About: I’m excited to fulfill my fervent passion for caring for fluffy companions while making your family’s life easier! Given that I'm building clientele, here’s $20 off your first booking with Rover in exchange for your feedback: https://www.rover.com/sit/susanb60924 I aim to provide you and your dearest pet with the best experiences and outcomes to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and safe in any environment. My communication will be clear, and follow-ups will be provided promptly. I look forward to developing a special bond and doting on your beloved pet! tl;dr: You’ll notice that my profile is robust, which is intentional because 1) I want to ensure that I’m a good fit for your family and pet’s needs, and 2) It’s essential to have a thorough and holistic view of your pet to ensure you’ll have peace of mind and assurance while you’re away. Experience: My entire life, I’ve gravitated to all creatures, big and small, and I finally have the opportunity to indulge my love of pets while helping others simultaneously! My professional background in the corporate digital technology industry and 40+ years of personal experience caring for animals is rooted in growing up in a rural Midwestern farming community. My earliest memories consist of helping my parents raise and train award-winning show and service dogs for people who have disabilities, breeding and showing Clydesdales, loving on my cats/kittens, and tending to countless aquatic and insect friends. Even though I’m allergic to all animals, except for dogs, you’d still find me frolicking in nature, surrounded by farm animals/livestock, obsessively studying and doting on my animal family and other cherished critters. While living in Chicago, I volunteered at PAWS (the Midwest’s largest non-profit no-kill animal shelter). I consistently travel locally and cross-country to pet sit for friends and family and never pass up an opportunity to be in the company of the most precious and bestest boys/girls (of the animal species, that is). Due to diligently catering to my pets, I have robust awareness and knowledge and am tremendously experienced with all aspects of a pet’s life, personality, and needs: puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, parasitic/intestinal ailments, medications and administering subcutaneous fluid IVs (renal failure), food allergies, specialized diets/restrictions, treating other medical conditions, training, behavioral issues, and grooming/hygiene best practices. About my pets: My sassy and exuberant silky terriers (previously Miss Addi and now, 2-1/2-year-old Tater Tot) have been/are always by my side. Each moved interstate with us—living the city life in Chicago, then coastal Southern California, and now Phoenix. We’ve created countless joy-filled memories exploring and adventuring (road trips to national parks, vacationing in cities, visiting friends, dining out, extended sniff-patrol strolls, hiking in the mountains, camping, walks on the beach, kayaking, and boating). While living in CA, unfortunately, Miss Addi endured Cushing’s syndrome and started experiencing strokes and seizures. Shortly after moving to AZ, she was then diagnosed with terminal renal failure. We were determined and committed to giving her the most comfortable and best life possible. The final two years of her journey required around-the-clock monitoring, regimented medical interventions, and customized care. While it was such a gut-wrenching experience, we diligently researched, sought out experts, and immersed ourselves in learning about the intricacies of senior/emergency/end-of-life hospice care and how to grieve and cope with the loss of a beloved companion. She lived a full life, we celebrated her 16th birthday and she chose to pass over the rainbow bridge later the same day. A month later, Tater Tot joined our little family. Though he has experienced his fair share of shenanigans at an early age, he is such a resilient, demure, and cheerful little fella! We love him to pieces; he is simply the best! Further Context: I truly empathize and understand the level of decision-making that goes into finding trustworthy, quality care for your beloved companions. Since Rover’s inception, I’ve relied on its service model (as a consumer) due to limitations with traditional dog boarders, and it often wasn’t an ideal solution for my dog’s needs. While we’ve had extremely positive experiences with daycare/boarding facilities, we’ve also dealt with miscommunication, irresponsible and dangerous situations that resulted in stress-induced weight loss, neglect, behavioral issues, illness, and emergency vet visits. With thorough vetting, Rover gave me peace of mind that my most precious family member’s well-being and special needs were prioritized while catering to my busy schedule and last-minute travel engagements. Rover allowed me to move seamlessly through the demands of life and was instrumental while transitioning to new cities. I am grateful for the Rover Petting community and their continued care for my fur babies throughout all phases of their lives. My schedule is flexible, and I am more than happy to work together on a mutually agreed upon routine and care plan for your pet. For short-term stays/overnight boarding at my residence, please consider the following. Household members: - My Partner works remotely. He grew up with golden retrievers, golden doodles, and many other pets and sincerely loves all animals. He is kind-natured and has years of experience caring for and watching friends and family pets. - Tater Tot, our 2-1/2-year-old Silky Terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified, and highly reviewed dog trainer. Same for Miss Addi. - Fully vaccinated, receives tic/flea guard and preventative heartworm medications - Tater Tot responds to basic commands, plays well with dogs, and acts politely around humans and other animals. He is highly adaptable in all environments, walks well on a leash, is comfortable on car rides, and is potty-pad/crate-trained. - We do not give our pets people food/snacks due to health/diet restrictions. However, let us know if your pups love partaking in human foods! Living conditions and details: - Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit living community - Single floor plan layout is kept clean and sanitary - Puppy-proofed (bedrooms can be gated off, and there's enough space for a small pen enclosure/crate in the living area) - There are two small balconies with 3 ft high railings. We created a dedicated potty area on one of the balconies. - We DO NOT have an adjacent/walkout yard - An elevator or four small flights of stairs are required for walks outside - There is a doggy run/area on the property, but it does not meet our quality control standards - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable. It’s comprised of a mix of residential homes, multi-unit complexes, shops, and restaurants. - Weather permitting, walks to Hance Park are ~1 mi. away

About: Love: I have a deep love for animals and have 2 dogs and 2 guinea pigs. Experience: I have extensive experience with dog rescues and worked for Onslow County Animal Control (NC). Behavior: I have a clear understanding of dog behavior and can adjust my style to meet their needs. Info About Me to Help You Decide: * I have a spayed female Golden Retriever who is VERY submissive and gets along easily. * I have a neutered male Chihuahua who is spicy but finds his place in the pack. * My home has: fenced yard, dogs doors, swimming pool, all sizes of crates, and is 3.8 miles from PHX Sky Harbor Airport. * Pets will have access to my furniture, my bed, and swim if they like. My pool is NOT fenced, but I can make adjustments with the dog doors if needed. * I am home most of the time, but your pet(s) need to be 'ok' with being home alone for short periods of time (3hrs or less). * Your dog(s) will be mixed with mine, and possibly another Rover client, so please make sure your dog(s) can be part of our pack. Most dogs can do this; the trouble spots are transition times, like feeding, so I am very careful during those times. * Please bring any toys, treats, or personal items for your dog. A worn piece of clothing (that smells like you) can comfort your pet during their stay. * Flexible Schedule: I own an online retail business that I work as I see fit from my home office. * Available: Planning my day around caring for your pet is easy for me. * Family Help: I have a husband and teenager that also love pets and are happy to have boarding animals in our home. * Drop In Visits: In your home, I can easily adjust to how your pets like to be cared for and fed. I will make their life as stress free as possible while you are away.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have over 10 years of experience pet sitting. I’ve looked after puppies and senior dogs, including administering medication and providing tailored care. I work from home, so your dog will never be left alone and will get plenty of attention, love, and companionship throughout the day. I work from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. My lightest workdays are Monday and Friday, making those ideal for extra walks or playtime. I’m also fully available on weekends, so your pet will always have company and care when they need it most. I live in a 26-story, pet-friendly apartment building that includes a convenient dog wash and grooming station. The area in downtown Phoenix is very walkable and safe for pets, with free waste bag stations provided throughout the neighborhood. It’s a great environment for daily walks, socializing, and fresh air.

“Another great week at Doggy Day Care. Lola loves Ash and so do I. She is professional and kind. I can rest easy knowing Lola is getting love, treats, and playtime with other pups.”

About: I have over 10 years of pet care experience, but I’ve truly been around animals my whole life! I currently have two rambunctious pups of my own—Bane and Hopper—who (in my completely biased opinion) are the best dogs in the world. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just good company, I take pride in making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I primarily work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is very flexible. I am open to daily or weekly drop in’s, walks, and hosting! For in home stays - I have a fenced in yard and my boys are very good with other dogs! They’re up to date on their shots and have visited doggy day care centers/parks many times to socialize. For clients home - I will be respectful and responsible of any instructions that you provide for your home ☺️

“Socrates was very communicative and responsive. His house/yard setup was good for Lily who likes being able to switch between house and yard. Socrates sent pictures of Lily which was great. And it was helpful to our needs/situation that Socrates does not have small children or pets living in his house.”

“Loren has an incredible home set up perfectly for dogs of all shapes and sizes. She spent time listening to the needs I have for Betty White. I’m excited to use her again!”

About: I have been dog and cat sitting since I was a little kid as well as growing up with dogs in the house. I always have had a love for animals. They are so pure and innocent and I think they deserve the greatest type of love. I have a 2 story town house as well as a park thats a 5 min. walk away! People always say I am great with animals and have a gift. I believe that our fur babies are part of the family. I am available basically available 24/7 so if you need a pet sitter thats flexible and willing to work with you I would be honored to petsit for you! I have a 2 story town house that is clean and pet friendly. I also have a small back yard for potty breaks, as well as a park that is a 5 minute walk from my home. If you need food provided I could do that as well (prefer to have you bring your own food because too many changes in diet could lead to an upset stomach). Also if you need anything just give me a call. Let me know if your pet has a routine, or any medical needs! I am very flexible and willing to accommodate to any fur baby!

About: Hello! My name is Vivian. What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience with animals of all kinds. I grew up an animal lover surrounded by dogs and large farm animals teaching me proper pet responsibility, patience, and deep compassion. I have hands on experience vaccinating large farm animals, administering medications, and providing attentive care to puppies, kittens, and senior pets. I am confident handling animals of all sizes and temperaments, and I always adapt my care to meet each pet’s individual needs. Whether this is crate training a new puppy, supporting an older pet with mobility issues, or simply giving extra cuddles and playtime, I treat every pet like family and my own! Your pet’s health, happiness, and safety are always my top priorities! <3 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I work from home 3–4 days a week. This flexible schedule allows me to be available for pets throughout the day, whether it's providing company and care at home or doing check-ins and walks in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I enjoy building pet care into my day, it keeps me active and brings a lot of joy and purpose to my routine. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I always prioritize safety, comfort, and personalized attention. In my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with plenty of space, toys, and cozy resting areas. I stick closely to each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, and playtime, to help them feel secure and at ease. I also have a sweet small dog named Harley, a rescue pup from Mexico, who absolutely loves all dogs and people. He’s gentle, playful, and always happy to make new His his presence often helps visiting pets feel more relaxed and welcome. When caring for pets in a client’s home - whether it’s dog walking, check-ins, or visits, I follow all instructions carefully, give pets the love and attention they need, and keep the space tidy and respected. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether it’s daycare, boarding, or a quick visit, I treat every pet like they’re part of the family.

“Amber was great with Lolo as well as dealing with me and my last minute request. I was in town visiting and needed an emergency dog sitter, she was so flexible and accommodating! When I picked up Lolo later that night she was happy and got along with her puppy.”
