“Kaylee did a great job. Very communicative and flexible when there was issues with our garage door opener while we were away. Glad to have her able to check in on our dog while we were away for a trip.”

About: I have been taking care and watching my own dog Millie for nearly a decade. I frequently walk, watch, and house sit for family and friends during the holidays. From puppies to older dogs I have experienced care with giving dogs medicine including diabetic shots. I love dogs and am passionate about taking care of them and making sure they are the happiest they can be. I’m currently in between jobs and looking for work so I am available any time during the week or weekend. I am currently dog walking for one client every week day around noon so outside of that I am available whenever needed! I frequently walk my own dog at home as well as feed them breakfast and dinner. I have dealt with many different breeds and types of dogs and can adapt to any station.
About: I have my own bull mastiff, trained him myself. Sit, stay, pray, paw, lay down, and he doesn’t pull on the leash and taught him how to “go home”. I’ve been around dogs my entire life as I have had a few and my mom has been on rover for 10 years dog sitting. I am a College student with primarily online classes so my schedule is flexible. I am not on campus, and am currently at home in Rolling Meadows. I care for pets in my own home as if they were my own. Very responsible college athlete, just finished my 3rd year of basketball and will graduate with my bachelors in May. Mindful of other peoples property and environments.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in my 20s. I’ve also taken care of senior dogs, so I know how to handle their special care. I’m very experienced in feeding and grooming, and I love the companionship it brings to a family! I am a stay at home mom, and my husband works from home, so there’s always someone there to watch and play with your fur baby! We always have lots of time for walking and playing throughout the day. I have an extremely safe neighborhood with a little park about a 3 minute walk away, two kids that love playing with dogs, (15 and 8) and an extremely friendly mini goldendoodle!

About: I offer over a decade of pet care experience ranging from medical-needs seniors to high-energy puppies. My background includes: Specialized Care: Administering medications and senior pet monitoring. Cats: Experience with newborn foster kittens and adult cats. Dogs: Skilled in walking, feeding, and active play for all breeds and ages. I pride myself on being a highly attentive and trustworthy sitter. I’ve cared for everything from tiny kittens to energetic mutts like Ethel and Pickle, and I look forward to meeting your furry friend! I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, which leaves me with plenty of open availability to dedicate to your pets. Whether you are heading out of town or just need a consistent weekly walker, my schedule allows me to be highly attentive and present throughout the day. I believe every pet is an individual, and I pride myself on being highly adaptable to their specific needs and your personal preferences. Whether it’s a strict feeding schedule or specific walking habits, I am here to provide consistent, respectful care. I focus on in-home services, meaning your pet gets to stay in their 'safe space' while receiving my full care and supervision.
About: I have watched dogs for friends and family since I was 12. I have cared for all sizes of dogs and own two dogs myself, one of which is a senior so I am familiar with special needs and instructions. I have been trusted to drop in, feed, let out, and walk dogs and have been trusted to stay overnight with them. I am familiar with special feeding instructions or any quirks that come with every individual dog :) While I am on summer break from school, this is the only job I have so I am frequently available to drop by. I am usually free any day of the week from mid morning until late at night. As long as I am aware ahead of time I will most likely make it fit into my schedule! I will not be offering to care for pets in my own home because one of my dogs has some trust issues with other animals.
About: I have taken care of dogs for over 15 years now. We always have had one dog at a time but love them dearly! We have a fenced backyard safe and clean for the dogs to roam around. If you need walks, let us know the schedule. We also rescued a puppy in Dec 2025 after our previous dog of 6 years passed away (from cancer). We have gated areas to keep pups apart for their alone time and get together for playtime! I am currently at home full time so I’m very flexible with hours and routine. I will work around the schedules to meet your dog’s needs. I have a FENCED backyard and our backyard is regularly cleaned. We have a gated area in the home to keep the dogs separate for their “me time” if needed. We also never let our dog upstairs or in the basement so if yours needs to sleep in the bed, we can’t do that. We also don’t let dogs on our couches. We love our furry family members and they should have their own furniture:) We have an XL crate if you prefer we can use it for your dog. We have several safe toys for the dogs but let me know if your pup has a tendency to get into things. We will always keep an eye out! We also have pet safe indoor plants throughout the home. If your dog has a habit of digging into pots, please let me know.

About: I own a GSD/Shar Pei Mix named Moose and have learned a lot since rescuing her in 2023. I've been volunteering at local shelters since then where I care for dogs of varying ages. Earlier this year, I completed a three-month internship with the Penn Vet Working Dog Center where we trained dogs in obedience, agility, scent work, husbandry, and more. I'm currently working part-time and studying to become a dog trainer. So I'm looking for every opportunity to walk and care for dogs of any ages and size to get all the experience I can! I will generally be available after 2pm on weekdays and am flexible on the weekends. I am very laid back and will work with you on whatever works best for walks/letting them out to stretch their legs and have some fun.
“Jason went above and beyond caring for our 4 pets! He ensured our dog's special diet and medication was given at the right time, and we are so grateful to trust that our pets were in good hands. Will be booking him again in the near future!”

About: I love dogs of all shapes and sizes! I had two labs growing up and another lab in my early twenties who I still grieve for today. I currently have no dogs of my own so I pour all my love into my friend’s dogs. The dog I had my twenties had behavioral issues and required patience and understanding in a short amount of time he went from being withdrawn and antisocial to a complete love bug! I’m unemployed but I take care of my disabled mom. Because of this I have a very flexible schedule. I have always loved dogs and miss having one of my own. I’m always excited to spend time with my friend’s dogs. I don’t plan on boarding any dogs at my own home. With how my mom’s health is now it wouldn’t be a good idea to do so.

About: hello! my name is charlize i’m 22 i’ve grown up with animals my whole life and now i currently work at an animal hospital helping taking care of the dogs and cats that come in to see the vet. i’m very experienced with animals and taking care of animals and i love all different kinds of animals. i’ve worked at the animal hospital now for two and a half years and its been the most amazing two and a half years of my life. i am also going to school to practice becoming a veterinarian so i am really excited to meet all new furry friends for more experience. i am good with administering medication, i am good with dealing with aggressive dogs, i am good with any diabetic cat or dog with dosing insulin. you name it and i can do it!! i work part time hours at the animal hospital during the summer months and full time during fall and winter but i am extremely flexible, as i work on my terms and conditions. i am willing to fit last minute accommodation if it works with my personal schedule but i can also take time out of my day if needed to walk a dog etc. i unfortunately cannot have pets in my building but i am more than willing and able to go to anyone else’s beloved home to pet sit, or walk, or feed animals. i come in with a soft expression and wait for the animals to get used to me and my scent and then i wait for their approval to come further in their home/space. i am very careful to not touch them when they don’t want to be touched and i am always patient with animals especially if they’re new to my route.

“Chose Doug to drop in on my two pups a couple times yesterday evening. Before the night he was needed, we had a meet and greet. Doug was very thorough in his questions and I felt extremely confident in choosing him to look after my dogs. All in all, he did a great job & I look forward to have him help us in the future.”

“Kelsey watched our cat for a week while we were out of town. She was always on time, took great photos and took excellent care of “our boy.” An issue came up with our garage door opening on its own, and Kelsey quickly got in touch with us and manually closed the door. And she made sure our house was secure. She made us feel completely secure knowing our house and our cat were being taken care of. We would definitely use Kelsey’s services again.”

About: I have been around pets my whole life and know how to read their body language. I am respectful if they need space and let them warm up to me. My family had large dogs and cats growing up that I helped care for and train. I helped care for 3 litters of puppies and I trained the puppies we kept. I also had a cat who was spoiled with love and lots of playtime. I work at a school and don't work during the summer, so I am very flexible. During the school year my availability will be afternoons/evenings on weekdays. I love cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I will love your pet like my own! I truly enjoy taking care of cats and dogs and giving them lots of play and affection. I always respect their space if they are afraid, but I am skilled at earning their trust and helping them warm up to me.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Deer Park
Ava did a great job with Millie! She kept us updated after every visit and was very thoughtful the whole time we were away. She even checked on our cat after hearing him making noise upstairs just to make sure he was okay, which we really appreciated. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she’s watching. We’d definitely book with her again. ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
