âVanessa was very communicative around planning the visit and she was also very respectful of my catâs boundaries around new people! She also was skilled in giving my cat her medication with minimal resistance haha. Thank you for taking care of her!â

âVicky did an amazing job with my cat Juno. She walked, fed, and played with her. I was impressed with how quickly she responded to messages and how reliable she was. The daily pictures made me feel confident that my cat was in good hands. I will be booking Vicky in the future!â

âWe had Esmeralda visit and feed our two older cats while we were away, coming once a day. This was our first time with Esmeralda and we are happy with the results. She asked good questions during the meet and greet, and she left our home neat and tidy. I left pretty detailed instructions on feeding and garbage disposal and she followed them well. Our cats are very shy, so she did not have a lot of interaction with them. It looks like one of the cats let Esmeralda get near him towards the end of her visits. The one slight criticism I have is that while she checked off the jobs that she did during each visit she did not write a progress report, such as the cats ate all of their food, or Ray let me pet him.â

âLehna is truly a Cat Whisperer; our antisocial, anxious cats did so well under her care, could not be more pleased! Her updates were so helpful, and her attention to detail impressive. Cannot recommend enough- if youâre nervous about taking a break from your fur-babies, book Lehna; theyâll be in good hands. âşď¸â

âOur cat is very anxious and not easy to deal with, but Melissa put a lot of effort into building trust with him and making him feel comfortable while we were away. We really appreciate her patience, attention and care!â

âZoeyanne is the best! She is our âgo toâ solution for pet sitting in the Half Moon Bay area. She is thorough, prompt and professional, and she really cares about my cat! You cannot miss with Zoeyanne!â

About: My greatest concern when it comes to working with Rover.com is that you, your pet, and myself all have an awesome and positive relationship. If we aren't a good fit, then the money isn't worth it! I am a local artisan with a flexible schedule and experience pet sitting who finds it rewarding to care for animals while earning some extra income. Every pet deserve's loves and attention when their human family is away. That's why I only take care of one dog/cat/family at a time. This ensures that there's no scheduling difficulties and your furry friend is well cared for. Iâm always excited to meet new friends so drop me a line if you need some time. Thanks for visiting my profile :) : Im a studio artist and work from home so I have plenty of time to help care for your fuzzy friends, whether its a drop in visit a walk or something else, Iâd love to meet you and your pup :) I have a fenced yard a stay near the bay trail so getting outdoors is very easy. I prefer not to take clients dogs to dog parks for safety reasons but walks and attention are certainly part of the experience.

âDebbie was fantastic! She bonded with our cat quickly and was very reliable. We appreciated her messages with photos of our cat! She was always quick to respond and so easy to work with. We also really appreciated that she brought in our mail and looked to take out our recycling! We look forward to working with her again.â

âBrittany is very dependable and reliable. Gave a thorough update, took lots of pictures and got my pups out for a walk. Very attentive to detail and most importantly the pups felt comfortable with her. Would book again & recommend!â

âMy cat usually hates everyone except me and my husband but she appeared for Stephanie! Stephanie did a great job following the instructions we left and was able to take us on at the last minute when our usual sitter fell through. Will definitely be booking with her again!â

About: I grew up with multiple cats and really loved them. I took very good care of them. When I became an adult, I cared for my dog. Unfortunately, as she aged, she got really sick and I lovingly cared for her until her passing. I then had another dog, who was my life before children. I currently live in an apartment that does not allow pets, even though I desperately want to have them. Until my situation changes, I would love to help take care of your pets when you are unavailable. I'm currently able to work from home 3 days per week. My schedule is flexible, as far as which days I need to be in the office. I can help you take care of your pets when you are not available to do so. I am very respectful of people's homes/property. Although, I am not allowed pets at my apartment, I would enjoy helping you take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home.
About: I grew up with dogs and have taken care of many of them. Happy to take young adults on tiring runs. Also enjoy a gentle walk with an old fella. Currently working on some entrepreneurial pursuits, which means my schedule is very flexible. With enough of a head up I can likely accommodate what ever needs you have. I happy to follow what ever boundaries are set for the care of your per. As well as follow any guidelines for care of your home.
About: Dogs have had a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember. Unable to have pets at home as a kid, I sought out opportunities to play with and care for dogs at a young age. Since then, I've... -had my own pets (yayyy!) -volunteered as a puppy foster mom -run large-scale fundraiser events for dog lovers + their dogs, benefiting local shelters -pet sit for 20+ years! (both in my home as well as the pet's home) I am truly comfortable and content with all dogs, from playful puppies and selective seniors, to doggos livin' large. I am happy to reinforce basic training and leash commands you are working on at home. I reward pawsitive behavior through affection, affirmation, and...treats!!! (where applicable of course - not for dogs on diets) :) Along with my 20+ years of experience in pet and house sitting, I have 10+ years of experience as a professional nanny and 2+ years of experience as a personal chef. I know how to treat others' homes, and loved ones, with respect, loving care, and confidentiality. I currently work from home, with flexibility to take breaks and walks throughout the day. I like to go on walks and hikes, and Iâm happy to bring your dog along for the adventure if applicable. Health, safety, and happiness of your dog is my top priority. I want your doggie to live their best life while I am with them, and that means lots of love and adventuring (depending on your pup). If your dog is on the shy and/or anxious side, I provide space for them to come to me when the time is right. In an emergency, remaining calm, following procedure, and staying in good communication with you stays top of mind.

About: Iâve cared for dogs my entire life, including Pomeranians, Jack Russell Terriers, German Shepherds, and mixed-breed dogs of all sizes. My experience ranges from energetic, high-drive breeds that need plenty of exercise and engagement to laid-back companions who prefer a slower pace. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or simply companionship, I provide patient, dependable care and treat every pet as if they were my own. I work full-time supporting adults with developmental disabilities, so reliability, patience, and attention to detail are part of my everyday life. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I enjoy spending my free time with animals. In addition to caring for dogs and cats throughout my life, I also have experience with small birds and bearded dragons. I am available afternoons, evenings, and weekends and will work to maintain your petâs normal schedule so they feel comfortable and secure while youâre away. I believe every pet deserves individualized care based on their personality, routine, and needs. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, exercise requirements, and any household rules provided by owners. Safety is always my top priority, whether Iâm caring for your pet in your home or during walks and visits. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone elseâs care, and I strive to provide dependable communication and updates throughout each stay.
âJaxon is a calm, considerate person, who is very comfortable around dogs. My dogs really enjoyed being watched by Jaxon. I would gladly have him watch my dogs in the future.â

We requested zoeyanne at the last minute, less than a day before our trip and she responded promptly confirming the stay. She was great! Very punctual and took good care of the cat. I was worried Petra (my cat) would hide the whole time because sheâs shy but she was so friendly and interested in Zoeyanne! The photos added were really cute and nice too. Would absolutely hire her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in El Granada. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
