“I deeply appreciate of Ashley’s short notice availability and flexibility when we had an accident which needed an emergency department visit for a human. Her clear communication and obvious care is fantastic.”

“I began working with William recently with my puppy, Max. The amount of relief I feel with his help! My pet is a puppy, and William is very kind, gentle, & understanding. I have complete trust in him when I leave Max in his hands. Totally recommend him!!”

“Brooke had great communication and arrived on time. She was super helpful and responsive. She took the dogs out despite the freezing weather and I will definitely use her services again!”

“Absolutely thrilled with Trent. So kind. So patient. Reliable and hard working. Paid attention to the smallest of details which made my being away so much easier. Thank you, Trent!”

“Brooke was so personable and did an outstanding job with our cat Ollie. She was very easy-going and kept in touch updating us daily. We will definitely be using her again and maybe even going out of town more often, lol!”

“Thank you Benjamin for your willingness and flexibility to take care of Tigger for us! He always loves it when you come visit him and will look forward to another visit soon! Thanks for providing him such excellent care and for taking care of our home too!! We appreciate you so much!”

“Sheena is the best pet sitter we’ve worked with! She ran into a problem and she completely solved it on her own and then just sent us a message to keep us updated. Her pics of our pets are honestly NatGeo worthy and she always gives a detailed update on their health / temperament. She’s my go to!”

“Doron has been an incredible help during my recent move to the Atlanta area. Relocating can be stressful for both people and pets, and my dog was especially anxious adjusting to a new environment. From day one, Doron made the transition so much easier. He was consistently responsive and communicative, keeping me updated and giving me peace of mind while I was juggling everything that comes with a move. Most importantly, he was wonderful with my dog—by the end of her first week here, she was noticeably happier and more comfortable. I’m so grateful to have found someone so reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend Doron to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!”

“Claire was reliable, communicative and easy to work with while I was gone on a lengthy trip. My dog is old and can be sweet and lively but sometimes grumpy. Claire communicated well with me (and worked well with Bae!) to make it successful! Bae loves her walks so was grateful Claire was able to drop in on her!”
“We recently completed our second booking with Gabriel within three months. He does an amazing job caring for our three cats, and we always feel comfortable knowing that he is meeting their needs in our home while we travel. Highly recommend!”

About: I have trained my own pet by myself and my experience has improved and expanded due to the fact I use to work at a animal clinic. I know how to do more than the basic feeding and walking such as I can give you tips or give you awareness on a problem your pet had/have. I’m currently working part time and I’m on summer break from college so I have a lot of time available for walking, home visits and even boarding. I’m willing to work with you with any arrangement that will work for the both of us. I live in a apartment complex that provides two doggy parks which I take both of my pets as much as I can. I have no problem with clean pets on my Funiture and if you prefer them to be crated you will need to provide a crate. I keep both of my pets on a food and potty schedule so if you don’t have one already I will use my schedule for your pets as well.
“Brianna was extremely helpful and professional in watching my dog, Peaches! She kept me updated on how Peaches was doing and sent me photos. She arrived promptly and was such a help in letting out and feeding my dog.”

About: I have grown up with dogs. I have a female husky too who is very friendly. Your dog will have frequent walks, there is a dog park in my community, so they can play off leash (if that is what they like). Dogs are allowed on furniture. I can accommodate any special requests as well, like medicines, food modifications, training pads etc. Your dog will get lots of hugs and pets and I will share pics and videos too. I do not take more than 1 dog at a time so they will have my full attention. I am at home full time and your pup will have my full attention. I take them for frequent walks, every 2-4 hours along with play time At my home, dogs are allowed on furniture. I have a patio where my dog likes to sleep in the sun. There is also a fenced dog park in my community. They can have off leash play time if that is something they enjoy.
“Rose did an amazing job with my two fur babies! She was always on time, and my dogs enjoyed her company. She always sent me photos which made me feel at ease while I was at work. I will definitely be booking her services again soon!”

“Emily did a great job taking care of our dog while we were out of town. We appreciated her updates each visit and the photos she included. It was so nice to have peace of mind while we were away! We would definitely recommend Emily to anyone needing excellent care for their pet.”

“Yana was amazing! She was patient with my one trouble child and great with updates and photos. She seems to really understand dogs. I highly recommend her!! Thank you!!”

“Summer was great with my two cats! One of my cats is very cautious when meeting new people, but with Summer he warmed up to her very quickly. Summer played with my kitties and made sure that they got lots of attention. I really appreciated that Summer sent pictures of my fur babies while I was out. Seeing them lounging and playing, gave me the added reassurance that they were happy and well taken care of.”

“Lilan did great with my new little rescue girl! I have only had her for a few weeks so she is timid. Lilian came to meet her, followed my instructions for walking and feeding her. I will definitely book her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dunwoody
Brooke has been a godsend, allowing our nervous senior dog to remain in our home while we’re away. She has been extra helpful- bringing in mail and putting our trash can at the curb without our even asking. We appreciate her prompt communication and her photos and updates. We have peace of mind knowing that our pet and our home are in good hands. Can’t recommend her highly enough!
Wonderful sitter! I highly recommend her to watch your pets :). She was the most communicative and thorough sitter I’ve ever had. She took excellent care of my cat and did a great job giving him his medicine. It made me feel very secure and at peace knowing that my cat was being cared for so well while I was on a trip. Thank you so much for the excellent service!

Kristina was absolutely amazing! I was especially nervous leaving my cat because he had recently undergone mouth surgery, but she took such great care of him and put my mind completely at ease. She paid close attention to his needs and spent quality time giving him cuddles and attention. She also sent daily pictures and updates, which meant so much while I was away. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and it was clear she genuinely cared about my cat’s well-being. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. I would absolutely book with Kristina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate pet sitter!

Here are some of the reasons I would definitely hire Rachel every time I’m out of town… 1. She was punctual every day 2. She was consistent and thorough 3. She is very caring and loving toward my kitties 4. She is considerate 5. She sent pictures every day 6. She kept me informed about all details of each visit This is the first time I’ve ever used a pet sitting service. I am thrilled to have found Rachel! I highly recommend her!

Laura was perfect for our kitty Casper and provided updates and pictures to keep us up to date. She even came over before the pet-sitting for a meet and greet with our pet. Couldn't recommend here enough and will be happy to request her again for next time. Thank you Laura!

Yiwen was amazing! Perfect communication, thorough notes were taken during our meet-and-greet before our trip, our boys were happy, safe, and healthy when we returned! She was very willing to add on taking care of our dog as well as our cat. Both required medications and she nailed it all.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
