Kindness goes a long way
I’ve owned pets all my life. I had a dearly loved dog that I saw through from puppyhood all the way to thirteen years old when she passed from cancer. I’ve had two cats since they were kittens, one of which had hyperthyroidism which required daily treatments. He has since passed away from kidney failure at seventeen. As a team with my sister, we personally trained our dog — and even the cats — using books to learn how to bond with the animals. I’ve not had a conventional job working with animals, but I am my friends’ go-to for pet sitting. I’ve done extended stay pet sitting (ten+ days) involving overnight care. I’ve handled daily medications for cats and dogs and worked on leash training for a friend’s dog as well as house training puppies. I currently live with an elderly cat and three freshwater aquariums.

Safety, trust & environment
I always clean up after a pet and make sure they have easy access to water at all times. I know how to keep dogs inside a fenced area and keep inside cats from running out the door.

She has experience with both dogs & cats in not only exercising & feeding, but also with giving medication & even taking pets to the veterinarian. The big plus in Davina’s favor is that animals seem to instinctively trust & love her back.
Davina is our first choice pet sitter. She has stayed with our cat, Masha, multiple times. Masha feels so comfortable with her it's like we never left! Our cat doesn't like being alone, and increasingly has special medical needs. Davina is extremely attentive, gentle, and skilled at giving medication to a squirmy cat. Davina is communicative, sending pictures and updates frequently, and reliably tracks medication, food, etc. I trust her with my baby and my home.
Davina is an extremely conscientious animal lover. She has a gentle way with animals of all kinds and is very responsible and trustworthy. Diligent and well researched, I‘d be very confident leaving my animals in her care.
