Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and normal routine are my priorities. During every visit or housesitting stay, I carefully follow the feeding, medication, exercise, household, and safety instructions we discuss during our complimentary Meet & Greet. Detailed written instructions are always appreciated! I respect your established routines and will reinforce the training and behavior techniques you are currently using so your pet receives consistent care in your absence. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or anything else that seems out of the ordinary. Your home is treated with the same care and respect I would want someone to show my own. Keys, entry codes, alarm information, and other home-access details are kept private and secure. You can expect dependable communication, respect for your property, and conscientious care of both your pets and your home.

Information Lori C. would like to know about your pet

For new clients, I require at least 2 days' advance notice for drop-in visits and dog walks. I do not accept last-minute bookings from new clients because I want us to have time to meet, discuss your pet's needs, and make sure we're a good fit. After your initial inquiry, we'll schedule a complimentary Meet & Greet in your home. This gives me the opportunity to get to know your pet's personality, routine, habits, likes and dislikes, and any special care or behavioral needs. We'll also review exactly what you'd like me to do while your pet is in my care. Before our Meet & Greet, please complete your pet's Rover profile, including a current photo and all requested care information. The more I know ahead of time, the better prepared I can be to provide safe, consistent care. For dogs, please let me know about: Any history of aggression, biting, snapping, or attacks involving people or other animals Jumping or other behaviors that may be difficult to safely redirect Potty/house-training status Any fears, triggers, reactivity, escape tendencies, or resource guarding Current rabies vaccination as required by law Please note: I am unable to accept bully breeds or dogs whose jumping, aggression, or other behaviors present a safety concern for me or others.

A typical day

I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible because consistency helps pets feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Depending on your pet’s personality, energy level and preferences, our time may include walks, outdoor play, indoor games, enrichment activities, cuddle time or simply relaxing together. I’m an engaged, hands-on sitter and enjoy discovering what makes each pet happy. I appreciate detailed instructions and will follow your preferences closely. If I think of something new your pet may enjoy, I’ll always communicate with you first.

Pet care experience

Experienced, Hands-On Pet Care | 450 Five-Star Reviews 🐾 Your pets aren't just a checklist to me. When I'm caring for them, I'm actively engaged with them—whether that means playtime with an energetic dog, patiently earning the trust of a shy cat, or simply sitting quietly with a senior pet who needs companionship and reassurance. With 450 five-star reviews, years of professional pet-care experience, and a lifetime of caring for animals, I understand that pet sitting is about more than food, water and potty breaks. It's about giving you peace of mind while helping your pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for in their own environment. Experience includes: Dogs and cats of all ages, from puppies and kittens to very senior pets Rescue dogs, including fearful and previously abused dogs Senior and special-needs pet care Insulin administration Specialized homemade meal preparation and raw feeding Fainting goats, rabbits, sugar gliders, small rodents, geckos, birds and tropical fish Pet First Aid/CPR and Senior Dog Care certificates I also have extensive rescue fostering and rehabilitation experience. Over five years, I fostered 17 beagles, including a mother with two newborn puppies and a severely abused dog who arrived fearful and defensive. With patience, consistency and trust-building, he blossomed into an affectionate, playful dog and was successfully placed in a loving home. Before moving to Texas, I operated a successful in-home boarding and doggie daycare business for nine years, giving me extensive experience caring for multiple pets with different personalities, routines and needs. Senior dogs have an especially tender place in my heart. My own beloved beagle lived to 18 years and 9 months, so I understand firsthand the extra patience, observation and gentle care our elderly companions may need. Traveling or living in an RV? I can help there, too. I've lived full-time in an RV for five years and understand RV systems, temperature concerns and the unique considerations of caring for pets in RV parks. Above all, I want you to leave home knowing your pets aren't simply being "checked on." They're being noticed, engaged with and genuinely cared for. Pawzitive FX Pet Parent Peace of Mind

Once again Lori has gone above and beyond taking care of my kitties. It was such a blessing to know our kitties were well taken care of…. Fresh food and water… treats.., and litter boxes and floors cleaned everyday. Even made sure trash went to/from pick up place. My favorite part though, were the pictures/videos of our kitties each day. Thank-you Lori for giving us peace of mind while we were away.

Lori is amazing! She did everything we ask and more. Her daily reports and pictures helped me to feel my babies were well taken care of. We are so thankful for Lori and all she did while we were on a much needed vacation.
