals that are not my own. I have a passion for caring for animals of all kinds—to the point where I consider the squirrels that come to my college dorm window my friends! I love helping out the pet owners in my community and often volunteer to watch dogs for free, just because I enjoy it. I have lots of experience with dogs that have special needs (i.e. injuries or medicine), and I take the responsibility of pet care seriously. I approach all animals with the same love and care as if they were my own, and i understand uniquely how worried we can get about our pets when we’re away. Part of my petsitting M.O. is frequent updates (especially photos) to give owners peace of mind. I have a special place in my heart for dogs, but am a lover of all animals and have experience with cats and bunnies as well. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! I am a college junior currently at home for summer break. I will be taking two vacations in the next few months, but other than that my schedule allows for extremely open and flexible hours! I approach all pets with gentleness and respect, and i make sure to provide ample time for them to get used to my presence before interactions. I follow instructions thoroughly, so detail there is always appreciated, and I like to be in consistent contact with owners in case there are questions, concerns, or updates. I understand strangers can be nerve wracking for pets and their parents, so I do my very best to earn trust and be patient!

“Nathan was an excellent dog walker as soon as I get my account checked out cleared up I want to come back with Nathan if that's okay”

About: I grew up with dogs and now I have one of my own. I have a three year old mini golden doodle who I have had since she was 3 months old. I have done most of her training myself, but she is also a certified therapy dog and loves everyone. I would love to help take care of your fur baby in whatever capacity you require. I know how important it is to have a trusted care taker for your beloved pet. I take my dog on multiple walks a day, so I'd love for your dog to join us, or to come for a sleep over! I am a teacher, so I have my summer fairly free! I will be working for roughly three hours a day during the week at the school, but then I'll be home. My schedule is very flexible and my weekends are free. While I live in an apartment, it's a very safe and dog friendly complex. I live near the rail trail and Vassar Farm which offer great (and safe) walking environments and space to explore. My home is very dog friendly and welcoming with plenty of toys to play with. I also have a medium sized crate, should your dog need or feel more comfortable sleeping in a crate. I will be attentive to your pet and follow any instructions you provide and adhere to any schedule. I know how hard it can be trusting someone to take care of your beloved pet, so there will be plenty of check ins on my part and open communication. Feel free to ask me anything or reach out whenever!

I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely love building trust with both pets and their people. What sets me apart is my calm energy and attention to detail—I notice the little things that keep pets happy and safe. I currently am a cleaner part time. Pet care has always been a second nature to me growing up with pets. I love taking care of pets and your needs. About: I’ve been the go to dog and cat sitter since I was 16. I worked at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility in college and interned at a wildcat sanctuary with lions, tigers, bobcats, cheetahs, hybrids, and domestics. I’ve interned at multiple companion animal veterinarians and worked with deer, seals, turtles, and more. I love all animals and can’t wait to have my own I’m very flexible, I work 5 days a week with no set hours. I am currently working nights and will have mornings and afternoons free I do not offer my own home as I rent an apartment with strangers. But in your home I will respect your home by locking up when I leave, ensuring your pet has access to water and whatever else they are allowed, and leaving things as they were left. I will make sure your pet feels safe with me by respecting any boundaries they set and have fun with them how they want to.

“Shanea was wonderful—super communicative, easygoing, and the whole process was seamless. I use both Rover and Wag frequently, and it’s always such a relief when I don’t have to spell out every little thing. Shanea just got it. She was totally on top of everything, and I really hope she’s available to walk my four-legged little menace again soon! 😊”

“This was the second time I used Manuel to watch my dogs and just like the first time he was great. He let me know when he arrived to walk the dogs and he took them for a half hour walk. He also sent me pictures throughout the time he was caring for them. I have already booked him for a 3x!!!!!”

“Amruta took wonderful care of my dog Thor. She left my wife and I feeling very comfortable with Thor in her care. We did a meet and greet with her and immediately knew she would take great care of our dog. We could not have asked for a better sitter to keep us updated about what he was up to. She sent us many videos of Thor playing in her backyard and we could tell he enjoyed being in her care as much as we appreciated it.”

Ashley S.
“ Ashley always loved animals from spiders to dogs, she had several she had turtles, fish, and currently has a rabbit and has a dog for over 15 years the dog which is psycho at times she still can calm him down and cuddles with him and takes cars of him all the time, even now whenhis legs are slowing down Ashely gives him massages and rubs his legs. ”

Sophia G.
“Sophia is like a dog whisperer. Every dog she encounters, she sees as a unique soul and an immediate friend. I've never seen a dog caregiver so patient with administering medicines, helping them walk with arthritis, being patient with puppy craziness, and more. She points out every dog she sees, and her gentle spirit seems to connect her to them immediately. She has helped raise two dogs in her family from puppyhood and beyond, and she has been a trusted pet sitter for others. She also has experience caring for cats and bunnies! She is an incredibly responsible caregiver (and straight-A college student) who follows each family's instructions to the letter and always goes above and beyond. She is wise beyond her years, and she maintains fantastic contact with the pet families she works for, providing regular updates and photos. She sees dogs as a gift to her life and the world in general, and it truly shows. Any doggie would be so lucky to have Sophia caring for them!”

“Natalie is a loving, caring and very patient person. Whenever me and my family go out we always send a quick text and she never fails to show up and take care of our bullmastiff who means the world to us. She is the only person I trust with my dog and is an amazing pet caregiver and dog walker!”

Bailey R.
“Bailey watches our 2 dogs whenever my wife and I go out of town. I think the dogs like her more than us. I would highly recommend Bailey, she is great.”

Haylee C.
“I know Haylee through an animal rehab hospital and realized she has an affinity for animals of all kinds. She stayed overnight with my animals (2 dogs, 2 cats) multiple times, kept me updated with text messages on their care. One of my dogs comes from an abusive background and is very skittish around strangers but he was affectionate and demanding of attention when Haylee was around. She also took him for extra walks when she realized he needed some energy release. I had no qualms at all when leaving her with my animals, or even just checking on them, walking them, etc.”

Shanea is great! Always on time, super chill, and wonderfully communicative-she somehow makes scheduling feel effortless. She's also incredibly accommodating, even when my little furry buddy decides to be extra! If your pet needs a new best friend (and you need some peace of mind), Shanea’s your person. Highly recommend!

Emma was wonderful! I needed a dog walker at the last minute when my usual walker was out of town. She did a fabulous job - Watson loved her - and I’m sorry she’ll be graduating and leaving the area. But wish her all the best on her adventures and hope others get to benefit from her love of animals!
