“We’ve had a lot of Rover people before but Nicole went above and beyond without any prompting! She was kind and attentive and we would highly recommend her to care for anyone’s pets”

“Melissa sought to go beyond in caring for my cat. She even returned one day to check on his food and water when I was worried it might be low. She played with him and his toys and sent me pictures that he was doing well. I will be asking for her help again!”

“Carole is a thorough and thoughtful sitter! She treats our lovely, but admittedly feisty, cat with plenty of patience and compassion. She’s flexible with great problem-solving skills, and her reports are consistent and detailed. We’ve used her twice for 10+ day trips and wouldn’t hesitate to request her services again!”

“Chris was a lifesaver! I needed a cat sitter last minute and he promptly responded, went to see my cat, fed her, played with her, and sent me pictures. Thank you Chris!”

“Liz took care of my cat and they were an amazing sitter! My cat had some stomach problems and unfortunately made a mess and Liz helped clean up and kept me updated on how my cat was doing. I would 100% recommend them to take care of your fur baby!”

About: Hi all! My name is Veronica. I'm an Amherst College alumna ('17) and current 4th year med student (Dartmouth, Geisel School of Medicine '26). I spent my childhood in rural NY, TN, and VA with my grandparents and our dogs, cats, and parrot. In my household, animals were viewed as family, and were always treated as such. I've been taking care of/loving cats & dogs of all sizes (we have owned a daschund named Mr. Wiggles, an Irish Wolfhound named Hobbs, a collie named Blue, to name a few) and ages (puppies to salt&pepper seniors) since I was 5. My partner and I are also proud cat parents to two bonded, adopted cats (Gaston & Basil). I have cared for several friends', neighbors', and strangers turned clients' cats and dogs while they were away/traveling! I hope to bring the same love, respect, and care to your pet that I show my own when you are not there. No pet is too small, too big, too silly, or too drooly for me! I will be based in New Haven, CT working on my residency application, research, and other personal projects with much free time in the upcoming year (2025-26). I am happy to house-sit your pet in your own home, be a dog-walker, or drop-in to feed/walk/play with your pet. For dog-walking & drop-in services, I would prefer if clients are within a 10-15 minute drive from New Haven, CT, though I will consider each request individually. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate dogs or cats in my own apartment.

“Katelyn took great care of my cat and bunny while we were away. They are both quite needy with attention and I could tell they were both very happy for her visits. Definitely recommend!”

“Mary Rose did a great job feeding and watering my cat, Lily! She administered meds each day as well. She communicated effectively and sent pictures during each visit. In addition, she washed the dirty plates from the prior visits and left everything neat and clean. I would highly recommend Mary Rose, and I’ll book with her again!”

“Mikayla and Justin are simply great. They took great care of my dog Thelma, who can be very skiddish as she is a rescue. Mikayla and Justin spent ample time letting Thelma warm up to them before taking her out for a walk. I would 10/10 recommend them for any pet care and I will definitely be booking them again for Thelma!”

About: Hi! My name is Jasie. I am working full-time in healthcare and from home (which gives me lots of flexibility)! Animals bring me so much joy and I love meeting new ones anywhere I go. I am coming back from a break from the app, as I had some years to spend with my roommate’s two lovely cats but they’ve now moved away and I’d love to make some new neighborhood friends! Right now I will focus my business on caring for cats. I have experience with special needs dogs and cats (meds, extra food prep). When you want to spend some time away from home and don’t want to leave your animals alone or even just want some time to yourself, I would love to take care of them! I work from home so have plenty of flexibility to care on dogs and cats, especially dogs when potty time is more needed than usual. I can play with them as I take breaks from work as well! I can crate a dog or cat if needed. I am very careful and like to make sure your pets are in my view from wherever I am most of the time. If I have to leave, I’ll make sure they can’t find trouble!

“Garrett is hands down the best person to trust with your pet. We left our 7 year old, lively & sociable shepherd mix alone for the first time when we went to Portugal for 10 days. This was the first time Buster had been left with anyone outside the family, and to say I was nervous was an understatement. Garrett went above and beyond, sending messages with pictures and a brief check in, reassuring us that Buster was fine - the pictures gave us real evidence that he was indeed a happy camper, and honestly some of the photos made it seem like he was having a better time than if we’d been home! Haha, but in all seriousness, I would recommend Garrett 100% to anyone, and will definitively be going to him first whenever we need Buster care in the future. Thank you, Garrett!!!”

“Raimy was very kind and sweet to my two dogs on our meet and greet. She seemed to build good rapport with both my dogs, even my shy dog, Teddy. I look forward to using her for future house sitting needs.”

Jasie J.
“Jasie is a kind and compassionate person to humans and animals. I've known her for a very long time and she's always been passionate about dogs and a dog whisperer even to the most difficult of dogs. I own a very wild and strong husky and Jasie was able to take care of her so well. She always took her out on time, gave her lots of exercise, lots of love, and even took care of the house too. I trust her with dogs more than anyone else.”

Helena S.
“Helena is, without exaggeration, a dream caregiver for any pet. I’ve witnessed firsthand how deeply committed, intuitive, and loving she is with animals of all kinds. Whether it’s a high-energy pup who needs constant play, a shy rescue cat who needs a gentle touch, or a senior dog who just wants company and calm—Helena meets them exactly where they are with patience, joy, and remarkable emotional intelligence. She doesn't just “watch” pets—she forms real bonds with them. She notices the smallest details (changes in appetite, mood, routine), communicates clearly and regularly, and goes above and beyond to make sure each animal feels safe, stimulated, and loved. My own pets light up when they see her—and frankly, I trust her more than some vets I’ve worked with. If you’re looking for someone who treats your animals like family, who is reliable, professional, kind, and incredibly skilled at what she does—Helena is that rare gem. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone on Rover. Your pets couldn’t be in better hands.”

Rebecca T.
“Rebecca is a dependable caregiver for not only dogs, but for all animals. She makes a very responsible guardian for anyone's pets and is driven by her love for animals. There is no doubt that your dog will be in safe hands with this reliable individual.”

Katie D.
“huge fan of Katie! She's been super dependable on our german shepard's walk schedule and promptly responds to scheduling changes. She's professional and kind, and my partner and I appreciate her taking Glenn on runs so he's a bit calmer when we pick him up.”
East Rock pet parents share their Rover experiences
I highly recommend Tania for her absolutely wonderful service. She is most punctual, responsive, and reliable and reading her rover card notes brought me joy. She also has a great understanding of cats. I am relieved and excited to have found someone I can trust my cat with while I travel!

Natalie was amazing with my cat! My cat could seem hard to understand because she needs to come to you on her own terms. Natalie was so patient and caring that my cat trusts her completely! My cat loves her and adores spending time with her. I will book Natalie any time!

Will 100% book Angela again! She was flexible in accommodating my request after another sitter cancelled last minute and she did great with my cats. She had no issue administering medication to my geriatric guy and even bonded with my more skittish girl. She also took great photos :-)

Sarah is the most loving and attentive caretaker for your fur babies. She meticulously monitored how our 19 year old Jiggs was eating and drinking while making sure our three year old Rosie was given what he also needed. Her daughter is the sweetest assistant, doling out treats and pets. You will rest easy when Sarah looks after your precious ones!

Melissa was amazing! I can tell that she is an animal person and immediately my cat was comfortable with her. I hate leaving my kitty so it gave me such peace of mind to know she was taking care of him. Melissa also provided great update photos! I would definitely recommend Melissa if you need a caretaker for your pet :)

Thanks for taking care of Colt and Ripley, including giving medications. Each visit included multiple pictures and updates about concerns I had previously expressed (medications, not eating, etc.). Marisa was very easy to work with and communicative. I would definitely rebook!

Thank you, Amanda, for being responsive during scheduling, and attentive and communicative during your visits with our two cats this weekend! The detailed visit summaries you provided brought a smile to my face, knowing my girls were getting great care and company 😊
