“I have known Katy for more than 20 years. We met at the time when we were both involved as puppy raisers with Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). CCI is a national organization which breeds and trains dogs to assist persons with various disabilities, with the exception of blindness. The puppies are breed in California. At the age of eight weeks, each puppy is placed in a private home for its first year to 15 months. The puppy raiser is expected to socialize the puppy and teach it about 40 commands. This requires the puppy raiser to be with the puppy 24/7 taking the puppy/dog into the community. This prepares the dog for its eventual role as a service animal. Bi-weekly classes with CCI professional trainers inform the puppy raisers about health, grooming, training, and other aspects of canine care. I believe Katy and her husband raised two puppies. One graduated and went into service. The other was not able to meet the high standards of CCI and became a very well-trained pet in their home. At that time, Katy and her husband acquired another puppy, not from CCI, so they had two dogs. My husband and I frequently pet-sat these two dogs. I always found them to be healthy, well-groomed, and a joy to have in our home. Katy is a warm, outgoing, caring person who loves dogs and cats. She and her husband are pet owners themselves. She is especially well informed about the care of dogs as a result of her experience with CCI. I believe Katy to be trustworthy and of highest integrity. I can recommend her to Rover without reservation.”

About: I have a 14 year old pit bull that I love and adore! I recently had to put down my other male dog down which made me very sad. My dogs have shown me the ropes since we have had them as young as 6 months. Now I'm showing my children the ropes with them! When I hang out with your fur babies, I will give them lots of back/stomach rubs, play time and nice long walks, so long as the weather cooperates. I will follow their schedules and try to mimic your ways so they don't miss you too much while gone. I will gladly send lots of picture updates while you are gone, during drop in visits or on our walks so you feel as if you are there with them. I work from home so I have a flexible schedule that I can work around my meetings.

“What lovely people! Even though it was the first time Bonny had ever been to any kind of day care, I felt very confident leaving her with Candace and Larry. And my confidence was justified, I collected a very happy, somewhat tired dog 5 hours later. Definitely recommend and will use again”

About: I have cared for pets all of my life. I have had pets from their baby stages all the way until they were old and could no longer walk. In 2022 two of my babies (13 and 14 years old) crossed the rainbow bridge that I had since they were weeks old. This is the reason why right now we do not have pets of our own in our home. Loving on animals is what brings me the most healing. I volunteer at Judy's Pet Rescue and recently fostered a sweet dog during the hurricane. We welcome high energy to the very chill energy. We want your baby to feel as if they are home away from home. Any information to achieve this, please share! I am an entrepreneur and most of my work is on the phone. I work hard so we can play hard! We like to stay active and would welcome and love the energy of your fur baby! Your fur baby will receive respect and lots of love. We love to give cuddles, hugs and kisses. We hope to bring their fun side out and play!
