“Jennifer is totally awesome at what she does for our fur babies. We wouldn’t know what we would do without her. She keeps us informed, she post the best photos and provides a great summary of the visits. She is truly the best and we are grateful that we found her on Rover.”

“Alexandria was great with our dogs! Was never in a rush, gave medications, and became fast friends with our pups. They communicated very well and the report cards were great. Loved the photos. Will book again.”
“Brandon and Melissa were very prompt, follow directions well, and made sure that Holmes was comfortable and well taken care of. He is stubborn about eating his food when stressed out and they sat and hand fed him until he started to eat on his own. They sent lots of pictures and were very communicative. I would use them again!”

“Desiree was great! Showed up right on time for each visit, had no issues with all of my instructions and most importantly all four of my dogs were comfortable with her. Certainly recommend and will be using her services again!”

“Lori is amazing! She is super sweet and super understanding. She did wonderful taking great care of my fur babies while away and messaged me letting me know how they are with pictures. About: I’m a retired educator and animal lover with the time and flexibility to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care. While I’m newer to professional pet sitting, I’ve cared for my own animals for years, completed two long-distance puppy transports from DFW to Charlotte and Los Angeles, and have repeat sitting experience with my cousin’s two dogs. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable and patient caring for your pets and home. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, whether that means walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra cuddles. I’m also comfortable giving basic medications if needed. What sets me apart is that I have the time to truly focus on your pets and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I also believe good communication matters, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I’m retired, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to devote to caring for your pets. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet would receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily work around your pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, or quiet time. My goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed by keeping their routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with both your pets and your home is a big decision. I will always treat your home with respect and care while making your pet’s safety and comfort my top priority. I pay close attention to routines, instructions, and any special needs to help pets feel secure and stress-free in their familiar environment. I’m dependable, calm, and attentive, and I believe in keeping owners updated with regular communication and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.
“Sierra did such a great job checking in on my two dogs. She was always timely and the dogs were so comfortable with her. She was sweet and patient with with them. Also, she takes the cutest pictures! I will definitely be booking again with her in the future.”

“Where do I begin?! Haiden is amazing!! She went beyond expectations and our animals were so well taken care of. We had to leave quickly for a family emergency and she took so much worry and stress off my shoulders. Our Chihuahua was scared/hesitant at first but Haiden took the time and patience and won him over in just a couple of days. She truly is incredible, obviously cares about animals and I have zero worries about leaving my furry family in her care.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for around three years. Sometimes even for multiple days caring for animals such as bunnies(even having one myself) 2 dogs,3 chickens, a guinea pig and 3 cats all at once. I’ve cared for multiple puppies and kittens as well as bathing them and caring for ailments. I am working a 2 part times right now but mainly during nights and late evenings so mornings or nights work amazing! But I am off a good amount of days for spontaneous need for a sitter. I care for 2 in my home right now and occasionally sitting some dogs. As of now i will not be sitting in house for safety purposes.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Timber
My booking was last minute and I wasnt able to get my usual sitter, however Heather saved rhe day. She did an amazing job with my babies! She made sure to keep in contact when she would be delayed even if by 1 hour. I really appreciated the open communication. The food area was clean and the litter box did NOT smell. Wonderful job! I will be using Heather again.

Alyssa took on our pets last minute after another sitter fell through on the same day! She was a life saver. We were so happy to have found her through Rover’s customer service and will be booking with her again for the future. She took care of our large dog and 2 cats and made sure they received all the lovings while we were gone. She kept our space neat and tidy after our pets would make normal pet mess like tracking dust and litter. Updates were great and our pets looked obviously happy in each picture.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cross Timber. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
