About: I will be out of Tucson and pet sitting in Iowa from July 20th to October 15. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 12 years. My skills have overflowed into treating animals big, small and in between sizes (horses, dogs, cats, rats). I learned to communicate with animals by learning to read their body language and energy. With this skill, I have trained 5 dogs to use the treadmill, 1 cat to use the toilet, and 1 dog to pass his good canine certificate. I enjoy working with animals slightly more than humans...shhh don't tell my clients :) I am self employed as a Licensed Massage Therapist and I make my own schedule. I treat animals as well. I can adjust my schedule as needed. During the winter I prioritize my human clients which still allows me to overnight sit. During the summer I have more time to provide play dates and walks. As of now, I only accept overnight sits at the owners home. I have a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, issued by the AZ Dept. of Public Safety for my work as a Licensed Massage Therapist and for my volunteer work in Hospice. I combine my experience and intuition in observing how the owners respond to their pets and incorporate what the animal is familiar with. I bring my ability to communicate through body language and energy to create a calming presence. I ask clarifying questions. I know owners want the best for their pets!

“Kayla was absolutely wonderful taking care of our two big dogs. She exuded kindness, earnestness, and responsibility. While we were gone, she sent daily pictures and updates. Upon our return, while our dogs were very happy to see us, they were very attentive to her as well. Our house was clean and neat and the dogs were as well. She took them on daily walks and allowed our younger one to sleep with her. We could not be more satisfied with Kayla and highly recommend her without any reservations.”

We could tell the dogs were going to be fine with her. We had left her with a document of the dogs' daily routine. She did great following the instructions. While on our trip, she would text us updates and pictures. That was very thoughtful of her to do that. It made being away easier on us. The hardest part of taking care of our dogs is walking them because one likes to bark at everything and pull and the other one likes to lunge at cars. She did great and to our surprise, they behaved better for her! We would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a dog/house sitter.”
