“I’m writing this prior to the visit today but I already know Sydney is going to take amazing care of my boys! I work a crazy unpredictable schedule but anytime I reach out for help with my boys, Sydney is ready to jump in and make sure my boys are taken care of. I appreciate you so much!!”

“Ashley checked on our cat while we were away for christmas and she did a lovely job. He was well taken care of and she provided detailed updates of his care with lots of pictures. She also took in our packages :)”

About: Hi! I’m Esme, a huge animal lover and proud pet parent. I have a Mini American Shepherd named Kita, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your furry family members. While I adore dogs, I’m also a big cat lover! Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, chasing toys, or simply having someone keep them company while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. I know every pet has their own unique personality, and I love taking the time to get to know them. From energetic pups to shy kitties, my goal is always to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and become their new bestie! 🐾💕 Animals are already a huge part of my life! As a dog mom to my Mini American Shepherd, Kita, pet care is built into my daily routine. My days are filled with walks, playtime, training, and lots of cuddles. I genuinely love spending time with animals, so caring for pets feels less like work and more like something I enjoy. Whether it’s a dog who loves adventure or a cat who just wants a quiet companion, I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to the routines they’re familiar with, so I always try to follow their normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, fresh water, meals, and, of course, lots of love. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs. Some pets love long walks and play sessions, while others prefer cuddles on the couch or a quiet companion nearby. I’m happy to adapt to what makes your pet feel most comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect both your pet’s routine and your home, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.
“Nicole was amazing with my two cats. She always made sure the food and water bowls were full and sent me pictures of the bowls and the cleaned litter box. She even swept out the litter box cabinet and emptied the litter genie which was above and beyond anything I asked her to do. To top it all off, she brought my cats a brand new toy and a bag of chocolates for me. I could not be happier with the service provided.”

About: What sets me apart from all the other animal lovers out there? Well I spent my early adulthood having fun and still making sure to keep my pets happy and healthy at home. I think most people shy away from having a pet in their early 20s but I could not be in my apartment without some snuggles or crazy zoomies from the endlessly loving pets we get to have. My schedule is a little flexible, I work from home 4 out of 5 days a week and have a car to get from place to place In my home I am responsible for feeding my animals making sure thy have fresh water and sifting litter boxes. As well as playing with them to get out any extra energy. I also am a stickler for making sure exteriors door are always closed.

“Laurie was very kind and flexible when I had to make a last minute change. She sent plenty of photos and left comments to make sure I knew how my doggo was doing! Will book again!”

About: I've taken care of animals most of my life. I have a very flexible schedule and am willing to work with any animals. I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I have a very open schedule at the moment. I care for my sister's pets while she is at work. So I have a lot of time to spare I pride myself on following directions to a T. Any instructions left for me will be followed and I am not afraid to ask for clarification. My goal is to put your mind at ease knowing your pets are in great hands.

“Thank you Erika!! Great communication and treated my pets with love and care! Followed all my instructions to a T, including giving my pets their medication, and gave them lots of snuggles! They were happy as could be when I got back from my trip. Erika is a top notch sitter, and I will definitely be hiring again! Thanks again!”

“Jonathan has taken care of our elderly dog several times in the last year. He is reliable, flexible, responsible and follows through on specific instructions we have to leave for our elderly dog.”

About: I've had and taken care of animals my whole life. Starting with an American Bulldog as my childhood pet, I have experience with mastiffs to chihuahuas and cats and everything in between! I am a former dog groomer, specializing in energy and trust! Looking forward to giving your pet a break from the day to day and getting some fresh air! I'm currently working part time and have availability to fit in your pet care needs! I am a mom of school aged kids, so availability until 2pm almost daily. My own pets are always supervised outside. I currently have a bullmastiff, a shitzu mix, a very bouncy boxer puppy and a cat. Feedings are separated to allow some personal space :)

“April was fantastic with my 2-year-old male 50-pound lab/border collie mix with 3 drop-in visits a day while I was out of town for 4 days. She kept him very happy doing a lot of his favorite thing - playing fetch. I will definitely ask her to take care of Zeke again!”
“Jenn is AMAZING we needed a last minute drop in for my four dogs and she was willing to do a meet and greet the night before and moved in my dogs like they were her own. She was great with all different ages and breads we have which is rare to find. My dogs were much happier when I came home from work and I could tell they had been loved on. We will be a reoccurring customer of hers as she has been such a blessing. I love knowing someone as AMAZING as Jenn is loving on my pups when I can’t.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cottonwood
Jenn was amazing with all of my pets. Each day, she had to play hide and seek with the cats to give them pills and shots, and managed to do while also making them love her. She was very thoughtful with my dogs, providing lots of cuddles to ease their separation anxiety, and even put a dog-friendly videos on the TV before she left each day (without being asked). I will definitely book with Jenn again and again.

Megan connected so quickly with my cat and he seemed to be so comfortable with her, he even let her give him his supplement. The second time they hung out together.. it gives me such encouragement in leaving him in her care. Megan is very responsive and professional. I recommend her to anyone who is in need of someone to love on their fur baby and care for them.

Kyla was communicative, reliable, and so pleasant to work with. This was our first time leaving our cat, and she truly eased my guilt and anxiety by keeping me updated and taking great care of our girl. I would absolutely recommend Kyla to friends and wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again whenever we’re out of town.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cottonwood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
