“Michael and Jess did an amazing job keeping our Cattle dog tired and well fed while we were away for a week. They took great photos, showed up on time, and stayed extra when needed for the pup to eat. On top of that they did an extra drop in when our trip plans changed.”

“Nancy is phenomenal! She loves my dog and takes such good care of him. I know he’s in the very best hands when I have to be away. She has been so reliable and an absolute lifesaver. I trust her completely and am so grateful to have found her! She’s been taking care of my dog since he was a little puppy, and I know he just loves Nancy! I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for a wonderful, trustworthy person to care for their pets.”

“Maycee is wonderful, so glad to have found her for my pups! She went above and beyond trying to soothe one of my fearful doggies and spent extra time giving them much need attention and love while we were away. Definitely will be using again!”

About: I used to do rover with a friend, so I am able to handle taking care of any dog. I've cared for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that take medication. I've also had to deal with big strong dogs that pull a lot on walks. I am also able to do extra things like picking up dog waste in your backyard, as I did that for a pet service industry. I have a very open schedule meaning that I am able to walk or sit for dogs at any time of any day. I am also open to coming over late if needed. I care for my own dogs by making sure they're clean, fed, amd healthy. I will make sure to do the same for your dog by making sure they're happy and healthy whenever they're with me.
About: Have been pet sitting neighbors dogs and cats before. This includes feeding, topping off water, walking, and cleaning up after them. They were Pomeranian, chiwawa mix, border Collie, and short haired Bernese Mountain Dog. Also comfortable with cats as well. Not afraid of litter box cleaning, feeding, and topping off water. Love to use cat toys. I am currently unemployed and have a very flexible schedule right now. I am more than happy to help any pet in need to help the owners out. I normally play with the pet, make sure they have enough food and water. Make sure their needs are met. Take them for walks if needed.
“We love having Kevin and Lisa drop in on our cat while we are away! They are so great about playing with him, taking cute photos, and keeping us updated on how he’s doing.”

“Isaac is the best. We don’t worry about our cat and dog when we book Isaac. Our 21 year old cat makes it hard for us to leave and he checks on her twice per day! Not a worry now! Our dog loves him and their walks. He is on it! Extremely reliable and treats your home and pets like his own! Finding Isaac has been a blessing.”
About: We are a family of pet lovers with years of experience caring for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to rats, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, fish, and chickens. From raising these animals with our kids to always having pets at home, we are comfortable with diverse pet types, including watering, feeding, and collecting eggs for ducks and chickens. Currently, we care for three young rat terriers and one senior rat terrier, keeping us up-to-date with pet care needs, especially for seniors. We have experience with puppies, kittens, and senior pets, understanding their unique requirements for attention and care. Larry and I are retired, so we can accommodate most scheduling needs for pet care, including last-minute requests. If there's ever a conflict, we'll communicate promptly to find a solution. Additionally, our son, who works remotely, is available to ensure continuous care, offering extra flexibility. Your pet's safety and well-being are our top priorities. We treat every pet as if they were our own, providing a loving and secure environment. With multiple family members available—Larry and I as retirees, and our son who works remotely—your pet will receive constant attention and care, ensuring peace of mind.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Windy Hills
Kylie did a perfect job of caring for Leo and our house! She was amazingly good at giving him his pills, and I could tell he was very fond of his new buddy! She communicated clearly and took care of everything we needed. What a comfort to know that we could count on Kylie! We will definitely have her back, and probably go on more trips now! :-)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
