About: Ive always been around animals, both wild and domestic. I feel very fulfilled and passionate about working with animals, and understand their language quite well. Im happy to give exercise or comfort, whatever is needed. I can do some behavioral training as well. Im happy to adapt to whatever needs present themselves! I'm currently back at my parents house, waiting to join the Navy. I have plenty of free time and would love to spend it taking care of our furry friends! I have been traveling all over the country the past ten years, taking care of others pets and houses. This includes large lands, with chicken, goats, compost...the whole thing! I also have my own husky mix, and have kept her super happy and healthy. Ive also worked in behavioral health for years, and understand the approach that needs to be taken for both people and animals who have suffered from abuse.

About: I have owned dogs almost all my life and treat them as though they are my family. I have dealt with dogs who have to take medicine and dogs with different medical conditions. I have taken care of dogs of many different sizes from pugs to huskeys. I currently take care of my childhood dogs that live with my mother when she goes away. I am currently an unemployed college student, so over the summer I have all the time in the world to play, walk, and care for your pets! I will make sure that your pets follow all your house rules from putting them in a crate or not being allowed to use furniture.

About: I have taken care of my family friends dogs for years, often ranging from elderly mini poodles to energetic border collies. I also have my own dog, however, because I am away for college she is currently not with me. I am also a Division 1 Athlete so I love taking them out on walks and having fun with them. I am available on mornings of weekdays and all day on weekends, because I am a full time student-athlete. In addition, late evenings of weekdays work well for me as well. I will often take pets on walks and make sure they get adequate exercise. Having a pet of my own, I understand how important nutrition is to your pets and will follow whatever plan you have for them. In addition, I also acknowledge how important it is to have a clean pet, and can wash your pet.

About: Michael and I have been dog sitting through Rover for almost 4 years but have been dog owners most of our lives. We are passionate about providing the best care possible as we would for our dogs, Mya and Harley. This is what you can expect from us: - We schedule an initial phone call to learn more about your animals and the care you are looking for. If it seems like a good fit, we like scheduling a meet and greet to ensure your animals feel comfortable with us. (and possibly Mya and Harley) - We discuss payment (can be flexible depending on the number of animals and the length of the stay) and agree to either go through Rover or take private pay. - The experience on our profile does not reflect the amount of jobs we have done so feel free to ask for references of the families we have worked for! - We send daily updates and pictures during our stays to ensure you are comfortable and confident your pets are happy and being taken care of to your liking! I work fully REMOTE as a mental health counselor and am able to tailor my schedule to fit your animals needs. I have plenty of time to walk, play, feed and enjoy the company of your animals while working from your home. Being that I work remote - we ask if you would be comfortable accommodating our dogs Mya and Harley for house stays that are extended stays (2+ nights). I do my best to make other arrangements if possible but I do not always have the support needed for longer stays. Drop-in visits are more straight forward. Michael is less present throughout the day - working full time as a custom car mechanic but enjoys coming home and decompressing by taking long walks with the pups and playing before bedtime. Most of the dogs we have watched have really developed a heightened sense of comfort having more than one person they can build a connection with. We are available for morning walks, some afternoons and evening walks for drop-in visits. We offer to stay in your home because we know how change of environment can contribute to anxiety in your animals. It offers a more personal experience for your dogs and extra security knowing they will remain in their own homes with two caretakers. We are diligent with ensuring that your home is locked and animals are settled and comfortable for drop-in visits. We are happy to provide updates to ensure your comfort in how we are coming and going from your home.

About: Hi! My name is Shelby. I am a dog owner and a recent graduate with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science on the path of becoming a veterinarian. I am looking to take care of pets of any size. I have experience from all over but the most significant one is my current workplace where I function as a veterinarian technician, so I’m more than confident in my pet handling skills. With that job comes responsibilities like medicating animals, watching and understanding body language, looking out for problematic symptoms, etc. all things I succeed in. At the practice I work at, we deal with dogs and cats of all different sizes and temperament, so do not be too worried if you book with me. With that being said, getting to meet your fabulous pet would be a great pleasure for me not only because I love animals but because it moves me forward in what I strive to become, which is, an understanding and caring doctor of veterinary medicine! I’m currently working full time as a veterinary technician. My schedule is Monday through Friday from 9AM-6PM, with an hour lunch break. I do have the weekends off. I have a fur baby of my own so I know how important it is to make sure whoever takes care of your pet is doing their very best and nothing less of that. I am an active listener so whatever you want me to do it will be done to a tee. Crating, giving medicine, enrichment activities, etc. are all things within my capabilities and even if something isn’t I will be sure to let you know beforehand. I have house sit before so updates on anything will always be given and I will leave your home just as it was. Your home and pet is like another part of you so I would never treat it as less than that.

I love caregiving and playing with pups when I take a break, will happily follow any feeding/walking/medicine schedule you need. I always follow whatever rules my client has for their pet; climbing on furniture, cleanliness, and food intake, etc. If sitting in the clients home - I will respect your space and I can lift a medium sized dog if needed for medical reasons.

About: Hello! I love dogs and all animals! I worked in an animal hospital for 2 years and went to school for veterinary science. I also foster cats and dogs. I work a full time job M- F but have the weekends off. 3 of the 5 work days I get off around 4pm. If near my job, I can do during the day. I want your pet to feel comfortable. Doing something they enjoy to keep them mentally stimulated to keep them comfortable is very important. I also love lists of things or toys they enjoy.

“This was the first weekend that I had asked Maya to stay with my two dogs. Maya has walked my dogs many times prior to staying the weekend. And as always, she is very responsible, very caring, and is willing to go above and beyond to be helpful as she asked if I needed my plants watered or garbage taken out. Always willing to help in anyway she can. I am extremely happy to have found Maya to trust my two dogs with as I know she takes very good care of them and she takes them on almost a mile walk each time. I am very confident and having Maya stay at my house and careful, my pets, and I will definitely be asking her to do so again in the future.”
