About: Hi I'm Nicole! Iâve been dog-sitting for over 4 years for family, friends, and neighbors, caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Iâm responsible, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that means feeding, walking, playing, or just keeping them company! I make sure each pet feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. Iâm a college student, so Iâm home during breaks (including holidays) and for about four months in the summer. I also come home frequently on weekends during the school year. In the summer, Iâm available any time of the week and have a very flexible schedule, so Iâm able to give your dog plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I have a large yard where dogs can play and get plenty of exercise, and I always make sure to supervise them while theyâre outside. My home is a spacious two-story house where dogs are free to roam and feel comfortable. I treat every dog like my own and many have even slept in my bed! I also have experience adjusting to each dogâs needs, whether that means crating them, sticking to a routine, or giving them extra attention and care.
âPeggy was great! Easy to work with, flexible, and really cared about our dog. We were traveling through her area and she walked Maple both right when we arrived after a 3 hour car drive and right before we picked up Maple with another leg of travel ahead of us- I think she really thought about the fact our dog had been traveling and would need a good long walk âĽď¸â

About: What truly sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience as a devoted pet parent â especially with senior dogs and emotionally sensitive pets. I cared for my beloved senior dog Rocki for 14 years, supporting him through every stage of life, including the extra patience, gentleness, and attentiveness senior dogs need. Today, I share my life with my dog River and also help care for my partnerâs 16-year-old senior dog, so I am very comfortable with senior care, slower mobility, routine-based needs, and gentle handling. Iâm highly attentive to body language, emotional comfort, and stress signals, which helps me support anxious, sensitive, or aging dogs in a calm and reassuring way. My home provides a safe, structured, and loving environment where dogs can feel secure and relaxed. Iâm also patient and consistent with younger dogs, helping reinforce routines, calm behavior, and positive habits through gentle guidance and structure. Every dog in my care is treated like family with safety, emotional awareness, patience, and genuine love. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I structure my days around consistent walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and calm rest periods for my own dog, River, as well as my partnerâs senior dog. Because caring for animals is already part of my everyday routine, Iâm able to provide dependable, attentive, and structured care for pets staying with me. I prioritize supervision, emotional comfort, and routine so every dog feels safe, relaxed, and cared for throughout the day. In a clientâs home, I respect their space and maintain their petâs established routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. Caitlin was wonderful with my Lucas. I highly recommend her. It was the first time I left Lucas with someone besides family for the day and Caitlin was fantastic! Lucas is an older dog and has special needs that Caitlin was able to provide. She sent photos and updates during his stay and took him for walks which he hadnât done for some time and since then he has extra pep in his step and we are back to taking short walks. Lucas was in great hands with Caitlin and I will feel comfortable and have peace of mind leaving him in her care at the next opportunity.

Vanessa and her husband were extremely attentive to not just my pup (Swag) but to me as well. I was in a last minute time crunch and w/out hesitation she leaped in and adjusted her day to accommodate us! She sent updates and videos. In addition she let me know just how accessible she was to me to ensure the lines of communication were available to me and open! They are not just dog sitters, but really good genuine people, which the world can use a lot more ofđĽš!! Choose Vanessa for a peace of mind, excellent communication, prefer your fur baby to be treated like family, ease of availability and overall comfort for you and your pet!! She is not new to this and it shows! Job well doneđŤśđž

Ingrid was absolutely amazing! She took fantastic care of our golden retriever on Thanksgiving. We received multiple updates with videos and pictures throughout the day and Ingrid was quick to respond as well. Kennedy enjoyed running around in the yard! Highly recommend Ingrid and we will be using her again!

I canât say enough good things about Kelsey! She took great care of my puppy, Milo, today and did an absolutely phenomenal job. She kept me updated throughout the day with adorable videos of Milo having fun with his new đś friends. She made sure he got plenty of walks, good food, and lots of playtime. Milo is now happily snoozing from all the fun, and I couldnât be more grateful. Highly recommend Kelsey for anyone needing a pet sitter! âď¸

If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
