“Kyree was great with Titan and very responsive. She even put together the new bowls for him that were delivered while I was gone. Would recommend to anyone looking to find someone who will treat their pet like family.”

“Rayven is great! she took care very well of my 3 pets and my house. She was always looking after their well-being and I will highly recommend her and work with her again! Thanks Rayven!”

“Alex is amazing. Always on time, send photos through out his time. He really pays attention to Howie’s habits and likes to help make him comfortable! He was event kind enough to buy him a new ball when Howie knocked them over the fence and I wasn’t able to get to the store to get more.”

“Nelson was great with my pups! They had a great time. He updated me frequently with pictures. He even set up a kennel for me and cleaned up before he left. I will use Nelson again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Elmer! From the moment we connected, his communication was excellent—he kept me updated regularly with messages, photos, and videos of my cat and dog, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Not only did he take wonderful care of my pets, but he also went above and beyond by looking after my home. When I returned, the house was even better than when I left it—clean, organized, and clearly treated with care. Elmer is truly one of a kind: trustworthy, responsible, and 100% reliable. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate pet sitter. He’s the best!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were a bit skeptical. After looking through reviews, we thought Skyler would be the best fit for our two dogs. He was a phenomenal dog sitter. We are grateful for the time and care he gave both of our dogs and our home.”

“Geneva was assumed with Pepper and beans. Being very tentative with them when it came to feeding and being let out. Also spending some social time with them. Ill def recommend and hire again for future vacations.!!!”

“Ziaya was amazing! She took excellent care of my two dogs and made us feel completely at ease leaving her in our home. Highly recommend her services! She took them on multiple walks and gave us updates along the way. She’s the best!”

“Extremely happy with how well Helen takes care of our boys! She’s very communicative and provided lots of pictures and videos of the dogs. I really appreciate having so much peace of mind while being out of town and we will continue booking with Helen when we need someone to dogsit!”

About: Hi my name is Zyjira. People talk about "the cat lady" but i'm the dog lady. I have owned a Toy poodle for about 2-3 years now. His name is Ruzzle. I got him at about 2 weeks old. I love taking him on runs when I go out in the mornings with me and just letting him free. Dogs are a huge thing in my family. So i am very familiar with their needs and also their wants. So I'm your sitter! I’m currently a SAH wife so I have plenty of time take care and play with your fur baby weather I’m dropping in, doing an over night with them or just going for a walk! My pup is welcome all around my 1000 square foot condo. Throughout the day we keep bedrooms door closed so you don’t have to worry about your dog going or getting into things they shouldn’t be
“Jenny was amazing with Oddy, she went above and beyond, I’m very grateful for the love and care she gave to Oddy also she kept me posted with beautiful pictures , I will contact her in the future , I highly recommend her, thank you Jenny”

About: I've taken care of animals since i was a child. From dogs to cats I've gained experience working, playing with and taking care of pet animals. Majority of my experience is with dogs of all sizes and breeds. Currently I am in the process of getting a full time job, so I'll be able to take care of your pups all day on my days off and before and after I work! I prefer to care for pets in their home where they are comfortable, in the exact way the client does when they take care of their pets. If the client has a set routine, then I'll follow it, otherwise I care for the pets by making sure they potty, eat food, playtime/go for a walk and clean any messes they may make.
“Great experience with Katie. Dogs loved her, very professional and kept our minds at ease while we were on vacation. She stayed at our house for two nights and could not have gone smoother.”

“Jordan took good care of Chance he kept my bay for 4 days while I went out of town to take care of some important business…. He left my home just the way it was when I left . Nice guy thank you Jordan”

About: My first pet sitting job was when I was 8 or 10. I’ve been a dog and cat lover for my whole life. I currently don’t have any pets, but I had multiple cats for over 20 years. I’ve also watched friends’ and families’ pets over the years. I treat animals as family members! I talk to them when I’m with them and try to interact with them as much as possible. I work full time out of the home, so I’m unable to do daytime play or potty breaks, but I’m single without children, so my evenings and weekends are often free! I treat all pets as members of their family. I respect animals the same way I respect their humans - each animal deserves to be well cared for and well loved!
About: I’m a huge animal lover that has been surrounded by dogs my whole life. Me and my wife share 2 pups! Kobe and Kona! My sweet girl Kona is 13 years old is the kind of dog that needs a bit more love and patience than most, so i’m great with paying close attention to a dogs behavior and getting to know what exactly makes them tick. With Kona being a senior dog with allergies and hip problems, I understand the slower care a senior dog needs. Kobe on the other hand is a silly boy that wants belly scratches from everyone. He is 1 years old and is still an energetic puppy! Getting to know your fur baby in a personal sense on its own time/terms gives me the confidence I need to believe that I will be a great dog walker and caregiver for your fur baby! I’m currently not working a full time job so I have a lot of time to care for your fur baby as needed! Mostly available for walks and sitting in the afternoon and evenings. I live in a larger 2 bedroom apartment with a big dog park and lots of walking and grassy areas surrounding me! I have 2 dogs, my senior dog sleeps the days away as she has hip problems and cannot run like she used to, and my puppy loves to play and share his toys and treats with all of his fur friends! Your dog will be given the most love and attention its heart desires! I live with my wife but she will not be caring for your fur baby.
“Alexi was wonderful with our dog. Her communications were excellent, sending photos and videos. I also appreciate that my house was left in excellent condition. I would happily book Alexi again.”

“This was our first time using Roover and Carmelo was amazing. He even came over before our trip to meet us and Lana and get to know her. She instantly wanted to play with him and we knew it was going to be a great fit! He sent us photos multiple times a day and you could see she was having the best time and how happy she was with him there. We even joked that she might miss him more than us when we got home! We are rebooking him for our next trip as well and would recommend him to anyone needing their pets watched.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Dewalt on Rover is $77.08 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,471 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dewalt. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dewalt walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dewalt maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dewalt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dewalt. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
