“Melanie walked my mini schnauzer on a weekly basis. She was reliable and took care not to tire him out too much as he is a senior dog and had some health issues. I recommend her for your fur baby!”

About: I grew up with a dog and have always loved being around animals. Over the years, friends and family have regularly trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their dogs while they're away. I’m calm, responsible, and happy to follow your pet’s routines to keep them comfortable, safe, and happy. Whether it’s a daily walk, some playtime, or a full day of care, I treat every dog like my own. I'm currently in between work projects so I have ample time to care for your dog during the week and on the weekends - can be available anytime with enough advanced notice. Unfortunately, I'm not able to host your fur baby at my house at this time. However, I'd be happy to keep them company at your home and promise to leave your space better than I found it.
“Monica was amazing this whole week! She texted me every time she picked up Theo for a walk and texted me pictures of their walk every day. It was very reassuring to know that he was happy and doing well. She was even kind enough to wipe his paws when it was raining and fed him after the walk. Highly recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a dog walker or someone who truly cares about animals:) Thank you soo much Monica!!!”

“My dog knows Alex’s name. We’ve gotten into the habit of spelling her name instead of saying. We have to take care to not accidentally say her name otherwise my dog will run to the front door to wait and that cute look of anticipation. Needless to say my dog looks forward to seeing A-l-e-x.”

You can count on me to provide safe, reliable, and deeply affectionate care. I am a recent retiree and home full-time, which makes me an ideal sitter for kittens and cats, or a walker for puppies, seniors, or dogs needing extra attention. Caring for pets requires maintaining their routines and ensuring a safe environment, whether I am walking them or performing home visits. I tailor my approach around strict safety and clear communication.I send photo updates and message logs to give you peace of mind while you are away.

“Sara is the best! I love that she is flexible and willing to help expand my husky’s energy. She walked my dog to the point where my dog got home and just sploot. My dog is excited to see her and I highly recommend!”

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life and have owned and cared for many different pets over the years, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of temperaments and needs. I'm a responsible, reliable student here in Pasadena, working to help support myself through school, and I take that responsibility seriously when it comes to caring for someone else's pet too. Whether it's a daily walk or watching your house and pets while you're away, I show up on time, follow your instructions closely, and treat your animals like my own. I'd love to be your go-to sitter. I'm a full-time student, so pet care fits naturally around my class and research schedule rather than competing with a 9-to-5. I have reliable open blocks most weekdays for walks and check-ins, plus wide-open evenings and weekends for overnight house sitting. I'm also happy to be flexible if your schedule changes last minute. When I'm caring for pets in your home, I treat it like my own. I follow your instructions on locks, alarms, feeding, and routines exactly, I don't have guests over, and I keep a close eye on the house the whole time I'm there. On walks, I always keep dogs leashed near roads and double check collars and harnesses before heading out.
About: I just love spending time with cats and dogs. I am an active volunteer at a animal shelter. I participated in programs like dog socialization, public training classes and clicker training. I am also a team member of the cat adoption program which tasks include husbandry, socialization, adoption counseling and so on. And I do all of this for fun. Enjoying it 100%. Looking forward to have the chance to meet your furry friends!! Bilingual: English, 普通话 I have a flexible working schedule which can easily accommodate your need. I am available for dog walking and drop-in visit up to 3 times a day as long as I get a request in advance. Safety is the first priority for both of us. I always ask the parents for what is allowed and what is not. For dogs, I give them all my attention during walks (consistently of poop/pee, trash eating, etc.,). And after walks, I always wipe their paws and check for any signs of abnormalities. For cat drop-in visits, I perform husbandry including litter box cleaning and refilling, feeding and socializing if needed. Customization is welcomed. Communication is very important and trust can be built. Let’s make this a great experience.
“Eric is amazing with my dog Dexter. Dexter is very happy when I get home with a big smile and happy to tell me about his visit from his friend!!! I would recommend Eric to anyone!!! Amazing job!!!”

About: 🌟 New to Rover? Use my referral code for your first booking and get $20 off! https://www.rover.com/sit/sylvis98118 🐱🐶 I’ve loved cats and dogs for as long as I can remember! I’ve had a family dog since high school — a sweet little Poodle who is now 10 years old and lives with my parents. I also have experience taking care of both dogs and cats. I’m new to Rover, but I’m responsible, patient, and truly love animals. You can trust that I will treat your pet with care, attention, and lots of love — just like they’re my own 😊 Taking care of pets has always been something I enjoy, and I would love the chance to take care of your furry friend! 🐾 I currently work part-time remotely, and my boyfriend works from 8 AM to 6 PM, usually getting home around 6:30 PM. This means I can give your pet plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day! I currently live in a pet-friendly apartment with a large dog park where your dog can run and play. There are also plenty of open spaces nearby for walks, so your furry friend will have plenty of room to explore and exercise.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I have experience with Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Boston Terriers, and mutts. I love playing with dogs and just giving them all the scratches/pets. I always let the dog come to me on their own terms. I want them to be comfortable and feel safe. I’m open to pet care mostly anytime. I am in between jobs and pursuing my career in Human Resources, so I am happy to help with pets. When I have watched family/friends pets in their home, I follow the instructions left for me. I love taking pictures of pets too, so you’ll receive lots of pictures.
“We love Andrea! She offered to do a meet and greet before we booked her. She is EXTREMELY punctual, caring, and sweet. More so, our sweet boy Beckham loves walking with her. He always waits for her by the staircase waiting! Thank you Andrea! We are so grateful for you!”

About: What truly sets me apart as a pet sitter is my extensive experience, diverse skill set, and unwavering passion for animals. Raising two Pomeranians and two shorthaired tuxedo cats from infancy to adulthood has provided me with invaluable insights into pet care. Additionally, my experience fostering pit bulls, pinchers, and golden retrievers has equipped me with the ability to handle a wide range of breeds and temperaments. One of my specialties is managing reactive dogs, a skill honed through firsthand experience with my own two Pomeranians. I understand the challenges of walking them in a bustling city and have developed effective strategies to keep them calm and well-behaved in such environments. This expertise ensures that I can provide exceptional care for all pets, regardless of their behavioral quirks or challenges. But beyond practical skills, my deep love for animals sets me apart. Being in their presence is not just a job for me – it's a source of joy and fulfillment. Every interaction, whether it's training a puppy or providing comfort to a senior pet, fills my soul with gratitude. This profound connection drives me to go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of every furry friend entrusted to my care. I work in person with occasional option for remote work and a lot of flexibility with hours. I am an early riser so tend to be up and moving by 7am the latest to get pet care sorted straight away and leaves me enough time to do thorough care routines prior to work. After work which can finish from 3-6pm Monday to Friday, I am free all evening to provide the necessary pet care I have a relatively smallish studio around 400 square feet that has a large window overlooking the city that can open but is not accessible (ie no pet or human can get outside just look outside). The pets are able to go wherever they want in the studio- bed, chairs, table etc (if they want!). The apartment is secure and inaccessible to most unless I let them in so is a safe home. I will ensure the pets if left alone are always safely in the apartment and have access to their food and water at all times. Extra accommodations like pads can be added to the house if not house trained. Animal safety and wellbeing is my upmost priority. As an animal owner myself, I understand the fear and anxiety with trusting someone to look after your angels which is why I treat all pets like my own and go above and beyond to ensure their safety. Open consistent communication is crucial to create a trusting relationship where the pets are at the heart of the conversation always so I will always send regular updates with photos throughout the day/night to ensure pet owners are involved and aware of what's going on

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Duarte
My dog Bodhi took to Sylvia right away...he does not do that with everyone. I handed her the leash and he went off with her with no hesitation...he was very excited. Sylvia has great energy!!! She took a darling picture of Bodhi which tells the minutes and how far he walked...very nice feature. I highly recommend Sylvia and already booked her again.
Vicky instantly won our two pups over. She’s very gentle and loving and our two dogs really enjoyed meeting her. We have two very active pups (Border Collie and Aussie). Our BC has so much fun on his walk with her. He came back very happy and don’t want her to leave. We’re excited to continue to have Vicky come and hangout with our two boys.

I had an amazing experience with Maybrit I was in San Francisco for work and needed someone reliable to take care of my dog, and she went above and beyond. She was flexible with my schedule, made sure my dog got plenty of walks, and sent me updates that gave me peace of mind while I was busy. It’s such a relief to find someone who truly loves and cares for animals. Highly recommend her to anyone who needs a trustworthy and caring dog sitter! 🐾 Corry says Hi!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
