About: Hi! I’m Victoria, a local Sanford dog sitter and proud dog mom to Leo, my toy schnauzer. I provide a safe, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family—not just pets. No cramped kennels or long hours alone. They’ll have the run of the house, plenty of outdoor time, belly rubs, treats, and all the love they could ask for. A brief Meet & Greet is required prior to sitting for all new clients to assure compatibility. I work remotely, which means your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. Whether they’re here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, they’ll enjoy plenty of outdoor breaks, playtime, cuddles, and individualized attention. I intentionally keep my boarding numbers low to create a calm, low-stress environment where every dog receives the care they deserve. We have policies in place to make sure dogs, who are escape artists, aren’t able to make a run for it, we space feeding time and walking time as research has shown eating prior to a walk and immediately after can cause bloating and other complications. It’s my mission your dog is safe at all times so you can worry less when your dog is not with you.
“Biscuit had a great doggy day care experience! So friendly and welcoming from the second upon arrival. I was updated with the cutest photos and videos throughout the day and there is a great fenced in yard for the dogs to play. Will definitely book again!”

About: I pet sit small to medium dogs in my home and yours if needed. I walk, exercise and play with them. Spend quality time with them. I do not cat sit in my home. I will go to your home and look after your cat. Litter change, feed and spend time with pet. As I mentioned, I do not sit cats in my house but I will visit your home and care for your cat in their environment.
“Would definitely leave Meeko with Juan again, he sent videos throughout the day and was very accommodating to my schedule, also you cant beat the yard space that he’s got so that doggos can play freely 🙂”

“First time, but it definitely won’t be our last! So glad that I could find somebody trustworthy and reliable to watch my Angel when we are out of town. I received so many pictures and updates and felt safe and relieved the whole time I was away. For reference, I have 105 pound great dane and and she had so much fun!”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing with Mia! She is highly communicative, kept me updated throughout the day, and sent lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Mia had an incredible day and came home happy and tired—which, as every dog owner knows, means she had a great time! Sarah also went above and beyond by accepting not one, but TWO last-minute bookings for me, which I truly appreciated. It’s clear that Sarah genuinely cares about the dogs she watches, and Mia was so comfortable and happy with her. We’re both very happy customers, and Mia is already excited to go back tomorrow! 🐾🐾🐾 Thank you, Sarah! We highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional Rover sitter.”

I was initially nervous about leaving my dog with someone unfamiliar, but as soon as Sasha met him, she showered him with love, and he was very happy. He didn’t even notice when I left! I felt a huge relief knowing he was in good hands. Sasha was incredibly kind and even sent me pictures, which made me even happier. I would absolutely choose Sasha to care for my dog again.”
About: “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” - Anatole France. I am a full-time dog mom, that thrives from the happiness of a wagging tail. I have joined this community as I have found the anxiety of leaving my own animals often times overwhelming. So I wanted to provide service to allow others pets to feel loved, safe, and have a little fun. I have 2 fur babies of my own, that I have had since they were puppies. Our oldest queen is 12 year old senior dog and if she could talk she would tell you I never give up on belly scratches and endless snuggles. Then, we have our 7 year old spit fire who could play chase all day, make messes, have accidents, and still fall safe in to a ball of cuddles at the end of play. My range of care helps relieve the stress of traveling and working. You'll come home to thriving plants and happy pets. I have extensive experience in taking care of my own pets puppies, and senior dogs. My oldest dog has one eye and I had to nurture her last year during that process of recovery. So I am very patient and non-judgmental; at the end of the day they just want to be loved. I am no stranger to felines either. I have watched friends cats over an extensive period of time, and enjoy the different personalities that come with each new job. I thrive to love the animals as my own and meet their own personal needs. My schedule is flexible to work around the needs and desires of your fur-baby. I am a stay at home mom to a seven year old daughter. Pet care and house sitting is the perfect fit to our schedule as I have great flexibility. I am able to accommodate the pet/home owners needs in my schedule according to their regular routine, and even pop in for additional visits for those who are anxious. I provide care for pets in the pet owners home as I have 2 dogs of my own, one being a senior dog. I always make sure the water bowl is full first prior to any walks or feedings. I acknowledge the animal and gage what type of attention the pet enjoys. Taking care of a pet is not only about the bathroom breaks and the food but about providing companionship while the owner is away.

“Holly has been absolutely amazing her nurturing and caring came through with every update. I saw of my fur baby today thank you Holly. Look forward to working with you again in the future.”

We are a small at home dog boarding and daycare taking pride in allowing only a certain amount of dogs to ensure quality over quantity. We believe in being selective to make sure it is the right fit for everyone. I am a full time stay-at-home mom (and fur mom) which makes it a perfect place for your pet! I will be available to take care of your babies all the time! Let us love your pet like you do!🐾🤍🐾 I am a full time stay at home mom (and fur mom) which makes it a perfect place for your pet! I will be available to take care of your babies all the time! We are a family of five with three children. We live on a cul-de-sac with a fenced in backyard on .25 of an acre. We have two dogs whom I am completely obsessed with! “Rachel did a great job taking care of Charlie. He was calm when I arrived to pick him up. Rachel reported that he ate his dinner with no problem and didn't bark once. Setting up the appointment was easy as was communication. Rachel provided a calm, safe, orderly environment for Charlie to relax and feel at home. And that helped me to relax, knowing he was well taken care of.”

We couldn’t be happier with the care Douglania provided for our dog, Buster! As a pandemic rescue pup with separation anxiety, we were nervous about daycare, but Douglania was incredibly patient, supportive, and understanding. In just a short time, Buster’s socialization skills and confidence have improved so much. He comes home happy and relaxed every day. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she watches, and we’re so grateful for the love and attention she gave Buster. Highly recommend!

I would give 100 stars if I could! Miranda and Curtis were AMAZING in dealing with Tanner, my energetic pup! They did such a good job helping him work through his anxiety and anxiousness and he came home happy, tired, and well loved! Will definitely be using them again in the future! Truly a wonderful experience!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sanford commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,933 sitters in Sanford, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
