About: I've had dogs ever since I was a child. Big and small dogs! I have one dog, named Benson (Great Pyrenees). He loves going on walks and cuddling on the couch. I am a teacher, so in the summer I'm all free! I have a dog at home as well. I have a few trips and summer plans but not much. I have a yard for him and he loves going on walks. He is a free feeder and nonaggressive. He typically is sleeping more than awake.

About: I have worked with animals a majority of my life. Whether it be dogs, cats, or even exotics, I have worked with a wide variety of creatures. This includes pet sitting, diet management, some training, daycare, and more. I also have 2 years of veterinary experience giving me an insight to recognize behaviors of all sorts of pets alike along with understanding how to work with them. I absolutely love pets, after all I love my own. I have about 7 of them myself including fur and scaled babies alike. My mornings usually start with them, and my nights end with them as well. I am always off for the evenings and have breaks in between seeing clients as well throughout the day. I am off for weekends and typically available, unless there are prior plans that I've committed to. I ensure that all pet needs are met and check on the pet at least 3x time a day (subject to change depending on the owners preferences). I take them out to go potty, I feed them food and water, and I take them on at least one walk per day. I will spend a portion of time playing with them and giving them attention to ensure they feel loved. If I am watching them during the weekend, I will take them to a park and to grab a pup cup, with the owners permission. If they get dirty or leave a mess, I will make sure to clean them up and the mess up as well. Overall, I want the owner to come back to a stress-free home and to a healthy & happy pet!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for about 4-5 years. Dog-sitting and cat-sitting for my church family and friends, I really enjoy it. I also have a fur baby of my own. I love him so much, and he is so spoiled, like any animal should be! I’m not really busy other than running maybe a few errands. I will be able to stay and play with your fur baby’s most of the day and all night. I have a spacious backyard where they can run and play. I started decades ago with local strays and rescues, learning the foundations of animal behavior and ensuring our community cats and neighbors pets were safe and healthy. By 1997, I started volunteering with the Inland Valley Humane Society. Later, I volunteered with the Yolo County SPCA while attending UC Davis, learning from top veterinary professionals from the top veterinary school in the nation. Upon graduation, I volunteered with multiple animal welfare groups elsewhere in the state, synthesizing this institutional knowledge helping numerous rescue groups in the Inland Empire socializing dogs and cats, managing several cat colonies, and assisting fosters and pet owners with specialized support for sick and injured wards. While I am not a veterinarian and can never diagnose ailments, I am exceptionally experienced in the rehabilitation and recovery process. I am not altogether sure what this prompt is asking because animal care isn't necessarily something that always conveniently fits into one's schedule. I've done hour long socialization visits, companionship visits, all the way to all-nighters providing fluids and medications to parvo afflicted puppy liters. An animal's well-being and quality of life are the only components we must consider. Whether that's a bit of exercise, a clean water bowl with nutrious food, a nervous pet with separation anxiety, socialization needs, or treatment and rehabilitation, they all have to be considered as fundimental to a pet's welfare. My experience has exposed me to just about everything I can think of. I will be teaching soon, hopefully for the Fort Worth ISD or some other local public school district, but work has never been a constraint. Pet welfare is a 24/7 affair when the lives and well-being of our family members are at stake. Boarding outside of their familiar territory is not the most ideal situation for an animal. However, I have several crates, x pens, toys, portable catteries, etc. with which to provide them a sense of comfort and security, so long as we fill that space with things for which they can find a sense of familiarity. But, again, I prefer to not remove a pet from the territory where they feel most comfortable whenever possible. Not only are they separated from their guardian, they would then be in a new environment, with new scents, new sights, new social dynamics, new animals, etc. It's not the most comfortable situation for them to put it mildly. For creatures that derive their security from routine and familiarity, one change can be overwhelming; but multiple changes can send them spiraling. And traumatizing a pet is the very antithesis of caregiving, in my opinion. However, after a few visits and they get to know and trust their caregiver, these dynamics can change dramatically. But, the key is always make their visit as seamless and comforting as possible. With that stated, routine is the most reassuring agent. The times they eat, exercise, sleep, take medications, treats, etc, whatever their schedule is, adhering to it as strictly as you can is crucial. That's how a caregiver maintains tranquility in a period of potential high anxiety for pets.

I live in a quiet neighborhood and have a very large yard behind my RV, perfect for running and playing with your dog. We also have some green areas and parks around. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, doggy daycare, and overnight stays. I’m usually available every weekend and two full days during the week for boarding, doggy daycare, and walks! I’ll always make sure my furry guests get a walk and are fed before I leave and as soon as I return home. I live in an RV next to a house, where the owner has one dog. The house has fenced areas on both sides, and I have my own separate entrance to my property. The fences remain closed throughout the day to help keep all the pets safe.
